Chapter 203 Isaac Gains Recognition
"What's up with you now?" Nora asked, all jittery.
Isaac shot back, "Are those things at your home prepared for them?"
Nora nodded, "Yeah. I promised my friend to keep it on the down-low, so I didn't tell you."
Since he was already in the loop, she figured there was no point in hiding it anymore.
At least now, there was a legit reason for Magnus and Soren's identities.
Plus, Isaac couldn't see Magnus and Soren's faces, it was cool to let him know.
"So, those kids I was holding that night, they were them? Wesley wasn't tripping; the kids he saw were them too?"
Isaac squinted, his eyes full of mixed emotions.
Nora quickly denied, "No way. The night you crashed here, they hadn't shown up yet. I was just getting stuff ready for them!
"And didn't Wesley check the cameras? You don't trust the footage?"
Isaac paused, thinking maybe he was overthinking it.
No way this little boy looked like him.
And the cameras had been checked.
It seemed that he really drank too much that night and had a wild dream.
As for Wesley, it was confirmed he was seeing things.
Isaac stopped stressing and started playing those silly games with Magnus and Soren.
As long as he had a reason to hang out with Nora, playing with these kids was no biggie.
Plus, he didn't mind it. Hearing their innocent giggles, he kinda enjoyed it.
Nora quietly pulled Olivia and Ava aside and told them, "Keep an eye out and don't let him take off Magnus and Soren's masks. And don't let them do it either. You guys keep your hands off too; no peeking!"
Even Olivia and Ava had never seen Magnus and Soren's faces.
If they had, they'd instantly know Magnus and Soren's dad was Isaac!
Olivia and Ava said, "Ms. Foster, don't worry. We won't look at what we shouldn't, ask what we shouldn't, or say what we shouldn't. We won't jump to conclusions either. That's why we've never had a bad review all these years."
Nora gratefully said, "Thanks."
Nora stood there for a bit. Watching Magnus and Soren having a blast with Isaac, a warm feeling spread in her heart.
It was a lucky break that gave Isaac a chance to hang out with Magnus and Soren.
Even though they didn't know who each other was, at least they met and bonded.
Her guilt and regret eased up a bit.
Nora watched for a while, and everything seemed cool, so she headed to the studio to get to work.
Nora got lost in her work.
It wasn't until noon when Isaac came to get her for lunch that she put down her brush and joined them.
Looking at the food on the table, Nora knew it was all Isaac's doing.
Nora stayed quiet for a moment and sat down without a word.
Soren, who had been sitting nicely, immediately hopped off her little stool when she saw Isaac sit down. She toddled over to Isaac with her short legs, looking up at him all cute.
"Isaac, can you hold me and feed me?" Soren asked, all cute and stuff.
Isaac was about to say something when Nora jumped in, "Nope, you eat by yourself!"
Soren turned to Nora, blinking those big eyes. "Why not? Do you want Isaac to hold you too?"
Nora's mouth twitched. 'Why did she think that way? When did I say that?'
Before she could explain, Soren piped up again, "Isaac, I like you. I want you to hold me. Nora seems to want you to hold her too. Can you hold both of us?"
Isaac's eyes sparkled with amusement, and he said in a deep voice, "Sure, I don't mind."
Nora snapped, "I mind! You know kids don't get it, why are you messing with me?"
Isaac shrugged, all innocent. "You used to love sitting on my lap and having me feed you. I thought you missed the good old days. Didn't realize you didn't want to."
Nora's heart skipped a beat, memories flooding back.
Back when she and Isaac were head over heels, they couldn't stand being apart.
She'd sit on his lap, lean against his chest, and have him feed her like a baby.
Nora's face turned bright red, and she glared at Isaac. "Stop talking nonsense. I don't miss the past!"
Magnus and Soren watched them, eyes darting back and forth, full of curiosity.
They thought, 'So, Mommy and Isaac used to be a thing? Could Isaac be our dad? Magnus looks so much like him.'
Everyone kept eating, lost in their own thoughts.
After the meal, Nora went back to work, and Isaac kept playing with the kids.
The two high-paid nannies didn't have much to do, just stepping in when the kids needed the bathroom.
In the evening, they had dinner at the shop before heading out.
Magnus and Soren were so wiped from playing all day that they crashed.
Soren, who was super into Isaac, insisted on being held by him even while sleeping.
So, Nora had to let Isaac carry the kids and go home with her.
Nora said, "Hand Soren over to the nanny. It's late; you should go back. Edmund needs you."
Isaac wanted to stay.
But if he kept pushing it, Nora would definitely get annoyed.
So he reluctantly handed Soren over to Olivia.
"Daddy, don't go," Soren mumbled in her sleep, her chubby little hands gripping Isaac's clothes tightly.
Olivia looked at Nora, a bit helpless. "Ms. Foster, Soren really likes this gentleman. She's even dreaming about him. If we separate them now, it might freak her out in her sleep."
Isaac held back a gentle smile and said, "Then I'll hold her for now, and once she finishes this dream, I'll put her down."
Nora couldn't bear to see Soren upset, so she agreed.
She went to get a warm towel to wipe Soren down while Isaac held her without letting go.
"Help me take off my clothes," Isaac suddenly said.
Nora looked at him suspiciously. "Why? What are you trying to do?"
