Chapter 459: Tie him up with a rope

"I am not." Nora instinctively denied.

Isaac looked at her with deep eyes, "Not what?"

Nora's expression was somewhat unnatural.

She didn't know how to explain.

Isaac gave a bitter smile, "I get it, you don't like me, I understand."

"If I don't contact you, you might even feel happy and relieved."

"How could you think of contacting me? You probably wish I would never contact you forever."

"If it weren't for Magnus and Soren clamoring to see me, you probably really wouldn't contact me forever, right?"

Seeing his disappointed look, Nora felt a sharp pang in her chest, and an overwhelming ache washed over her.

She shook her head and said tremblingly, "No, I haven't forgotten you, and I never thought of not contacting you forever. I really just lost track of time."

"I thought you were still on the cruise, and even if I sent you a message, you wouldn't receive it, so I didn't contact you."

"I want to see you. Even if the kids didn't mention you, I still want to see you!"

Isaac looked at her steadily, his eyes deep, not knowing what he was thinking.

Nora continued anxiously, "I'm telling the truth, you have to believe me!"

Isaac still didn't speak, a mysterious aura enveloping him.

Nora bit her lip, suddenly stood up, and walked to Isaac.

Then, she bent down and kissed his lips.

Isaac's pupils shrank, his whole body stiffened.

Nora's ears turned red, she closed her eyes and deepened the kiss.

Painful struggle flashed in Isaac's eyes.

His body stiffened and stayed still.

After a long time, he gently pushed Nora away and said in a deep voice, "I believe you. It's late, go to sleep. Magnus will wake up soon."

Nora's breathing was chaotic, she panted heavily, looking at him seriously.

"Answer me first, why didn't you contact me during this time? Why were you avoiding me the past two days?"

Isaac replied, "Because I felt you didn't care about me, I was sulking, so I didn't want to see you."

Nora frowned, "That's it?"

Isaac nodded, "That's it."

Nora looked into his eyes, as if trying to see through him.

Isaac touched her head, a smile appearing on his face.

"Now the misunderstanding is cleared up. I believe you were just too busy. I'm not angry anymore, and I won't avoid you in the future."

Seeing that he didn't seem to be lying, Nora didn't think much more.

"If you're unhappy, just tell me directly. Don't sulk by yourself, it made me restless these past two days!" Nora snorted lightly.

Isaac raised an eyebrow, "Didn't I learn that from you? When something happens to you, you never tell me, always hiding it from me, making me guess and investigate."

Nora embarrassedly touched her nose.

It seemed to be true.

She hoped Isaac would be honest with her, but she couldn't do it herself.

She knew it wasn't good.

But when emotions came, she couldn't control it.

She didn't want to either.

Nora said, "I'll try to change from now on, you should too, let's change together!"

Isaac smiled and nodded.

Nora also smiled.

She straightened up, grabbed his hand, "Let's go rest."

But Isaac didn't get up, his deep eyes seemed to be struggling.

"What's wrong?"

Nora looked at him puzzled.

Isaac pressed his lips tightly.

After hesitating for a moment, he shook his head, "Nothing, my sleep schedule has been messed up lately, I'm not sleepy now."

"You go to sleep first, I'll stay in the living room and look at my phone for a while, then I'll come in."

Nora stared at him for a few seconds, seeing his calm expression, not looking like something was wrong.

She nodded, "Okay, I'll go to sleep first, don't stay up too late."

Isaac smiled and nodded.

Nora yawned and went back to the bedroom.

With the problem in her heart resolved, she felt particularly good and soon fell asleep.

Isaac sat in the living room, leaning against the sofa, looking up at the ceiling, looking lost.

The next morning, when Nora got up, she found Isaac already in the kitchen making breakfast.

She walked into the kitchen and hugged him from behind.

Isaac's body stiffened suddenly, after two seconds he relaxed, flipping the eggs in the pan, he asked, "Why are you up so early? You could sleep for another half hour."

Nora replied, "I woke up naturally. Why are you up so early? You slept later than me and got up earlier, aren't you sleep-deprived?"

Isaac said, "I'm used to it, it's fine."

Nora was a little angry, muttering, "Even if you're used to it, it can't be fine."

Isaac smiled, freeing one hand to pry her hands off his waist, "Don't hug me, I can't move like this."

Nora let go of him and helped him.

While helping, she watched him.

She noticed the heavy dark circles under his eyes and his furrowed brows.

"Did you not sleep at all last night? Why are your dark circles so heavy?"

Isaac paused, "I slept, don't overthink."

Nora said firmly, "Don't try to lie to me, I can tell you're lying!"

Isaac wanted to argue.

Nora interrupted him domineeringly, "Don't try to argue!"

"Don't go to work today, stay home and rest. I'll stay home and supervise you, don't try to run!"

Not giving him a chance to refute, Nora already walked out of the kitchen to wake Magnus and Soren.

After they finished breakfast, Nora contacted the nanny to send Magnus and Soren to kindergarten, while she stayed home to watch Isaac, preventing him from escaping.

Isaac said helplessly, "I'm really fine, let me go, there's work at the company..."

Nora domineeringly pulled him into the bedroom, "You're not going anywhere today, stay in bed!"

"Let the executives handle the company's affairs, if they can't, leave it for you to handle tomorrow!"

"You were gone for a week, and the company ran just fine without you. If you take one more day off, it'll keep going like usual!"

While talking, Nora took out his phone and sent a message to Wesley: [I'm not going to the company today, handle the company's affairs.]

Wesley quickly replied: [Okay, I'll handle it well, I'll contact you if there are any problems.]

Nora showed him the phone, letting him see the conversation.

"I already told Wesley, you rest well."

Isaac was silent.

Nora thought for a moment, still not reassured.

So, she started rummaging through the room.

Isaac lay on his side on the bed, propping his head with one hand, curiously watching Nora, "What are you looking for? Need help?"

Nora ignored him, continuing to search.

After a while, she found a rope from the cabinet.

She walked to the bed with the rope, smiling, "To prevent you from running, I need to tie you up, you don't mind, right?"

Isaac was silent.
