Chapter 149 Do You Really Like Being Fickle

"Forget it, you talk nonsense. You just agreed to something and went back on it in less than a minute. You must have issues with both your intelligence and character. I don't want you to be my dad anymore!" Soren sighed and said.

Isaac remained silent, thinking, 'Who really has the intelligence problem here?'

He couldn't be bothered to argue with a little kid and didn't refute her words.

"Sir, I'm hungry. Can you take me to get something to eat?" Soren said, rubbing her round little belly.

Isaac refused, "No, I can't take you out of here. Otherwise, your mom will worry if she comes back and can't find you."

Soren pouted unhappily.

Isaac looked around and noticed that Nora wasn't in the shop.

So he said, "What do you want to eat? I'll buy it for you. Stay in the shop, and don't run around."

Soren's eyes lit up.

But soon, she furrowed and looked troubled. "Since it's my first day here, I don't know what's available to eat."

Isaac said, "Then I'll just buy something. Stay put."

"Okay, thank you, Sir!" Soren said sweetly.

Isaac walked out of the art studio to buy her some food.

He found it amusing himself. He, who was often called cold-hearted, was actually buying food for a little girl he didn't even know!

The key point was he didn't mind it and was even happy to do it.

'If Nora hadn't aborted my child back then, my kid would be about this age now, right? Would my child be this cute, too?' Issac pondered.

Isaac's eyes darkened, and his mood became irritable. About half an hour later, Isaac returned to the shop with a bunch of food.

Soren was still obediently staying in the shop and hadn't run outside.

She was still sitting on the table, excitedly playing with the paint.

Originally, she only had paint on her hands and face, but now her whole body was covered in paint.

"I buy the food. Help yourself," Isaac said, placing the food on the table.

Soren immediately crawled over happily.

"Go clean yourself up before eating," Isaac reminded her.

Soren said in a childish voice, "I don't know where to wash, and I can't do it myself."

She looked at Isaac for help.

Isaac said coldly, "Don't look at me. I can't help you."

He didn't know how to take care of kids.

Moreover, thinking about his child made Isaac feel very irritable and impatient with Soren.

"I'm leaving. Wait for your mom to come back. Don't run around," Isaac instructed, then turned and walked out.

At this moment, Nora was already near the shop entrance, holding Magnus and walking with Mortimer.

As Isaac pushed the door open to leave, Mortimer saw him first.

Mortimer darkened his eyes and immediately turned his back, using his body to shield Nora and little Magnus.

"Why are you..." Nora was stunned.

"Isaac is here," Mortimer interrupted Nora in a low voice.

Nora's face instantly changed. She tightened her hold on Magnus, a wave of panic surging in her heart.

'Why is Isaac here? If he saw the child, he would be suspicious. If Isaac found out I have given birth to two children, would he abuse the children to get back at me as he had said before?'  Nora pondered.

The more Nora thought about it, the more panicked she became.

"Give Magnus to me. I'll take him away first. Isaac can't see Magnus," Nora said.

Mortimer took Magnus from Nora's arms.

Then, he quickly walked away without looking back.

At this moment, when seeing Nora, Isaac stepped forward and walked towards her.

"Mortimer still has the nerve to come find you?" Isaac looked in the direction Mortimer had left, his face dark.

He noticed Mortimer seemed to be holding a child.

But since it was from the back, he could only see two small, thin legs and couldn't see the child's face.

Isaac frowned deeply and thought, 'Why would Mortimer be holding a child?'

But he didn't think too much about it.

'It could be a relative's child.'

Isaac was more concerned about whether Nora had forgiven Mortimer.

"Where do you go with him?" Isaac asked in a deep voice.

Nora suppressed her inner panic and replied perfunctorily, "We just have a coffee and a chat in the neighborhood."

Isaac darkened his face further. "Do you still go out for coffee and chat with him? Have you forgotten he posted those photos that ruined your reputation?"

Nora said, "Mortimer says it isn't him who posts them. It is someone around him."

Isaac sneered. "Do you believe that?"

Nora lowered her eyes and nodded. "I believe him. He's always been good to me. I trust he wouldn't harm me."

Isaac turned dark, a cold aura enveloping him. "I can't believe it. You love him so deeply that even with solid evidence, you believe whatever he says. You've never trusted me like that."

Nora clenched her heart tightly. "I..."

Nora instinctively wanted to explain.

But thinking about her limited time left, she suppressed the urge.

There was no need to maintain her image in front of Isaac anymore. Let him misunderstand her. The more he hated her, the better.

The more Isaac hated her, the further he would stay away from her, preventing him from discovering the existence of the two children.

Nora took a deep breath and said seriously, "You only find out that the photos are sent from the Radcliffe family's address, not from Mortimer's phone. That doesn't prove it is Mortimer who sends them."

"The Radcliffe family is huge. It's not just Mortimer. Even if the photos were sent from Mortimer's phone, I believe someone stole his phone to do it. I've known Mortimer for so many years. He's always been helping me, caring for me, and has never harmed me. I believe he won't harm me in the future either," Nora added.

Isaac's eyes burned with anger, veins bulging on his forehead. "So, all along, has Mortimer been more important to you than me and more trustworthy than me?" Isaac asked through gritted teeth.

Nora bit her lip and said ruthlessly, "At least for now, yes."

Isaac turned livid with rage. "Nora, you're really despicable! You have a boyfriend and still flirt with Mortimer. Are you really that fickle?"

Nora looked up, mocking him, "Don't forget that we're already divorced. Even if I am promiscuous, it's none of your business."

"Are you so angry because you want me to flirt with you too? Too bad I'm not interested in men who already have women. It would help if you went back to your Kalista," Nora said.

Isaac turned as dark as the abyss, his eyes coldly fixed on Nora.

'Nora doesn't even deny her relationship with Mortimer. Does she really want to be with Mortimer? She can dream on!' Isaac thought.

Isaac gritted his teeth and said, "I can't control you finding other men, but if you want to be with Mortimer, I will intervene! As long as I'm alive, you can forget about being with Mortimer. If you get together with him, I won't let you off. Don't think that just because his grandfather is the king of Drakonia, I'll be afraid of him!"
