Chapter 265 Accidentally Kissed Him

The construction crew was lightning fast.

In just a week, they had the neighboring store looking brand new.

Edmund went all out, hiring a bunch of preschool teachers and nannies, and even got some bodyguards to ensure their safety.

Fearing Nora might misunderstand, he explained, "I'm doing this to make things easier for you. You're already swamped, and taking care of the kids on top of that would be too much. I care about you and don't want you to be so worn out. If something happens to you again, I don't think I could handle it. I might not make it!"

Nora quickly replied, "Don't say stuff like that. You'll definitely stay healthy!"

Edmund chuckled. "As long as you and Isaac are doing well, I'm happy. And a positive mood can contribute to a longer life!"

Nora suddenly felt a lot of pressure.

The last time she had an incident, Edmund was a wreck. She feared if something happened again, he might not make it.

Even though she hadn't died from stomach cancer within the three-month period, her cancer wasn't cured, and she could still have an accident at any time.

What would Edmund do then?

During this time, Edmund didn't just spoil Magnus and Soren.

Even Isaac's attitude towards them had gotten a lot better, like when he first met them.

Magnus and Soren were thrilled. Magnus even started talking more.

"I checked last night, and there's a parent-child interaction park nearby. Let's take the kids there this weekend," Isaac suggested.

Nora asked, surprised, "Parent-child interaction park? What's in there?"

Isaac said, "There are tons of activities like pottery, archery, horseback riding, all stuff parents can do with their kids. If there are a lot of families on weekends, there are also some competitions, which are great for developing kids' social and hands-on skills."

Nora was intrigued.

Magnus and Soren's social circle was pretty limited.

Even though they had tons of toys, it was always just the two of them, or a bunch of adults around them, which could get boring. They needed friends their own age.

"But Magnus and Soren always wear masks. Won't that seem weird?"

Isaac laughed. "It won't happen, lots of kids go out dressed as Spider-Man or Batman, with their whole faces covered. It's okay to wear masks."

Nora said, "Alright, let's take them this weekend!"

Isaac's eyes sparkled with a smile.

On the weekend, Nora and Isaac took Magnus and Soren out early in the morning.

The parent-child park was in the suburbs because it needed a lot of space.

Besides the activities Isaac mentioned, there were tons of animals to see in the park.

They walked around, checked out the animals for a bit, and then hit up the amusement facilities.

Magnus was super into archery.

After putting on the protective gear, there was supposed to be a coach to teach him how to play.

But Magnus was shy, and when strangers got close, he got nervous and clammed up.

"I can't teach your kid," the coach said, frustrated.

Isaac said, "I'll do that."

He grabbed a small bow and arrow, showing Magnus how to hold the bow and arrow, and then how to aim.

"Close one eye, aim at the bullseye, and make sure the arrowhead and the bullseye are in a straight line. Give it a shot."

Magnus followed along seriously.

He let an arrow fly.

It hit the target.

"Magnus, you're amazing! You nailed it on your first try!" Nora cheered.

Even though it wasn't a bullseye, hitting the outer ring was still pretty impressive!

Magnus's eyes lit up with joy, and he grabbed another arrow to take aim.

"Uncle Isaac, I want to learn too!" Soren piped up.

Isaac told Magnus to be careful and then turned to teach Soren.

Soren wasn't as strong or as skilled as Magnus, so her arrow didn't even make it to the target.

She pouted in frustration.

"It's okay, we'll practice with a closer target." Isaac moved the target closer and spent some time teaching her.

"Wow, I hit it!" Soren exclaimed, jumping up and down with excitement.

"Soren, you're awesome!" Nora praised her.

Soren was thrilled and wanted to compete with Magnus.

Seeing Magnus and Soren playing together, Isaac asked the coach to keep an eye on them to make sure they didn't get hurt.

Then he walked over to Nora with a smile. "Wanna give it a shot?"

Nora said, "I don't know how."

Isaac raised an eyebrow. "I can teach you."

So, with Isaac's encouragement, Nora went with him to the adult area, put on some protective gear, and picked up a bow and arrow.

Isaac stood behind her, his hands guiding hers in a half-embrace.

Nora could feel her back occasionally pressing against his firm chest.

His fresh scent surrounded her, making her heart race and her mind go fuzzy.

"What are you thinking about? Focus," Isaac's deep, amused voice whispered in her ear, snapping Nora back to reality and making her blush.

Isaac chuckled and teased, "Why are you blushing? If someone saw, they'd think I was up to something~"

Nora gritted her teeth and said, "Move away from me!"

Isaac said, "I'm teaching you. If I move away, you might get hurt. Besides, this is a normal distance. Look at that couple over there, now that's close."

Nora glanced in the direction he pointed and saw a couple nearby, practically glued together in a romantic embrace.

She quickly looked away, too embarrassed to keep looking.

"Focus on learning, don't think about that stuff. They're so close and not even blushing," Isaac said in a low voice.

Nora was so embarrassed that she wanted to disappear.

Was he saying her thoughts were inappropriate?

Nora took a deep breath, pushed the messy thoughts out of her mind, and focused on aiming at the bullseye.

"Good, this angle is perfect. Slowly draw the bow... and release!" Isaac instructed.

Bullseye!

Nora was thrilled. She actually hit the bullseye!

She turned her head with a proud smile and said, "How about that? I'm pretty good..."

Because they were so close, when she turned her head, her lips brushed against Isaac's, and her words stopped abruptly.

Nora looked at him in shock, her mind blank.

It took her a few seconds to process what happened, and she quickly stepped back.

"Why did you lower your head?" Nora blushed, glaring at him.

Given their height, even if they were close, she would only kiss Isaac's neck or chin, not his lips.

It was Isaac lowering his head that made her end up kissing his lips!
