Chapter 387 The Child Doesn't Side with Her
Nora's eyes were red, and she was trembling violently with anger.
At this moment, she deeply regretted not sending Magnus and Soren away earlier.
Why did she believe that Isaac losing Soren was an accident and not on purpose?

Isaac felt a crushing pain in his heart as he listened to Nora's heartless words.
Did Nora really think he intentionally harmed Magnus and Soren?
Magnus and Soren were his children; how could he intentionally harm them?
If he could, he would rather bear the pain for them.
But at this moment, Nora couldn't hear anything he said.
She hated him. She denied all the promises he had made, including his character.
No matter what he said now, she would only think he was making excuses, creating a new lie to deceive her.
Isaac felt a deep sense of defeat.
He stood up with a sad expression and spoke in a low voice, "Alright, I'll leave now."
Since Nora didn't want him anywhere near Magnus and Soren, he would comply and not push her buttons any further.

Soren noticed Isaac was about to leave and immediately grabbed his pant leg, looking up at him with eyes full of confusion.

"Soren, stay away from him. He will only bring you misfortune. You are not allowed to go near him anymore!"
Soren tilted her head, her face full of confusion.
She couldn't hear and didn't know what Nora was saying.
But looking at Nora's expression, she knew that Mommy and Daddy were fighting, and Mommy wouldn't let her play with Daddy.
Soren grabbed Nora's hand, gently shaking it and pouting silently, as if telling her she wanted to play with Isaac.
Isaac voiced, "Be careful. Kids are delicate. Yanking her like that could easily dislocate her arm."
Nora sneered, "Cut the act. I know better than you how to take care of my child. Now get out, right now!"
Isaac didn't say anything more and turned to leave.
Soren panicked when she saw Isaac was about to go.
She forcefully shook off Nora's hand, quickly ran over with her short legs, and hugged Isaac's leg tightly.
Nora's face changed, "Soren, what are you doing? He is a bad person. He will harm you. Come back here, don't go near him!"
She said this while striding over.
Soren, seeing Nora coming to pull her, quickly hid on the other side of Isaac, stubbornly pouting.
"Want Daddy," Soren vocied, her tone strange as she spoke.
She hadn't spoken for a while, and now her speech sounded even stranger, like a child just learning to talk, with uneven tones.
Nora clenched her fists tightly, her face dark and terrifying.
Isaac was a bad person who had made her deaf. Why did Soren still want to play with him?
Nora took a deep breath, ignoring Soren's protest. She reached out again, grabbing Soren's wrist, trying to pull her to her side.
But Soren's small hands held onto Isaac's leg tightly, refusing to let go.
Nora tried to use a bit more force to pull Soren over.
But Soren seemed determined, her fingers turning white from gripping so hard, unwilling to let go.
Nora was worried that if she kept pulling too hard, she might break Soren's fingers, so she loosened her grip.
"Soren, come with Mommy. Mommy and Mortimer will play with you, okay? Let's stay away from the bad guy. He will harm you." Nora softened her voice, speaking to Soren word by word.
Soren struggled to say, "Want Daddy."
The same words.
She was very stubborn and persistent.
Nora's face instantly darkened, trembling with anger.
Isaac uttered, "Soren might not have seen me for a while and she probably wants me to stay with her. How about I stay and play with her?"
"If you don't trust me, you can watch from the side. If you see me trying to harm Soren, you can can step in right away."
Nora clenched her fists, gritting her teeth, "When you hurt Magnus, I was also there. Did you give me a chance to stop you?"
Isaac's eyes darkened, and he replied, guilt evident in his voice, "I'm sorry, I didn't do it on purpose."
Soren held onto Isaac, not letting him go, and Nora held onto Soren, refusing to let go. The three of them were at a stalemate.
Mortimer spoke up, "Nora, since Soren wants Isaac to play with her, let Isaac stay."
"I believe Isaac wouldn't intentionally harm Soren. Magnus was hurt by him, but I believe it was an accident."
"If you are really worried, I an stick around and watch with you. If we see Isaac doing anything dangerous to Soren, I will help you stop him. How about that?"
Nora gritted her teeth, glaring angrily at Isaac.
How did he manage to hurt Soren and still make her like him so much?
