Chapter 227 Nora Was Forcibly Taken Away

Mortimer's eyes narrowed.

"Mr. Porter?"

The fact that King Cappadocia's personal guard called Isaac "Mr. Porter" meant the king was backing him.

How did Isaac manage to win over King Cappadocia?

Mortimer's face twisted with rage as he glared at Isaac.

But the Royal Guard wasn't listening to him anymore, and he had no way to fight Isaac. He shot Isaac a fierce look before storming off backstage.

Even if the guards wouldn't listen to him, he was determined to take Nora away. But he was too late.

When Nora headed backstage, Isaac's people had already taken her.

"Who are you? Where are you taking me?" Nora had planned to quietly slip out through the hotel's back door. But as soon as she stepped out, she was surrounded by a group of bodyguards.

The bodyguards shoved her into a car.

Then the car sped through the night, quickly leaving the hotel behind.

Even though the bodyguards hadn't been rough with her, she still felt anxious and uneasy.

"Mrs. Porter, don't be afraid. We won't harm you," one of the bodyguards said respectfully.

Nora said, "I don't know you, and I'm not the Mrs. Porter you're talking about. You've got the wrong person!"

The bodyguard replied, "We haven't made a mistake. You are Mrs. Porter, Mr. Porter's wife."

Nora clenched her fists tightly and angrily retorted, "I'm not! I'm not even married yet!"

The bodyguard stayed silent.

Nora threatened, "Let me go now! My fiancé is Mortimer. Do you know who Mortimer is? He's the prince of Drakonia. If you kidnap me, he won't let you off! If you let me go, I can plead for you and make sure he doesn't give you a hard time!"

But the bodyguards showed no intention of letting her go.

An hour later, the car stopped at a private airstrip.

Nora was dragged out of the car by the bodyguards.

"Where are you taking me?" Nora questioned again.

The bodyguard made a gesture of invitation and said, "Mrs. Porter, please board the plane. We're taking you home."

Nora's face twisted with anger. "Wherever Mortimer is, that's where my home is. If you really want to take me home, take me to see Mortimer!"

The bodyguard said, "Then please don't be mad, Mrs. Porter."

With that, several female bodyguards stepped forward and forcibly took her onto the plane.

"Let go of me! Kidnapping! Help! Save me!" Nora struggled and shouted, but it was no use.

She had just recovered from a serious illness and was physically weak. The bodyguards were well-trained; she was no match for them.

In the end, she was forcibly taken onto the plane. Once she was on board, the plane quickly took off.

Nora finally stopped struggling, knowing it was pointless.

Nora looked out at the night sky, feeling depressed.

These people were unreasonable. They had mistaken her for someone else and forcibly took her away.

The bodyguards brought her a ton of food, but Nora was stubborn and didn't touch any of it.

The plane flew for over twenty hours before finally landing.

Nora was once again dragged off the plane. As soon as she got off, she could tell she wasn't in Drakonia anymore.

The temperature and air here were totally different.

Judging by the writing on the buildings around her, she had been brought back to Horizonia.

A convoy of cars was already waiting outside the airport.

Then Nora was shoved into a car again.

The convoy eventually stopped in front of a luxurious mansion that looked like a palace.

"Mrs. Porter, we're home. Please get out of the car," a bodyguard said, opening the door and respectfully inviting her out.

Nora got out with a sullen face. She then noticed that at the mansion's entrance, a dozen maids and over a hundred bodyguards were lined up in two neat rows.

As soon as she got out of the car, they all shouted in unison, "Welcome home, Mrs. Porter!"

Nora angrily said, "Don't call me Mrs. Porter. I'm not Mrs. Porter!"

The crowd replied, "Mr. Porter said you will always be Mrs. Porter!"

Nora was furious.

That man was insane! He had mistaken her for someone else and forcibly brought her back, disregarding the law!

"Mrs. Porter, you must be tired after a twenty-hour flight. Please go inside and rest," one of the maids said.

Since Nora had been brought here, she could only accept their arrangements.

"Escorted" by bodyguards, she was led by two maids to a master bedroom on the third floor of the mansion.

The maids respectfully said, "Mrs. Porter, this is your room. We've prepared a hot bath for you. Please go in and relax. The kitchen is preparing a meal for you. Once you're done with your bath, you can go down to eat."

Nora entered the room. She immediately turned around and locked the door.

The maids and bodyguards didn't knock or try to force the door open.

Nora felt a bit relieved, then she looked around the room. A strange sense of familiarity washed over her. But she quickly shook her head, trying to stop herself from overthinking. Then she surveyed the room and walked to the window to look outside.

Every three feet, there was a bodyguard standing.

There was no way she could escape, not even a bird could fly out.

Feeling frustrated, Nora drew the curtains and walked to the bed, collapsing onto it. She was indeed very tired and wanted to take a hot bath to relax. But she was afraid of being watched.

Nora lay on the bed, her mind racing with thoughts, and eventually fell asleep.

She didn't know how long she had slept when she woke up groggily.

As soon as she opened her eyes, she saw a dark figure sitting quietly by the bed.

The room was dark, and she could only see a tall shadow, unable to make out who it was.

Nora was startled and grabbed a pillow, throwing it with all her might.

"Ghost!" she shouted.
