Chapter 490 Suspecting He Has a Lover Outside
Isaac smiled bitterly, "Yeah, can't God just let the kids grow up smoothly and safely?"
Nora felt a spark of agreement and her indignation grew, "If there's trouble, let it fall on us adults. What's the point of troubling Magnus and Soren?"
"This God really knows how to stir things up—definitely deserves a good telling-off!"
Isaac sighed, "Yeah, God really isn't doing anyone any favors."
Nora was very happy because Isaac was very cooperative with her tonight.
He didn't try to persuade her to think positively, didn't reason with her, but instead cursed along with her.
Nora, in her happiness, ordered two more cans of beer and continued drinking with Isaac.
After complaining, Nora began to imagine a beautiful future.
"Third time's the charm, Magnus has already faced two hardships, there won't be a third time!"
"He will get through this, and then he will grow up smoothly and healthily!"
Isaac nodded in agreement, "Yes, they won't face any more hardships in the future, this is the last time."
Nora raised her beer bottle, "Come on, to our beautiful future, cheers!"
Isaac's eyes darkened a bit.
But he quickly collected himself and clinked glasses with her with a smile.
They ate until one in the morning, then walked back home hand in hand.
Nora was in a very good mood.
When they got home, to avoid waking Magnus and Soren, Nora pulled Isaac to the next room to sleep.
The next day, Nora was woken up.
"Mommy, why did you and Daddy come to sleep here?"
Soren's sweet childlike voice sounded in her ear.
Nora groggily opened her eyes and found herself lying in Isaac's arms, his hands holding her tightly, the two of them hugging closely.
At the bedside, Soren, with a head of messy hair, looked at her unhappily.
Magnus was also standing by, looking a bit angry.
Nora hurriedly pried Isaac's hands off and tried to sit up.
Isaac, still not fully awake, instinctively pulled her back into his arms, holding her even tighter.
"Honey, don't go, let me hold you a bit longer."
Isaac's deep, husky voice made Nora's face uncontrollably blush.
Soren tilted her head, raised her little hand to scratch her messy hair, and said in a sweet childlike voice, "Daddy's voice sounds so strange, like a pervert."
Nora couldn't help but laugh.
Suppressing her laughter, she pinched Isaac's chest muscle hard, "Wake up, Magnus and Soren are here to wake us up."
Isaac woke up from the pain.
But he clearly hadn't had enough sleep, his brows furrowed as he opened his eyes, his face full of displeasure.
"Daddy, what bad thing did you do last night? You used to get up so early, but today you slept so long." Soren asked curiously.
Hearing Soren's voice, Isaac instantly became fully awake.
The displeasure on his face disappeared instantly. Holding Nora, he sat up, looked at Magnus and Soren by the bed.
He said in a deep voice, "Have you washed up? Go wash up first, I'll make breakfast for you."
Soren nodded obediently, "Okay. Daddy, hurry up, or we'll be late."
She and Magnus walked out of the bedroom hand in hand.
Isaac, holding Nora, chuckled, "I haven't been resting well lately, and last night I slept so soundly holding you that I couldn't wake up at the usual time."
Nora sighed lightly, "Don't get too excited, not resting well every day is bad for your health. Just make sure you don't get sick once Magnus gets better."
Isaac had previously explained that he was too excited to sleep after learning that Magnus could be cured.
So Nora thought that Isaac hadn't been resting well lately because of his excitement.
Isaac nodded.
Isaac went to make breakfast, while Nora went back to her room to freshen up.
Breakfast was simple, Isaac finished it in ten minutes.
Isaac made four servings of spaghetti with tomato sauce and heated four cups of milk.
The family sat together for breakfast.
After that, Isaac took Soren to school and then went to the company.
Magnus stayed at home.
He still had nosebleeds, making it inconvenient for him to go to kindergarten.
Because Magnus kept having nosebleeds, Nora worried that he might become anemic and affect his health.
Besides giving him blood supplements every day, she took Magnus to the hospital for check-ups every two days.
If Magnus's anemia reached a level that affected his health, he would receive blood transfusions.
After work, Isaac went back to the villa.
But he wasn't there for Amara, he went back to see Magnus.
Seeing Isaac return home, Amara greeted him with joy.
"Isaac, you're finally back. I had the kitchen prepare dinner, waiting for you to eat together. I'll have them bring the food to the table now."
She spoke with shyness and joy, chattering on.
Isaac didn't say anything, just walked forward with big strides.
Amara followed him.
Seeing him go upstairs, she followed behind.
As she chased after him, she asked, "Isaac, I heard you didn't come back last night after going out. Where did you spend the night?"
She already considered herself Isaac's wife, and Isaac as her husband.
As her husband, he didn't come home at night, so she naturally had to ask.
If he had a mistress, she might have been at risk of losing her position as his wife.
Isaac stopped in his tracks, prompting Amara to quickly stop as well.
Isaac turned to look at her coldly, "I warned you yesterday, don't go to the third floor. Go down."
Amara's mouth stiffened.
Only then did she realize that she had unknowingly followed Isaac up the stairs to the third floor.
She bit her lip in grievance.
She was already his, and this was essentially her home too. Yet, she couldn't even go to the third floor in her own home. It was too frustrating.
But she didn't dare to upset Isaac, so she silently walked down.
"Sorry, I just wanted to care for you, I didn't notice."
Isaac didn't listen to her finish and continued walking up.
Amara's voice abruptly stopped.
Isaac had dinner with Magnus, then spent over an hour with him before preparing to go to Nora's place.
Amara followed him to the door, asking in grievance, "Isaac, are you going out again tonight? You don't spend much time with me, it makes me very sad."
Isaac said coldly, "I have something to do."
He had no intention of comforting Amara or explaining.
After saying this, Isaac left.
Amara watched the car speed away, clenching her fists tightly.
She took a deep breath, controlling her emotions.
She couldn't make a scene, she had to leave a good impression on Isaac.
Maybe Isaac was just busy with work.
But for a whole week, Isaac did the same thing every day.
He only came over for two or three hours after work, and it was all to spend time with Magnus.
Then he would leave and not come back for the whole night.
Amara became very alert.
Could it be that Isaac had a mistress outside?
Was he going to be with that mistress after leaving at night?
