Chapter 382 Is She Jealous?
Isaac's face was grim, and he was surrounded by an extremely cold aura.
He strode into the yard, came to the easel, and his icy gaze fell on the painting.
The painting depicted a family of four, looking very warm and happy, with smiles on everyone's faces.
But he had just heard clearly, Magnus said the adult male in the painting was Mortimer, not him!
Magnus actually painted Mortimer into the family portrait, instead of him, his real father!
Was Magnus trying to get Nora and Mortimer together, to recognize Mortimer as his father?
Isaac's gaze fell on Magnus, his eyes filled with coldness, "Who did you say is in this painting?"
Magnus was so frightened by his terrifying aura that he trembled all over, his eyes red as he hid behind Mortimer.
"Uncle Mortimer, I'm scared."
"Don't be afraid, I'm here, I'll protect you, I won't let anyone hurt you." Mortimer patted Magnus's head, gently reassuring him.
Magnus was still trembling, his face full of obvious fear.
Isaac's face grew even darker.
Magnus was actually afraid of him!
And he sought Mortimer's protection!
Isaac was furious, raising his fist angrily and swinging it towards Mortimer's face.
Mortimer took two steps back, avoiding Isaac's fist.
Isaac continued to swing his fists, chasing after Mortimer to hit him.
"Don't hit Uncle Mortimer, anyone who hits Uncle Mortimer is a bad guy, I hate you!"
Magnus cried out anxiously, his voice full of anger.
Although he liked Isaac too, he liked Mortimer more.
Isaac's expression turned extremely grim, and his attacks became even more ruthless.
"Isaac, stop it!"
Nora finally came to her senses and hurriedly rushed up to stop Isaac.
She grabbed Isaac's hand forcefully, not letting him continue to hit Mortimer.
Although Mortimer had been dodging, Isaac's attacks were too fierce, and his face already had wounds, looking disheveled.
"Let go!" Isaac growled angrily.
Nora held onto him tightly, "Stop it!"
"Can't you stop being so violent every time? Every time you see Mortimer, you want to hit him, even though he hasn't done anything to you. Can you be reasonable and stop being so annoying?"
Isaac's chest heaved violently with anger.
She was defending Mortimer and calling him annoying?
He had warned Mortimer countless times not to appear in front of him, not to get close to Nora.
But Mortimer kept coming to pester Nora, was it wrong for him to hit him?
Mortimer, this scheming guy, deserved a good beating!
Isaac forcefully pushed Nora away and continued to swing his fists at Mortimer.
He landed a heavy punch on Mortimer's face.
Mortimer staggered back a few steps, letting out a painful groan from his nose.
Nora raised her hand and slapped Isaac hard across the face.
Isaac froze, looking at Nora in disbelief.
"You hit me?" he questioned in disbelief.
Nora said angrily, "Can you stop going crazy? If you can't stop hitting people, then stay away from my children, I don't want you to set a bad example for them!"
Magnus's sobs hadn't stopped, and hearing them made her heart ache, making her even more resentful towards Isaac.
Isaac's face was ashen, and he clenched his fists tightly.
Mortimer was about to take his wife and children away, and he couldn't even teach him a lesson?
Mortimer wiped the blood from his mouth and said to Nora, "Nora, don't blame Isaac. Maybe Isaac is just in a bad mood, it's good to let him vent, otherwise, it might harm his health."
Nora's face was stern, "Even if he's in a bad mood, he can't hit you! You're too kind, every time he sees you, he wants to hit you, and you always speak up for him. The more you do this, the more he'll take advantage!"
Mortimer smiled, "It's okay, I'm strong, I can take it."
"And Isaac didn't really hit hard, see, I'm still fine, right?"
"Isaac is kind-hearted, he just has too much pressure and loses control of his emotions easily, don't think too badly of him."
Isaac couldn't stand it anymore and growled, "Shut up, stop pretending to be a good person, I hit you on purpose, I wish I could beat you to death!"
Mortimer lowered his eyes, looking sad, as if he was hurt by Isaac's words.
"Isaac, have you had enough?" Nora said angrily, "Mortimer is being generous and not holding it against you, and you're still so arrogant, don't go too far!"
Isaac gritted his teeth, "He's saying this on purpose, pretending to be generous to win your favor, don't fall for it!"
Nora said, "How many times have you hit him over the years? Has he ever blamed you? If he was pretending, could he keep it up for so many years?"
"Mortimer is a good person, he doesn't hold grudges against you, and you still slander his character, you're really despicable!"
Mortimer remained silent.
Nora looked at Mortimer and apologized, "I'm sorry, you got hurt because of me again. You should go back for now, come back another time."
Mortimer hesitated for a moment, but eventually nodded.
This was Isaac's territory, and now that Isaac was here, he wouldn't let him stay.
Isaac asked harshly, "I forgot to ask, why are you here?"
Nora answered for him, "I asked him to come."
Isaac's pupils shrank, looking at Nora in disbelief.
"You asked him to come to keep you company?"
Nora lowered her eyes and didn't answer.
Mortimer's eyes flickered.
He originally wanted to explain, but seeing Nora not saying anything, he didn't explain either.
Isaac was furious, "Nora, have you forgotten? We are a couple, you called another man to keep you company behind my back, what do you mean?"
Calling another man to his territory to keep her company, she was completely disregarding him and not considering his feelings at all!
The more Isaac thought about it, the angrier he got, his eyes bloodshot, and his fists clenched tightly.
Facing Isaac's questioning, Nora found it amusing.
She looked up, meeting his gaze with sarcasm, "Before you get mad at me, did you forget that you also go out and date other women?"
Isaac's breath hitched, his eyes flickering with complex emotions, "So, you called him over on purpose to get back at me?"
Thinking this way, he suddenly wasn't so angry.
She was jealous and called Mortimer over, which meant she still cared about him.
Nora denied it, "Don't flatter yourself, I'm not that petty. Magnus missed him, so I asked him to come to keep Magnus company."
"Besides, he and I are good friends, we haven't seen each other for a while, I wanted to catch up with him, isn't that normal?"
Isaac's face instantly darkened again.
He couldn't help but glare at Magnus.
Did this kid know who his real father was?
Magnus actually helped him find a rival, wait and see how he would deal with this brat in the future!
Magnus was so scared that he trembled, hiding behind Nora in fear.
