Chapter 556 Reuniting with the Third Child

After making the decision, Isaac immediately went to discuss with Nora about moving Barrett and Soren to his villa.

The reason given was that Edmund was getting old, and seeing Magnus fall ill every day might affect his health.

Nora was actually worried about this issue too. Even if Isaac hadn't suggested moving out of The Porter Manor, she wouldn't have stayed there with the children for long.

So the next day, they left The Porter Manor with Barrett and Soren.

Nora walked into the house holding a child in each hand, but when she reached the living room, she was stunned.

She stared in shock at the child sitting on the sofa, her eyes filled with astonishment.

She glanced at the child on the sofa and then looked down at the little boy holding her left hand.

They had identical faces, even their skin color and body shape were almost the same.

Nora said in shock, "What on earth is going on? Why are there two Magnuses? Am I having vision problems, or is there something wrong with my mind?"

Nora let go of Barrett and Soren's hands, rubbed her eyes vigorously, and looked again. There were still two identical Magnuses.

"Magnus, how did you get over there?" Soren blinked her big eyes curiously, then said, "No, Magnus is still here, there's just another Magnus."

"Magnus, how did you become two? Is this the Clone Technique? Magnus, you're amazing! Teach me how you did it, I want to clone myself to go to school for me!" Soren jumped up and down excitedly.

Barrett remained silent, thinking Soren didn't seem very smart.

Soren's shouting brought Nora back to her senses.

She felt her heart start to race uncontrollably, her body trembling, and she couldn't describe her feelings.

When she saw the child on the sofa who looked exactly like Magnus, she had a strange feeling that this child resembled the old Magnus more.

The Magnus who had been with her these past few months had changed a lot in personality, and even his eyes had changed a bit.

But because Magnus's face was exactly the same as before, she had only suspected at first, but after confirming he wasn't an imposter, she didn't doubt anymore, thinking he was just traumatized.

Now, with another Magnus suddenly appearing, the more she looked, the more she felt that the child sitting on the sofa was the Magnus she had watched grow up.

Without a comparison, it was easy to find various reasons to explain why Magnus had changed.

But now, with a comparison, a thought suddenly popped into her mind, 'maybe the one beside her was a fake Magnus, which was why his personality had changed so much. But why were there two Magnuses?'

Nora felt very confused and couldn't figure it out at all.

She turned to Isaac and asked urgently, "Isaac, what's going on? Why is there someone in your house who looks exactly like Magnus?"

Soren answered quickly, "Mommy, I know! It's the Clone Technique. Magnus knows the Clone Technique. In the cartoons, people can clone hundreds of themselves!"

Nora looked down at Soren, speechless for a moment.

Isaac chuckled softly and affectionately ruffled Soren's hair.

He looked at Nora and said seriously, "That is the real Magnus."

Nora's heart skipped a beat.

Was the Magnus beside her really a fake?

Nora instinctively looked at the boy next to her, still filled with confusion. "You say that is Magnus, then who is he?"

Isaac said, "He is Barrett."

Nora was even more puzzled, "Barrett? Why does he look exactly like Magnus? Is he a child you had with another woman?"

Magnus resembled Isaac more, so if Isaac had a child with another woman, it was possible that the child would look exactly like Magnus.

Isaac laughed, "What nonsense are you talking about? How could I have a child with another woman? Even if I did, it wouldn't look exactly like Magnus."

Nora asked, "Then what is going on?"

Isaac asked her seriously, "How many children did you give birth to back then? Don't you remember?"

Nora's heart skipped another beat.

After Isaac's words, she suddenly thought of something, her face turned pale, her hands and feet feeling cold.

After a long while, she lowered her eyes and murmured, "So Mortimer had been deceiving me from so early on, plotting against me from the very beginning."

"Back then, I was pregnant with triplets, but I had complications during childbirth. After giving birth, I was in a coma for a long time. When I woke up, Mortimer and the doctor told me that one of the children had died at birth, and only two survived."

"Mortimer said I had been in a coma for too long, and the dead baby couldn't be kept for that long, so he took care of it for me."

"He told me at the time that the one who died was a girl."

So she never thought that these two identical Magnuses were both her children.

Nora was deeply shocked.

She knew Mortimer had plotted against her, but she didn't expect that he had started planning everything so early, even stealing one of her children to use against her and Isaac years later.

Nora bit her lip, looked up at Isaac, and asked in a trembling voice, "Are you sure they are both my children?"

Isaac nodded and said with certainty, "Yes, I did a paternity test. They are both our biological children."

Nora's tears instantly welled up.

She looked at Magnus on the sofa, then at Barrett beside her, feeling both joy and immense pain.

She crouched down and hugged Barrett, trembling, "I'm sorry, Barrett. It's my fault for not realizing you were still alive all these years, for not being there to watch you grow up. I'm so sorry."

Now she finally understood why Barrett, when pretending to be Magnus, often inexplicably lost his temper and said she didn't deserve to be his mother.

Maybe when he saw her being good to him, he thought she was being good to Magnus, not to him, which made him angry.

Barrett's initial hostility towards Soren, even bullying her, was probably out of jealousy that Soren could grow up by her side and receive her love.

Her poor Barrett, who had lacked parental love since childhood, was now seriously ill.

The more Nora thought about it, the more heartbroken she felt, crying uncontrollably.

At that moment, Barrett also looked deeply shocked. He hugged Nora and murmured, "Mommy, didn't you abandon me because you didn't want me back then?"

Mortimer had clearly told him so.
