Chapter 89 Physical Contact
"Tell me."
Isaac urged impatiently.
Harold Whitaker didn't play coy and said, "You find an excuse to go on a business trip and use Steve's identity to stay by Nora's side."
Isaac said, "I can't be away on a business trip for several months, can I?"
"Um..." Harold Whitaker hesitated and said, "That is indeed a problem."
He thought about it seriously for a while and proposed, "How about faking a car accident and using that as an excuse to stay in the hospital?"
Isaac's face darkened, "What kind of terrible idea is that?"
Helplessly, Harold Whitaker said, "Although it may not be a good idea, there doesn't seem to be any other way."
"You can either send Nora back home by herself, leaving you and Steve to handle it separately."
"Or you can only accept my proposal."
Isaac frowned.
After careful consideration, it seemed like there really wasn't a better solution.
Having Nora go back was definitely not an option.
As soon as Nora returned, the old man would come and scold him.
Going to the hospital was also not an option.
If he faked being sick and stayed in the hospital, Kalista would definitely keep bothering him, and he wouldn't be able to secretly go to the company.
Even pretending to be Steve and going to Nora's side wouldn't work.
Isaac hung up the phone and continued to ponder alone.
After a while, he finally came up with a barely feasible solution.
He got up and walked out of the study, heading to the guest room where Nora was.
He didn't knock on the door, but directly opened it and walked in.
As a result, as soon as he entered, he happened to see Nora coming out of the bathroom after taking a shower.
Her hair was wrapped in a towel, and she was completely naked.
Isaac froze for a second, then immediately closed the door to prevent anyone from passing by and seeing.
Nora was also stunned.
The next moment.
"Ah!" Nora let out a sharp scream.
She panicked and quickly covered her body with her hands.
But she could cover the top, not the bottom.
Nora blushed with embarrassment, glared at Isaac fiercely, then hurriedly turned around and tried to run back to the bathroom to hide.
But her feet were wet, and with her frantic steps, as soon as she turned around and took a step forward, she slipped and instantly lost her balance and fell back.
Nora subconsciously screamed.
She tried to stabilize herself, but couldn't.
All she could do was desperately reach out to protect her belly, to avoid harming the baby.
Nora closed her eyes and resigned herself to the fall onto the hard floor.
However, after she fell, she was surprised to find that it didn't hurt at all!
Nora blinked and quickly opened her eyes.
She turned over and glanced down, only to find Isaac beneath her!
She had fallen on top of him, which explained why it didn't hurt.
"Now that you're all grown up, why are you still so restless? If I wasn't here, you could have fallen and hurt the baby," Isaac said in a deep voice.
He grabbed her arm with one hand and supported her waist with the other, helping her up as he sat up himself.
Nora went from lying on top of him to sitting on his lap.
Because he sat up, they were very close to each other.
Their bodies were almost pressed together.
Furthermore, his hand held her waist, and the palm's scorching heat spread without any barriers, causing her body to instinctively tremble.
Nora's cheeks instantly turned red, and her heartbeat accelerated wildly.
"If you hadn't come in, I wouldn't have fallen!" Nora retorted, unwilling to admit defeat.
Isaac smirked and said, "Could it be that you've done something wrong?"
"What?" Nora looked baffled. "What could I have done wrong?"
Isaac said, "If you haven't done anything wrong, how come you look startled and panicked as soon as you see me? And why do you want to hide?"
Nora clenched her teeth and said, "I'm not wearing any clothes, I was going to find something to wear!"
Isaac casually said, "I've seen you without clothes before, so why are you so flustered?"
Nora glared at him angrily. "I don't have as thick-skinned a face as you do, and I don't enjoy being looked at like you do!"
"Let go of me and let me go put on some clothes!"
His hand was still holding her waist, and she couldn't get up at all.
This awkward position made her feel ashamed and embarrassed, and her face turned red, almost as if it were about to burst into blood.
Isaac didn't let go of her.
Instead, he stood up while holding her.
Then, he carried her towards the edge of the bed.
"What...what are you doing?" Nora became nervous.
Isaac teasingly asked, "What do you think I'm doing?"
"I...I'm not a mind reader, how would I know what you're planning?" Nora gritted her teeth.
Isaac smirked at her and then placed her on the bed.
Under her anxious gaze, he helped pull up the blanket and covered her with it.
Then, he sat by the edge of the bed without making any inappropriate moves.
Nora secretly breathed a sigh of relief.
Nora grabbed her blanket and asked cautiously, "What are you doing in my room, Isaac?"
Isaac replied, "I came to find you."
Nora's mouth twitched, "I know you came to find me, but I'm asking why you came to find me! Why didn't you knock?"
"It's not common to knock on doors at home," Isaac replied matter-of-factly, "I also didn't expect that you haven't changed your habit of not wearing clothes after taking a shower."
Nora's face turned even redder.
She didn't like to dress in the bathroom because she always accidentally got wet.
When she was with Isaac before, he often teased and bullied her.
Nora bit her lip, suppressing her embarrassment, and asked, "What do you want with me?"
Isaac didn't beat around the bush and said directly, "I want to talk to you again about letting your boyfriend move in together."
"You want to back out?" Nora replied coldly, "If you don't let him move in, then I'll move back in with him."
"We are in the honeymoon period," Isaac said while seeming to smile ambiguously.
She really knows how to talk nonsense.
"I won't back out," Isaac said calmly, "but I have one request."
Nora looked at him in confusion.
Isaac said, "You can't let him meet me. When I come back, make sure he has the decency to avoid me."
"I've already made a big concession by letting him move in. I hope he has some self-awareness and doesn't provoke me."
"Otherwise, if I don't like him, I can't guarantee that he will leave here alive."
Nora said, "His work hours are similar to yours. How is it possible to avoid each other?"
"That's your problem. You discuss it with him and make sure he doesn't meet me, unless he wants to get beaten up."
He stood up and walked towards the door.
"Isaac!" Nora suddenly called out to him.
Isaac stopped in his tracks and turned to look at her. "What is it?"
