Chapter 361 Isaac, You're Not Human!

"What?" Nora was stunned, looking at Isaac in shock, doubting if she had heard his question correctly.

Isaac's eyes darkened as he looked at Nora and asked again, "How many children do you have?"

On the way back, he had been thinking about Magnus's question.

There was a Magnus at the Hansen Manor, and there was a Magnus with them.

Why were there two Magnuses?

The Magnus at the Hansen Manor didn't wear a mask at the time, and Isaac saw his face very clearly—it was Magnus's face.

The one at home, when he sent Magnus back to his room, he secretly lifted the mask, and it was also Magnus's face.

Two identical faces.

Even their bodies were identical.

The only answer Isaac could think of was that Nora had given birth to two identical boys back then, which would explain the two Magnuses.

But Nora had always said she gave birth to fraternal twins.

A boy and a girl.

So what was the deal with the extra Magnus?

The two Magnuses looked the same age; they could only have been born at the same time. It was impossible for Nora to have given birth to another one separately.

"I only have two children, Magnus and Soren, you know that," Nora frowned. "Are you suspecting that I secretly had another child without telling you?"

Isaac said, "I'm not suspecting you."

Nora didn't seem to be lying; she indeed only had two children. So whose child was the other one?

A relative's child?

A relative's child couldn't possibly look exactly like Magnus.

"If you believe me, why are you suddenly asking me this kind of question?" Nora asked in a deep voice.

Isaac's eyes flickered, and he shook his head, "I was just asking casually, don't overthink it."

Because the other Magnus hadn't returned safely yet, he was afraid that if Nora found out, she would want to rescue Magnus and be constantly worried, so he chose to keep it a secret.

He also didn't tell Nora that he already knew Magnus and Soren were his children.

He would tell her after rescuing the other Magnus.

Nora said, "Since you've finished asking, it's my turn to ask you now."

"Where have you been taking Soren all this time? Why did you lie to me, saying she went abroad with Grandpa? Why did you hide her from me? What have you done to her?"

She wouldn't suspect Isaac of mistreating Soren, but Isaac's behavior of not letting her see Soren was indeed suspicious, making her think more.

Isaac lowered his eyelids, suddenly not daring to look her in the eyes.

Although Soren had been found, he still felt guilty and felt he had wronged Nora.

"You said you would confess to me after you came back. Don't think you can get away with it. If you don't tell me today, don't ever talk to me again!" Nora urged through gritted teeth.

Isaac said, "I didn't intend to get away with it, but I don't know how to start."

Nora just looked at him silently.

Isaac struggled for a long time and finally spoke.

He reached out and grabbed Nora's hands, his deep eyes filled with guilt, "Honey, I'll tell you, but you need to stay calm and not get too upset."

Nora pressed her lips together, looking at him deeply.

Isaac finally told her the truth, "On the day we took Magnus and Soren to the amusement park, Soren was kidnapped by traffickers."

Because Magnus returned that day, Isaac omitted the part where Magnus was also kidnapped.

"What?" Nora's pupils contracted, looking at Isaac in disbelief, her body trembling violently.

Soren was kidnapped by traffickers?

Nora asked in a trembling voice, "So you and Grandpa lied to me, saying Soren went abroad with Grandpa, to hide the fact that Soren was in trouble?"

"You've been avoiding me all this time because you were afraid I'd find out Soren was kidnapped?"

Isaac nodded guiltily, "Yes, I was afraid you would be too shocked and unable to accept the truth, so I thought I'd tell you the truth after finding Soren."

"I'm sorry, Nora. It's my fault for not watching Soren properly, letting her suffer for so long."

Nora's heart ached terribly. She couldn't imagine how much Soren had suffered after being kidnapped for so long.

Nora pulled her hands back and slapped Isaac hard.

"Why did you hide it from me? Why didn't you tell me immediately when Soren was in trouble, so I could help find her? Could you guarantee you would bring Soren back?"

"If you had told me earlier, we might have found her sooner and spared her some suffering!"

Thinking of Soren crying heartbrokenly when she saw her, Nora felt like her heart was being cut with a knife.

Her baby was suffering outside, and she had no idea.

Thinking about how comfortable she had been living during this time, not seeing Soren for more than half a month, not even seeing her videos, without suspecting anything, she wanted to slap herself.

It was all Isaac's fault!

It was his fault for hiding it from her, making her unaware of Soren's trouble, making her enjoy life while Soren was in trouble.

"Traffickers are cunning. I believe you didn't do it on purpose, but why didn't you tell me immediately? Why did you hide it from me?"

"She is my child. How dare you hide it from me?!"

Nora was very emotional, constantly hitting Isaac, venting her inner anger and fear.

Although Soren was back now, thinking about it still made her feel scared and uneasy.

"I'm sorry, I didn't dare to face you, afraid of being blamed by you," Isaac said guiltily. "I was afraid you couldn't handle the shock, but I was also selfish, afraid you would blame me, hate me, so I thought I'd tell you the truth after finding Soren."

Nora cried and sneered, "How do you know that after finding Soren and telling me, I wouldn't hate you?"

"Isaac, I hate you! I hate you for keeping the truth from me, thinking it was for my own good!"

"While Soren was suffering outside, I, as her mother, didn't go looking for her, but enjoyed life at home. Do you know how guilty and self-blaming I feel when I think back the past half month?"

"Isaac, you're not human!"

Isaac lowered his eyes, standing silently in front of Nora, letting her vent her anger on him without resisting or making a sound.

If hitting and scolding him could make her feel better, then let her do it.

He indeed deserved it.
