Chapter 558 Must Avenge
Isaac said in a deep voice, "Magnus can't hear or speak."
"And, he has lost his memory. He doesn't remember anyone or anything from before."
Nora's face turned pale, saying, "What?"
Isaac stepped forward and patted Nora's shoulder, "Don't get too upset yet. I'll explain everything in the study later."
Nora hugged Magnus, her heart aching so much that she could hardly breathe.
Nora thought, 'How could this happen? Why do my children always have to suffer? Those beasts who hurt children deserve to die!'
Magnus still looked confused but didn't struggle, allowing Nora to hold him.
Although he didn't know who this beautiful lady was, her presence made him feel warm and safe. He didn't reject her closeness; in fact, he liked being in her embrace.
The beautiful lady's embrace felt very familiar to him.
Barrett and Soren soon returned to the living room after washing their hands.
Nora and Isaac had lunch with the three children.
After lunch, Nora let the three children play together and told Barrett and Soren that Magnus couldn't hear or speak now, asking them to be patient and take care of Magnus.
Soren almost cried again upon hearing this.
She had grown up with Magnus, and seeing him like this made her feel terrible.
She ran over and held Magnus's hand, saying in a mature tone, "Mommy, don't worry. I will take good care of Magnus. He always took care of me before, now it's my turn to take care of him!"
Barrett also walked over, holding Magnus's other hand, and seriously promised, "I will take good care of Magnus too!"
Nora smiled with relief and, after instructing the servants to watch over them, went to the study with Isaac.
Once the study door was closed, Nora couldn't wait to ask, "Tell me quickly, why can't Magnus hear or speak, and why did he lose his memory?"
Isaac put his arm around her shoulder and said, "Don't worry, sit down first. I'll tell you everything I know."
He led her to the sofa, made her sit down, poured her a glass of water, and then sat beside her to start explaining the truth.
"When Soren was kidnapped, she was taken along with Magnus. Because I kept sending people to track them down, the traffickers were afraid the children would cry and attract attention, so they gave all the children a mute drug and injured their ears."
Nora clenched her fists.
She knew this part. When Soren was rescued, she could speak but couldn't hear. After several surgeries by Rhys, she regained her hearing.
She didn't expect Magnus to suffer the same harm.
Isaac continued, "Later, Magnus and Soren ended up with the Hansen family by chance, which is Amara's family."
"They saw Magnus's face and recognized him as my child, so they kept them to threaten me, trying to make me marry into the Hansen family."
"I negotiated with them to release Soren first, so she could get timely treatment and recover quickly."
"Soren said that when the traffickers forced them to take the mute drug, Magnus took it for her and told her to pretend to be mute, so her vocal cords weren't affected."
"Magnus took two doses of the mute drug, severely damaging his throat. Rhys said it would be difficult to recover."
"And his ears, because of the delayed treatment, are also difficult to heal."

Magnus had suffered so much without her knowing.
Isaac hugged Nora and choked up, "Don't worry, I won't let the Hansen family get away with this. I will avenge the children, and Mortimer won't escape either!"
His eyes showed a clear intent to kill.
Punishing Liora alone couldn't ease his hatred; he wanted the entire Hansen family to pay.
If it weren't for Amara's pregnancy and his need for the umbilical cord blood to save Barrett, he would have acted long ago.
But now, with Amara's child gone, he no longer needed to wait or hold back.
Nora nodded, "Okay, but Barrett doesn't have much time left. I think we should spend quality time with him, letting him experience more beautiful things and love in his final days, so he can leave without too many regrets."
"Revenge can wait. Let's not waste precious time on it and neglect Barrett's company."
Barrett lacked love and always longed for it.
Now, with his limited time, they should do everything to fulfill his wishes rather than waste time on revenge and neglect him.
Revenge can be sought anytime, but missing the chance to be with Barrett would be irreparable.
Isaac agreed, "Yes, I think so too. Let's spend the last three months traveling the world with Barrett, showing him its beauty."
After agreeing, Nora called the kindergarten to request a long leave for the children.
The next day, the family of five set off from home.
Besides the five of them, they brought a nanny to care for the children, bodyguards for safety, and two accompanying doctors to handle any emergencies.
Although Magnus had lost his memory and didn't remember anyone, he got along well with Soren and Barrett, possibly due to their blood relation.
Even though Magnus couldn't hear or speak, he seemed happy, always curiously watching them. When Soren smiled, he would grin too.
Barrett felt very guilty, thinking it was his fault that Magnus ended up like this.
Despite Nora and Isaac repeatedly telling him it wasn't his fault, he still felt guilty around Magnus.
His way of making up for it was to constantly give Magnus fruits and snacks.
So, before they had gone far, Magnus ended up throwing up from being overfed.
The car slowly headed towards the airport.
Halfway there, a car suddenly crashed into them head-on.
