Chapter 568 The Grand Finale
After returning home, Nora first contacted Elder to discuss the issue of the child Mortimer had brought into the world.
The child had already been born, and even if Nora couldn't accept him, it was impossible to make him disappear.
Elder suggested keeping the child at The Radcliffe Mansion and assured that the child would not be told who his biological mother was.
Nora agreed with Elder's approach. After all, she wasn't going to take care of him, and if Elder was willing to keep him at The Radcliffe Mansion, that was a good thing.
Although her attitude might seem cruel to the child, she had been deceived. Unknowingly having a child with her own blood relation made her very uncomfortable. Expecting her to take care of the child was something she couldn't do.
However, Nora finally said that if Elder wanted to tell the child who his biological mother was in the future, she had no objections, but all the true circumstances must be revealed.
After discussing the child's future, Nora and Isaac took their three children to The Porter Manor to inform Edmund about the three children.
Now that Barrett's illness was cured and Magnus's injury could be treated, they no longer needed to hide the truth from Edmund.
"Oh my God, is this true? Nora, you really had three children? You are truly the lucky star of the Porter family!"
"This is wonderful, the three children are beautiful and smart, just like you."
"I can't wait, you should pick a day to announce the children's identities. I want everyone to know that I have three adorable great-grandchildren, and make all my friends envious, haha!"
Edmund couldn't stop smiling, his old hands lovingly patting the heads of the three children.
Nora said, "I have no objections, Grandpa, you can arrange it."
Edmund laughed, "Great, since you have no objections, I'll take charge and pick a date!"
Edmund, full of excitement, immediately wanted to go to the study to pick a date.
Isaac stopped him, saying, "Grandpa, you haven't asked me yet, I have an opinion."
Edmund glared at him, "What opinion do you have? You don't deserve to have an opinion, stay out of this!"
Nora couldn't help but chuckle softly.
Isaac didn't mind Edmund's attitude towards him. With a silly smile on his face, he took a ring out of his pocket, then knelt on one knee in front of Nora, looking at her with emotion, and said, "Nora, the last time we got married, because of me, you had a bad experience and endured so many bad rumors alone. I want to make it up to you with a proper wedding. Will you give me this chance and marry me again?"
He looked at Nora nervously, waiting for her answer.
Although their relationship had been good recently, he was still very nervous, afraid that Nora would refuse.
"Don't agree to him, he's not worthy of you!" Edmund suddenly said.
Isaac looked at Edmund in frustration, "Grandpa, are you really my grandpa? How can you not only not help me but also oppose me?"
Edmund said proudly, "Because you didn't listen to my advice before and always bullied Nora. Think about the past three years, how much did you make Nora suffer? Why should Nora forgive you just because you said so?"
Isaac's face turned red with embarrassment, and he said softly, "I didn't know the truth before."
Edmund said proudly, "I didn't know anything either, but I always believed in Nora. Why could I believe in Nora, but you couldn't?"
Isaac lowered his head in guilt.
Edmund continued, "You didn't love Nora enough, so you didn't trust her. Unlike me, I trusted Nora's character. No matter what she appeared to do, I knew that with her nature and character, she must have had her reasons and wasn't really unfaithful!"
Isaac felt even more guilty.
Seeing that Edmund wanted to say more, Isaac said, "Grandpa, please stop. If you keep talking, I'll never get my wife back in this lifetime."
Edmund snorted coldly, giving him a disdainful look, but eventually stopped talking.
Isaac breathed a sigh of relief and quickly looked at Nora again.
Nora cleared her throat, "I don't want to get married until Magnus recovers."
Isaac's eyes dimmed.
That night, Isaac had Magnus sent to Everglade City.
The next morning, when Nora woke up and found Magnus gone, she realized Isaac had sent him away. She angrily pinned Isaac to the ground and beat him up.
"Even if you wanted to send him away, you should have told me so I could say a proper goodbye!"
Isaac, holding his head, explained while being hit, "I was afraid you wouldn't let him go, so I sent him away without telling you."
"But you don't need to worry about his safety. I've sent enough people to take care of and protect him."
"And there's a signal tower over there, so we can video call him every day and see him every day."
Nora was still angry and sat on him forcefully before getting up in a huff and running off to find Barrett and Soren.
Time flew by, and in the blink of an eye, six months had passed.
On Isaac's 99th proposal, Nora accepted his proposal.
Isaac was overjoyed and spun her around for a while, finally collapsing onto the rose petals scattered on the ground, with a blissful smile on his face.
After the successful proposal, Isaac began preparing for the wedding.
He also arranged to announce the identities of the three children at the wedding banquet.
He called Kenneth in advance to give Magnus a break and ensure he would be back for the wedding.
Upon learning of Isaac's successful proposal, Edmund sighed and felt that Nora forgave him too easily. He thought she should have waited longer. He even encouraged her to go back on her word, which almost made Isaac forget his respect for Edmund and start a fight with him.
To prevent Edmund from turning Nora against him, Isaac quickly set the wedding date, sent out invitations, and began preparing the wedding banquet.
Although time was tight, he was determined not to be perfunctory and to give Nora an unforgettable wedding.
Three months later, the wedding was held as scheduled.
The hotel was decorated beautifully, like a paradise.
Nora, wearing a gorgeous wedding dress designed by Isaac himself, walked step by step onto the stage.
Isaac stood on the stage, smiling as he watched her walk towards him, his heart pounding with excitement.
Nora slowly walked up to Isaac and placed her hand in his palm.
As the officiant gave his speech, Nora whispered in his ear, "I haven't seen Magnus before coming on stage. Did his teacher not let him come back?"
Isaac said, "Maybe he was delayed on the way. I just talked to him before coming on stage, and he said he was on the way."
Nora felt a bit disappointed, "So he won't make it in time. That's a bit of a regret."
Isaac squeezed her hand, "It's okay. If he doesn't make it today, the banquet won't end until he arrives. We must wait for him so everyone can see our precious son before ending the banquet."
Nora felt speechless. At that moment, Edmund, the officiant, said, "Next, the couple will exchange rings."
As Edmund finished speaking, Barrett and Soren, dressed in adorable outfits, each holding a ring box, walked up to Nora and Isaac.
Isaac solemnly placed the ring on Nora's finger, and Nora smiled as she placed the ring on his finger.
Just then, Magnus, dressed in a tiny suit and holding a bouquet of flowers, ran into the banquet hall, panting as he made his way to the stage. With a sweet smile, he raised the flowers and said in a sweet childlike voice, "Mommy, Daddy, happy wedding!"
Nora looked at him in surprise and excitement, squatting down to hug him.
"Magnus, you made it? Oh my God, you can talk now?"
She trembled with excitement, unable to hold back her tears.
Last night, during the video call with Magnus, he had been quiet. She hadn't expected that he would be able to speak at the wedding today!
Nora choked up, saying, "Thank you, Magnus. You coming to my wedding and hearing your voice is the most beautiful and precious gift today!"
Isaac was also very excited, but he controlled his emotions, pulled Nora up, and took the microphone. He said to the audience, "As you can see, these three children are mine, the children my wife gave birth to for me three years ago."
"In the past few years, I was confused and did many unethical things, hurting my wife and wronging my children. From now on, I will work hard to make up for the harm I caused them."
He looked at Nora with deep affection in his eyes, "Nora, I love you."
"For the rest of my life, my love will only be for you and our children. No one else will ever be able to destroy our family's happiness."
"I will make you the happiest woman."
Edmund suddenly shouted angrily, "Isaac, I'm not dead yet, and you've already forgotten me, not even willing to share a bit of love with me?"
The audience burst into laughter.
Isaac shook his head with a helpless smile.
The beautiful atmosphere had been disrupted by Edmund, and now it was impossible to be sentimental again.
Amid the laughter, Nora took two steps forward, stood on tiptoe, and gave Isaac a quick kiss on the lips. She whispered in his ear, "I love you too."
"Honey, for the rest of our lives, please take care of me."
They smiled at each other, their eyes reflecting each other's image. In a world full of wonders, their eyes held only each other.
