Chapter 411: You should know, Nora hates you.
Liora's expression froze completely, a trace of panic flashing in her eyes, "It's not like that, Isaac, you misunderstood me."
Isaac sneered coldly, "You voluntarily signed the agreement, demanding a fair duel between both parties, with no revenge regardless of the outcome."
"But now, less than half an hour has passed, and you're going back on your word, asking me to avenge you. How exactly did I misinterpret you?"
Amara chimed in with a smirk, "I can't believe how shameless you are, Liora. You voluntarily signed the agreement, but now you're denying it so quickly. Are you really trying to drag Isaac down to be as shameless as you?"
"Liora's mouth is like her butt, the words she says are like farts."
"Isaac, let's stay away from Liora, so we don't get disgusted by her words."
She pulled Isaac away from Liora with a look of disdain.
"Amara, shut up! This is none of your business!" Liora roared in exasperation.
Amara pretended to be scared, hiding pitifully behind Isaac, "Isaac, do you still think Liora is well-mannered, gentle, and quiet?"
"Look at her, she has no integrity, goes back on her word, and now she's yelling like a shrew. She's so scary."
Isaac spoke disappointedly, "It seems I misjudged her. I thought she was different from others."
Amara comforted him, "Isaac, you were deceived by her. She's good at pretending. She acted that way on purpose to get your attention."
"Unfortunately, her acting is too poor. It didn't take long for her true colors to show."
"But it's good this way. The sooner you see her true face, the less likely you'll be deceived and ruin your happiness."
Isaac didn't respond, but his disappointed expression clearly showed he was influenced by Amara's words.
Liora, in a panic, hurriedly defended herself, "Isaac, don't buy into her nonsense. It's not like she said. I didn't deliberately deceive you, and I'm not a sore loser."
"I was just joking with you. I never intended to seek revenge. Don't take it seriously."
Amara uttered with a mocking smile, "Liora, you really have some nerve. You were just fiercely demanding Isaac to avenge you, and now that I've exposed you, you say it was a joke. How good are you at joking?"
"Shut up!" Liora shouted sternly, glaring at Amara warningly.
That damn Amara, no one would consider her mute if she didn't speak!
Amara stuck her tongue out at her provocatively.
Then, Amara softly said to Isaac, "Isaac, you don't seem to be in a good mood. Let me accompany you for a walk."
Isaac seemed to hesitate for a few seconds, then nodded, "Okay."
He strode out of the villa with a cold aura.
Amara hurried to catch up.
Before leaving, she didn't forget to raise her eyebrows at Liora triumphantly, as if showing off her victory.
After they left the villa, Liora screamed in anger.
"Amara, you're too much! You deliberately smeared me in front of Isaac and took advantage of the situation to trick him into dating you. You deserves to die a thousand times over!"
Liora's eyes were sinister, her chest heaving with rage.
Her hatred had successfully shifted entirely to Amara, and she had already forgotten about Nora.
Although she hated Nora for hitting her, Nora was already a thing of the past to Isaac and posed no significant threat to her.
Now, Amara was the biggest threat to her!
She had to get rid of Amara quickly, or Isaac would be taken away!
Liora was filled with hatred and regret, wondering why she couldn't keep her composure, giving Amara a chance to fight back.
After Isaac and Amara left, Amara suggested going to the movies.
Isaac agreed, but he remained restless and distracted along the way.
When they reached the cinema entrance, his phone rang.
Seeing it was Wesley calling, his frown finally relaxed.
Isaac answered the call.
After a few minutes, he hung up the phone and said to Amara with a serious expression, "I've got something going on at work. I need to put in some overtime. You can watch the movie by yourself."
Amara was a bit unhappy, "It's so late. What could be so urgent? Can't someone else handle it? Why does it have to be you?"
Isaac replied, "It's a multi-billion-dollar project. The others can't handle it."
Amara was shocked and instantly didn't dare to argue, "Then you go ahead, but don't overwork yourself."
"Okay." Isaac left without looking back.
Amara looked at the two movie tickets in her hand, muttering, "Isaac is really busy with work. Every time we go on a date, he gets called away shortly after. If I marry him in the future and he's still this busy, won't I often be left alone?"
"But such a big project can't just be abandoned."
Amara was already worrying about her future married life.
She believed she would be the one to marry Isaac in the end.
Although Isaac had left, Amara still took photos of the two movie tickets and a candid shot of Isaac's back, sending them to Liora.
She didn't forget to add a message to provoke Liora.
[Thank you for making Isaac angry. If you hadn't angered him, I wouldn't have had the chance to comfort him.]
In the villa, Liora received the message and almost fainted from anger.
"Amara, don't be so arrogant!"
"When I recover, I'll make sure you can't be arrogant anymore!"
After leaving Isaac's villa, Nora didn't go home or visit Sophia in the hospital.
After storing her painting, she went to a bar to drink away her sorrows.
She was in a very bad mood and just wanted to get drunk to numb her mind.
At same time, Nora was safety-conscious.
To prevent any accidents after getting drunk, she called Mortimer before going to the bar, asking him to send someone to protect her.
After making the call, Nora walked into the bar with peace of mind.
As she drank one glass after another, the world began to spin.
Nora's vision started to blur, but the chaotic thoughts in her mind didn't disappear.
She angrily pounded her head.
"Why are you so useless? Why are you thinking about that scumbag Isaac? He has mistresses at home, enjoying himself with them, and you're still thinking about him? Are you that cheap?"
In front of Isaac, she tried hard to stay calm.
But inside, she was far from calm.
Nora really wanted to slap him and break his reproductive organ.
"Bastard, go to hell!"
"You caused my child so much pain and are still playing around at home. You don't deserve to be human!"
Nora, in a fit of rage, couldn't help but drink and curse.
"Miss, heartbroken?" A lazy voice suddenly came.
Nora looked up and saw a young man with tattoos on his arm, looking at her with a creepy expression.
When he saw her face, the man's eyes revealed a look of amazement.
So beautiful!
He didn't expect to meet such a high-quality woman in a bar.
If he could have sex with her, he could brag about it to his friends for years.
Not only did he want to do it, but he also wanted to film it, blackmail her for a while, and then let her go when he got bored!
The more he thought about it, the more excited he became.
He directly put his hand on Nora's shoulder and spoke with a smile, "It's so boring to drink alone. How about I take you to a quiet place where we can drink and have some fun. If you’ve got anything on your mind, I'm all ears. How about it? Shall we go now?"
"Get lost!" Nora shouted irritably, pushing him away in disgust.
The tattooed man laughed slyly, "You have quite a temper. I like fiery women. The fierier the temper, the wilder they are in bed."
Nora's stomach churned, feeling nauseated by his words.
Suppressing her anger, she moved two seats away and continued drinking.
The tattooed man quickly followed, this time sitting right next to her, reaching for her waist.
"Drinking alone is so boring. Let me drink with you, and then I'll take you to bed."
Before his hand could touch Nora's waist, she grabbed his wrist and twisted it, turning his unfinished words into a scream.
But because the music in the bar was so loud, only a few people nearby heard it.
Those who heard didn't want to cause trouble, so they quickly looked away and continued dancing.
"You bitch, you dare..."
The tattooed man cursed angrily, but before he could finish, his mouth was suddenly covered, and he couldn't make a sound.
Nora noticed a tall figure appear behind the tattooed man.
She found that Mortimer had arrived.
Mortimer had a cloth in his hand, which he stuffed into the tattooed man's mouth.
Then he threw him over to his bodyguard.
Without needing Mortimer's orders, the bodyguard instinctively dragged the tattooed man out of the bar.
Mortimer walked over to Nora, looking at her drunken eyes, and couldn't help but sigh, "I hadn't even arrived yet, and you started drinking? What if you got so drunk that someone hurt you?"
Nora, drunk, "Don't worry, I know my limits. I won't drink myself into oblivion if no one's around."
Mortimer, both amused and exasperated, couldn't help but ruffle her hair, "You're so adorable."
Nora angrily slapped his hand away, "Don't touch my head, you'll mess up my hair."
Mortimer couldn't help but laugh.
It seemed she was really drunk.
He sat down next to Nora and asked gently, "What happened? Why did you suddenly want to drink?"
Nora didn't want to reveal the real reason and casually replied, "Too many things have happened recently. I'm feeling a bit agitated and wanted to relax."
Mortimer spoke, "Drinking won't help you relax. You'll just feel more tired and uncomfortable the next day."
Nora uttered gloomily, "I know. But at least when I'm drunk, my mind can relax for a moment and not think about so many annoying things."
Mortimer coaxed helplessly, "If that's what you want, then drink as much as you want. I'll stay with you and take you home when you're drunk."
Nora hiccupped and, still somewhat sober, politely voiced, "Thank you, you're a good person."
Mortimer, both amused and exasperated, "Even now, you don't forget to thank me?"
Nora was already hugging the bottle and drinking again.
As she drank more and more, her remaining rationality gradually disappeared.
Seeing that she had drunk enough, Mortimer waved his hand in front of her face, "Nora, do you still recognize me?"
Nora stared at him for a while and spoke unhappily, "You keep waving around, making me see double. I can't see your face clearly. Who knows who you are?"
Mortimer sighed.
It seemed Nora was really drunk.
Nora continued to mutter, "You don't even know who you are and go around asking others. You must have a problem with your brain."
Mortimer remained silent.
He quietly took the glass from Nora's hand and helped her stand up.
"What are you doing?" Nora asked warily.
Mortimer smiled, "I have a collection of top-quality wines, the kind money can't buy. Want to try?"
Nora nodded vigorously.
Mortimer smiled, "Then come with me."
Nora obediently followed him out of the bar.
Mortimer helped Nora stand at the bar entrance and called his subordinate to bring the car over.
While he was on the phone, he felt Nora, who had been leaning heavily against him, suddenly move away.
Mortimer immediately looked up, his face darkening.
Isaac had arrived at some point, and Nora was now in his arms.
"Isaac? What are you doing here?" Mortimer frowned tightly.
Seeing Isaac holding Nora, his eyes grew colder.
Suppressing his displeasure, Mortimer said to Isaac, "Nora asked me to take care of her if she got drunk. Please hand her over to me, so she won't be angry when she sobers up."
As he spoke, he reached out to pull Nora.
Isaac quickly moved Nora to the other side, giving Mortimer a cold glance, "She's my wife. If anyone should take care of her, it should be me. Stay away from my wife."
"Isaac, you know very well that Nora hates you now. She won't want you around. Hand her over to me and don't make her angry."
Isaac's face darkened, his voice cold, "Even if she hates me, I'm still her husband. As her husband, I can't see her drunk and hand her over to another man!"
"If your brain isn't broken, you should understand to keep your distance from a married woman!"
With that, Isaac carried Nora to a car parked by the roadside.
Mortimer tried to stop him.
But several bodyguards suddenly blocked his way, "Mr. Radcliffe, please stop."
Mortimer, with a grim face, fought them off.
But by the time he had dealt with the bodyguards, Isaac had already driven away.
Watching the car disappear into the distance, Mortimer's face darkened, and he punched a bodyguard, knocking him out.
Isaac didn't take Nora back to the villa.
Amara and Liora were still living there, and he didn't want Nora to become their target.
He took Nora back to her place.
Isaac carried Nora into the room and gently placed her on the bed.
As he was helping her take off her shoes, Nora suddenly sat up, staring straight at him.
Isaac looked up, meeting her gaze, and asked gently, "What's wrong?"
Nora, drunk, shouted, "Kneel down!"
Isaac was puzzled.
