Chapter 527 Preparing for the Wedding
"You're not carrying her child, so why should she give in to you?" Isaac looked at her in confusion, his eyes filled with disdain.
Amara was at a loss for words.
She stomped her foot in frustration and said, "But I'm carrying your child! Can't she consider your past relationship and give in to me a little? She's just too mean, always targeting me!"
Isaac replied coldly, "I'm still married to her. I'm her legal husband, and you're carrying my child. You expect her to give in to you? You should be thankful she hasn't hit you."
Amara fell silent.
Isaac continued, "You seem normal enough. How could you say something so stupid? Don't provoke her again."
Amara felt aggrieved, but Isaac had no intention of comforting her.
He had already gotten into the car parked by the roadside.
Amara stomped her foot again and reluctantly got into the car.
Once inside, Amara calmed down and softened her voice, "Isaac, can we start planning the wedding now?"
"As soon as you finalize the divorce with Nora, we'll register our marriage and hold the wedding."
"Although the timing is a bit rushed, we can still make the wedding venue look nice if we spend a bit more money. The only thing is, we won't be able to get a custom-made wedding dress."
"But that's okay. I don't mind. I just want to marry you as soon as possible."
What she cared about most now was marrying Isaac.
Everything else was just icing on the cake.
Isaac said, "Let's talk about it after I finalize the divorce."
Amara asked softly, "Isaac, are you trying to find an excuse to delay again?"
"I'm not asking you to marry me before you get the divorce decree."
"I'm just asking you to start preparing now, so we can have the wedding as soon as you get the decree. Is that too much to ask?"
Isaac said with a stern face, "If I start planning a second wedding before the divorce is finalized, people will gossip."
Amara said unhappily, "But my belly is getting bigger. Next month, the baby will be six months old. If we wait until next month to start preparing, we won't be able to have the wedding until at least the seventh month."
"A seven-month pregnant belly can't be hidden, and it will be hard to find a suitable wedding dress."
"Even if I find a dress, I don't mind looking less attractive in it because of my big belly."
"But as the months go by, my physical strength and mobility will be limited. I might not even be able to handle the whole wedding!"
Amara felt more and more aggrieved, "Isaac, you need to consider my feelings too."
"Our situation can't be hidden, so let's not worry about what others say. Let's start preparing the wedding now."
"We shouldn't care too much about others' opinions. We need to think more about our child; we can't let them be born as an illegitimate child!"
She didn't care about her reputation, because her reputation was already ruined, she had to fight for the status of being Isaac's wife.
She couldn't lose her reputation and not gain the status of Isaac's wife!
Isaac pressed his lips tightly together, his face dark, unwilling to agree to the wedding.
When he married Nora, he didn't even attend the wedding, so he was even less inclined to marry someone else now.
Amara cried, "I don't care. After you get the divorce decree, we will register our marriage and hold the wedding immediately!"
"If you don't agree, I'll abort the baby today. I won't keep it."
"If I compromise now and let you keep delaying, what will I do if you don't agree later and continue to delay?"
She felt that Isaac was deliberately stalling.
He wanted to wait until the baby was too big to abort, so she couldn't use the baby to threaten him anymore.
So, she had to make Isaac agree to her demands now.
If she couldn't force him to agree now, it would be even harder later.
She couldn't back down.
Now Isaac needed her to have the baby, so he had to pay a price!
Even though she had initially schemed against him, she was still going to have his baby, so he wouldn't be at a disadvantage and need to take responsibility.
"It seems you really don't want me or the baby. Fine, I won't force you. I'll go abort the baby now!"
Amara gave a bitter smile, opened the car door, and prepared to get out.
"I agree." Isaac said in a deep voice.
Amara stopped and looked at Isaac with surprise, "Isaac, you agree to marry me and hold the wedding?"
Isaac's face was dark, but he nodded. He had no choice.
Amara was so excited she was trembling, "Isaac, I'm so happy. I can finally become your legal wife!"
"We will be the happiest family of three!"
"I'll tell my mom the good news right away. Once you finalize the divorce, we can register our marriage!"
She took out her phone and started texting Sylvie to share the good news.
Compared to Amara's joy, Isaac's face was dark, showing no sign of happiness.
Amara could see that he was unhappy, but she didn't care.
She just wanted to marry Isaac now. Even though it hurt that Isaac didn't love her, she could ignore it.
As long as they got married, she would have plenty of opportunities to be with Isaac with their child, which would be easier to develop feelings.
She was confident that she could make Isaac fall in love with her!
Nora didn't go home immediately after leaving the courthouse.
Isaac had already lied to Magnus, saying they were celebrating their wedding anniversary today.
If she went home too early, it would be hard to explain to Magnus.
She found a coffee shop, ordered a cup of coffee, and sat there for a few hours.
It wasn't until it got dark that she got up to leave.
Before going home, she stopped by a bakery to buy two small cakes for Magnus and Soren.
When she got home, Soren had already been picked up from kindergarten by the nanny.
As soon as she walked in, Soren ran towards her, constantly looking behind her.
"Mommy, why are you alone? Magnus said Daddy was coming over today and that you and Daddy went on a date. Why are you back alone? Why didn't Daddy come back with you?" Soren asked unhappily.
Nora patted his little head and said, "He had work to do at the office."
Soren pouted, "Why is Daddy always busy with work? He hasn't come to see us for many days. He used to come every night."
"Mommy, did you ask Daddy when he won't be so busy anymore and when he can come to see us every night like before?"
