Chapter 453: There Are Always People Who Ruin His Good Deeds
Half a month later.
In the evening, after putting Magnus and Soren to sleep, Isaac suddenly said to Nora.
"Honey, I have to go on a business trip tomorrow for about a week. I won't be able to be with you and the kids during that time, so you'll have to manage on your own."
Nora paused and asked, "Where are you going on a business trip?"
Isaac was silent for a moment before saying, "Maritime Commerce Convention."
The Maritime Commerce Convention had a notorious reputation.
It was indeed a gathering of the world's top wealthy families.
But every time, there would be a bunch of women brought on board.
What happens at the party was self-explanatory.
In the past, this was an open secret among the upper class.
But later, some women who had been on the cruise flaunted their wealth online, saying that a week on the ship was worth ten years of working.
Since then, the reputation of the Maritime Commerce Convention took a hit.
Although not everyone who boarded the ship did unspeakable things, and there were some women representing their families.
But in the eyes of outsiders, everyone who boarded the ship seemed to carry a layer of filth.
Nora had once curiously asked him about it.
At that time, he had not yet taken over the Porter family and didn't know much about it, so he couldn't tell her the real situation.
"Maritime Commerce Convention," Nora repeated the words softly, thoughtfully.
She had read some news posts about the Maritime Commerce Convention back then.
There were many so-called insiders revealing information, making the Maritime Commerce Convention sound like a large illegal trading hub.
All the vices strictly prohibited by the country were present.
She didn't know what the real situation was.
After all, she had never been there.
When she asked Isaac back then, he hadn't been there either.
Later, when he went, their relationship had already soured, and she didn't ask him such questions.
Nora curiously asked, "So, were those online revelations true?"
Isaac's expression was complicated.
After a long silence, he replied, "Some of it is true, but it's not as exaggerated."
Nora's face immediately darkened.
Some of it was true!
No matter which part, it was not a good thing.
Isaac said helplessly, "The organizers are from abroad, and the event is held in international waters. Some things that are illegal in Horizonia are legal abroad."
Nora snorted.
Isaac continued, "But don't worry, I only go for business, I won't get involved in anything else!"
Nora snorted again.
Isaac asked, "How about you come with me? I can bring an assistant on the cruise."
Nora refused, "I'm not going. What about the kids if I leave?"
Isaac added, "I can arrange for people to take care of them."
Nora shook her head, "I don't feel comfortable."
"And there's nothing for me to do if I go. The cruise is at sea, the signal might be bad, and I won't be able to contact the kids. I won't feel at ease, so I'm not going."
A week without news of the kids, if something happened to them, she wouldn't be able to reach them.
She was determined not to go!
In the past, she might have considered it.
But now, the kids had just recovered, and she didn't dare to be careless.
Isaac sighed lightly.
He knew Nora wouldn't leave the kids to accompany him, so he didn't suggest it right away.
Isaac said seriously, "Honey, I promise to only do business, nothing else, and I won't even look at other women. I will remain faithful to you!"
Nora said proudly, "We have nothing to do with each other, you don't need to promise me. You're not being faithful for me, but for your fiancées!"
Isaac laughed, "I told you I don't have a fiancée, only you, my legal wife. How long are you going to be jealous?"
Nora glared at him, "I'm not jealous!"
Isaac held back his laughter, "Okay, you're not jealous, you're just unhappy."
Nora ignored him.
Isaac suddenly got up, moved Magnus and Soren aside, and lay down next to Nora.
Nora glared at him, "What are you doing?"
"Shh, keep your voice down, don't wake the kids." Isaac lay beside her, his long fingers pressed against her soft lips.
Nora looked at him angrily.
If she wasn't worried of waking the kids, she wouldn't be questioning him so quietly.
Isaac reached out and pulled her into his arms.
Nora struggled.
But it was useless.
She didn't dare to struggle too hard, and soon she was in his embrace.
"I won't see you tomorrow, let me hold you." Isaac held her tightly, burying his head in her neck, inhaling her fragrant scent deeply.
He seemed like a pervert.
Nora said speechlessly, "You're not leaving forever."
Isaac chuckled, "It's different. I want to hold you every day, missing one day is a loss."
Nora's face turned red.
Isaac held her for a while, his thin lips pressed against her earlobe, his lazy, magnetic voice whispering in her ear, "Honey, should we go to the next room?"
Nora immediately felt her blood rushing, her face burning, and her heart racing.
Nora bit her lip, pretending to be clueless, "Why go to the next room?"
Isaac whispered, "I want to have a deep conversation with you, can I?"
Nora's face felt like it was on fire, her heart racing as if it might leap right out of her chest.
Isaac's voice suddenly turned pitiful, "Honey, I really miss you, both in my heart and body. If you don't believe me, feel for yourself."
As he spoke, he grabbed Nora's hand and guided it down.
Nora's blood was boiling, she glared at him, embarrassed and angry, whispering, "Are you crazy? What if the kids wake up?"
Isaac chuckled, "Then let's go to the next room."
He quickly got up from the bed, picked Nora up, and walked briskly to the door.
Nora wrapped her arms around his neck, burying her face in his chest.
Listening to his strong, powerful heartbeat, her face grew even hotter.
Such a vigorous age, his body full of strength and energy.
In the next room, Isaac gently placed Nora on the bed, eagerly pressing down on her.
He didn't turn on the light.
In the darkness, he accurately kissed her lips.
The romantic atmosphere filled the room.
Nora was kissed into a daze.
She held Isaac tightly, her hands slipping under his shirt.
Isaac's breathing grew heavier, his desire rising rapidly.
He was eager to take the next step.
However, at that moment, a clear voice came from the door.
"Daddy, Mommy, why did you come here?"
It was Magnus's voice!
Magnus's childish voice was full of grievance.
Nora and Isaac instantly felt like they had been doused with cold water, their rationality returning immediately.
