Chapter 321 She Was a Step Too Late, Isaac Was Already in the Operating Room
Rhys knew Isaac's personality well that once he had made up his mind, no amount of persuasion from others would work.
He then sighed and said helplessly, "Wait here for a moment, I'll go prepare for the surgery."
Isaac responded indifferently.
Rhys walked out of the office. Then he immediately took out his phone and called Nora.
Meanwhile, Nora had just finished breakfast and was about to check on Magnus. As she walked out of the dining room, and her phone rang.
Nora glanced at the caller ID, feeling a bit puzzled.
Then she answered the call, "Rhys, is there something you need?"
Rhys lowered his voice and asked, "Nora, do you know about Isaac coming to the hospital for surgery? Is this your idea?"
Nora frowned, her confusion deepening. "Can you be more specific? What surgery is Isaac having? I didn't even know that he was in the hospital."
Her mood suddenly became tense, and she asked urgently, "What's wrong with him? Why does he need surgery?" She then started walking out anxiously, planning to go to the hospital.
Rhys said, "Nora, don't worry, he isn't sick and there's no life-threatening situation!"
Nora was puzzled, and asked, "If he's not sick, why is he at the hospital now? And why does he need surgery? Rhys, just tell me directly, what's wrong with his body? I might feel bad, but I can handle it!"
Rhys said with a wry smile, "It's my fault for not explaining clearly. Don't get excited, I'll tell you now. Isaac isn't sick and needing surgery; he wants to have a vasectomy."
Nora asked in shock, "What did you say? What does he want?"
Rhys repeated, "He wants to have a vasectomy, didn't you know?"
Nora's mind buzzed. Even though Rhys repeated it, she still felt like she was hearing things.
"Nora, is this a decision you two made together?" Rhys asked softly, "Isaac said that because you don't want to have children, he's afraid you'll worry about being pregnant, so he wants to have a vasectomy to prevent any of it. If this is also your decision, I'll go ahead and help him with it!"
Nora was even more shocked.
She pondered, 'Isaac was doing this because she didn't want to have children for him, so he decided to have a vasectomy? What the hell was he thinking? He's the heir to the Porter family, does he really not want his own children and plans to leave his inheritance to someone else?
Nora tried to suppress her inner shock, and said urgently, "I have no idea about it, and I never think he would go for a vasectomy on his own! Rhys, you must stop him!"
Rhys said helplessly, "I can't persuade him. I already tried, but he threatened me, saying if I don't do it, I won't be doing any surgeries in the future."
Nora said, "Stall for time, I'm heading to the hospital right now, I'll try to persuade him!"
Nora hung up, went to the garage, and drove one of Isaac's cars straight to the hospital.
Sometimes, the more urgent things are, the more unexpected events happen.
On the way to the hospital, there was constant traffic.
After being stuck in traffic for a moment, Nora accidentally rear-ended another car.
Because she was running out of her time, so she called Wesley to send someone to handle it.
At this point, she was still five miles from the hospital. And the traffic was still heavy. If she took a cab, it would definitely be stuck in traffic. So she started running towards the hospital.
It took her fifteen minutes to the hospital.
And she ran to the Rhys's office breathlessly.
The office was empty.
Was she too late?
Nora anxiously called Rhys.
And Rhys's phone rang from the drawer. When he performed surgery, he always left his phone in the office, which meant he was already starting the surgery for Isaac.
Nora bit her lip, anxiously running out of the office.
She happened to see a nurse passing by and immediately grabbed her, asking urgently, "Do you know where Rhys is?"
The nurse said, "Dr. Rhys? He's already in the operating room, performing surgery."
Nora asked urgently, "Which operating room?"
The nurse asked, "Are you Dr. Rhys's patient? He is in surgery now, you should wait here. Even if you go to the operating room door, you won't be able to see him."
Nora said, "I'm a family member of the patient he's operating on, please take me there, thank you."
The nurse suddenly understood. "Got it, follow me, it's this way."
Nora anxiously followed the nurse. And she kept praying inside that the surgery hadn't started yet.
Although she had researched male vasectomy and knew that it could be reversible. But some indeed said that it could be certain impacts after the surgery.
Isaac was the heir to the Porter family and couldn't take any risks.
If Edmund found out, he would be very angry and might even blame her for making Isaac give up having his own children. And she couldn't bear it.
Although she had secretly given birth to two children for Isaac, she didn't dare let anyone know the kids were Isaac's and let them reunite, with Daxton being around.
Moreover, Magnus had become so rude, even if he was recognized by the Porter family, he couldn't become the heir to the Porter family.
Nora's mind was filled with all sorts of thoughts. She didn't even notice when the nurse stopped, and bumped into her back.
"Sorry, I was lost in thought," Nora apologized.
The nurse said understandingly, "It's okay, it's normal for family members to worry about patients. This is the operating room, you can wait here. Dr. Rhys is very skilled. Don't worry."
Before the nurse finished speaking, Nora walked straight to the operating room door and knocked on it.
