Chapter 394: All of Nora's Things Were Thrown Away

Isaac replied flatly, "I'm swamped with work, I don't have time to go home."

Sylvie's face was cold, "Do you think I'm gullible?"

Isaac was even colder, "Do you think I'm an idiot? You expect me to believe my son got hurt like that by accident?"

Sylvie felt a flicker of guilt but still stubbornly insisted, "It really was an accident."

Isaac sneered.

Sylvie immediately changed the subject, "Fine, if you're too busy with work, let's drop it for now. But no matter how hectic things get, you must make time to spend with Amara."

Isaac uttered indifferently, "We'll talk about whether to continue the cooperation after my son wakes up."

Sylvie's heart sank instantly.

She had just heard what Rhys said, that the electric shock might cause brain damage.

If Barrett really became mentally impaired, he would be of no use to Isaac, and he wouldn't continue to deal with her for a useless person.

Liora, that fool, really caused her a big trouble!

Isaac didn't continue talking to Sylvie.

He went to the ICU to check on Barrett, left Rhys to observe the situation, and then left the Hansen Mansion himself.

He didn't leave Viridonia immediately but didn't want to stay at the Hansen Mansion either, so he stayed at a hotel outside.

Barrett was still in danger, and he couldn't leave with peace of mind.

He was afraid that if something happened to Barrett, he wouldn't even get to see him one last time.

Isaac stayed in Viridonia for three days before Barrett finally woke up.

He went to see Barrett and found that Barrett's reactions were somewhat slow.

When Barrett saw him, he had a confused and unfamiliar expression.

Rhys explained, "His brain is still a bit affected, he's likely experiencing temporary amnesia. Fortunately, he hasn't suffered any lasting mental impairment."

Isaac frowned, "Likely?"

Rhys touched his nose, "He can't speak, so we can't confirm anything directly. He also can't write anything too complex, so we can't ask him in writing. We can only judge by his reactions."

"After he woke up, he looked confused when he saw anyone, and he seemed unfamiliar with me. That's why I think he's dealing with amnesia."

Isaac was silent for a moment before saying, "Amnesia isn't all bad, forgetting those hurtful memories will make him feel better."

Rhys sighed lightly.

Even adults would have nightmares from those experiences, let alone a three-year-old child.

Forgetting was good.

Rhys said, "His condition has stabilized, I'll stay for a few more days to observe, you can go back."

"My assistant is watching over the estate, and I'll rush over when the next surgery is needed."

Isaac nodded, "Alright, contact me if there are any problems."

"Will do," Rhys replied.

Isaac looked down at Barrett lying on the hospital bed, who was looking at him with a confused expression. He gently rubbed Barrett's head and spoke softly, "Daddy is leaving, I'll come see you next time, take care and get well."

He restrained his reluctance and withdrew his hand.

But just as he was about to turn and leave, he suddenly felt something tugging at his clothes.

Looking down, he saw that it was Barrett holding onto his clothes.

Barrett still had an IV in his hand, and moving like this caused some backflow.

Rhys quickly removed Barrett's hand, "Be careful, don't move around."

looked into Barrett's eyes and saw the reluctance in them.

His eyes seemed to be silently pleading for Isaac to stay.

Even with amnesia, Barrett could still feel a sense of security and warmth from Isaac.

He wanted his company.

Isaac hardened his heart and turned to leave.

Barrett tried to get up but was pressed back onto the bed by Rhys.

"Magnus, be good, I'm here with you, it's okay."

Barrett's eyes were red as he watched Isaac's back, and tears streamed down his face.

After leaving the Hansen Mansion, Isaac immediately arranged for someone to investigate the real cause of Barrett's injury.

Since Barrett was injured at the Hansen Mansion, it was difficult to investigate, so he had to bribe the Hansen family's servants to find out the truth from them.

But even that might not yield results.

After returning to Aridonia, Isaac went back to his villa.

As soon as Kieran and the servants saw him, they surrounded him with tears of joy, "Mr. Porter, you're finally back!"

Isaac glanced at the furnishings in the house and the few unfamiliar servants, and his brows furrowed.

"Why has the house turned into this?" Isaac asked.

Kieran explaind, "Ms. Hansen made the changes. She said she didn't like the previous style, said it lacked taste."

"Ever since you brought her back half a couple of weeks ago, she started changing everything. We tried to stop her, and we couldn't reach you."

"We didn't dare to intervene so we could only watch her change the villa like this."

"When we didn't help, she brought in her own people."

Isaac's expression darkened.

"And..." Kieran hesitated.

Isaac's tone turned cold, "If there's something on your mind, just say it. No need to dance around it."

Kieran cautiously continued, "Ms. Hansen found women's clothes and items in your room, and she threw them all out."

Isaac's face darkened instantly.

He quickly went upstairs and entered the room.

As soon as he opened the door, he smelled a pungent fragrance.

Someone had placed heavily scented incense in the room.

The style of the room had also completely changed.

The curtains were replaced with pink ones.

The bed sheets and covers were also all changed to pink.

Isaac went to open the wardrobe, and half of it still had his clothes, while the other half had women's clothes, but they weren't Nora's.

Isaac turned to Kieran, "Who allowed her stay in my room?"

Kieran replied, "I tried to persuade Ms. Hansen, but she wouldn't hear it. She insisted she moved in to live with you, and naturally, you should sleep together."

"She also asked me to contact you, she wanted to tell you herself, but we couldn't reach you."

So, Amara took advantage of the fact that they couldn't contact Isaac and moved in on her own, throwing out all of Nora's things.

Because Isaac had instructed them to take good care of her when he brought her back, they didn't dare to be rough with her and could only let her do as she pleased.

Isaac coldly ordered, "Get rid of all her stuff, disinfect the room thoroughly, and put it back to how it was."

"Change the lock, and give the key to Wesley. If it needs cleaning, have Wesley handle it."

Kieran nodded quickly, "Yes, I'll arrange for someone to restore the room right away!"

Isaac turned and went to the study.

In the evening, Amara came back from outside and found that she couldn't open the master bedroom door, and she angrily shouted, "Kieran? Get up here!"

After a few minutes, Kieran came upstairs and politely asked, "Ms. Hansen, is there something you need?"

Amara pointed at the door, "Why can't I open this door?"

Kieran answered, "The lock was changed this afternoon. Ms. Hansen, you can no longer enter this room."

Amara slapped Kieran across the face.
