Chapter 319 They Slept Together
Nora's heart was already in turmoil, staring blankly at Isaac with a very complicated feeling. "Are you really willing to give up your own child?" She asked in a trembling voice, "You don't have your own child, and you want to raise someone else's. Can you really accept that?"
Isaac tightly gripped her hand, his deep eyes reflecting her image, as if his entire world consisted only of her. "As long as you're with me, that's enough. Even if we don't have our own child, I don't care. All I've ever wanted is you."
Nora felt her heart start to race uncontrollably. She didn't dare to meet his gaze, hurriedly looking away. She then took a deep breath. "You can't tell anyone that the kids are your children. You have to say they are your niece and nephew from your cousin."
Isaac asked in confusion, "Why not? I promise you, I won't treat them badly just because they're not my biological children. I will raise them well and not let them suffer. Don't you trust me?"
Nora shook her head and she trusted Isaac. But she couldn't let Magnus and Soren be in a dangerous situation. "Anyway, I don't want others to think that the kids are our children. If you agree to let them return as your niece and nephew, I'll bring them back with you. If you don't agree, then I'll continue living with them outside."
A trace of hurt flashed in Isaac's eyes.
He thought, 'Did she not want others to think the kids were their children because she thought he wasn't fit to be their father?'
Isaac suppressed the pain in his heart and said bitterly, "Got it, since you don't want them to be my children, I'll listen to you."
Nora's lips moved, but she didn't know how to explain. She was just trying to protect the kids.
Isaac stood up and said, "I'll go make arrangements first and come back to pick you up later."
Nora nodded.
In the afternoon, Isaac came to pick them up.
Nora took the two children and followed Isaac.
When they returned to the villa, Nora found that Edmund was also there.
"Grandpa, when did you get discharged? Are you feeling better?" Nora quickly walked up to Edmund and supported him.
Edmund smiled and said, "I was discharged a few days ago. I didn't want you to worry, so I asked Isaac not to tell you." His gaze fell on the kids. "Magnus, Soren, come here. I haven't seen you in so long. I've missed you so much!"
Soren ran up to him with her short legs and sweetly said, "I missed you too!"
Edmund's face was full of smiles. "Good girl!" Then, he looked lovingly at the awkward-looking Magnus. "Magnus, I don't blame you. Don't be afraid, and don't take it to heart."
Magnus remained silent, his face expressionless.
Nora apologized, "I'm sorry, Magnus he..."
Edmund waved his hand. "It's okay, I know he lacks a sense of security. I don't blame him, and you shouldn't feel guilty."
Nora felt even more guilty.
The servants had already prepared dinner.
Edmund stayed and had dinner with them, and then Isaac arranged for someone to take him back.
Isaac had prepared a children's room and a playroom on the second floor.
Because Magnus and Soren were currently having conflicts and Magnus's emotions were still unstable, their rooms were separated.
In the evening, when Nora took Soren to her room, she was moved by the warm and luxurious decor.
A pink princess room was every girl's dream, and she still liked it even now. There were many stuffed animals on the bed, adding a sense of security.
"Mommy, I'm scared. I don't dare to sleep alone." Soren clung to Nora and looked at her with pleading eyes. "Mommy, can you stay with me and sleep here?"
Before Nora could say anything, Isaac said, "You're already a big girl. You need to be brave and try to sleep on your own."
Soren pouted, looking unhappy.
Isaac said, "You're so cute, you must be brave too. Only children who are both cute and brave are good children and will be liked by more people."
Soren immediately puffed out her chest. "I'm very brave! I'll sleep by myself, I don't need you to stay!"
Isaac smiled. "You're amazing."
Nora's mouth twitched that Isaac even tricked a child.
They then stayed in the room with Soren, coaxing her to sleep before leaving the room.
After leaving Soren's room, Nora went to Magnus's room and saw that he had already fallen asleep, but he was curled up into a ball, looking extremely insecure.
She touched his forehead with a pained expression and she stayed for a while before going upstairs with Isaac.
Isaac followed her into the same room. And Nora turned around and looked at him silently.
Isaac said righteously, "We are married. It's normal for couples to sleep in the same room. Besides, only the bed in this room is good, others are broken."
Nora was speechless.
What a flimsy excuse.
But she didn't end up kicking him out.She then found some clothes and went to take a shower.
When she came out, Isaac had also finished showering.
Nora lay down on the bed, and he followed suit.
After the lights were off, Nora closed her eyes, trying to fall asleep.
But Isaac slowly moved closer to her. Seeing that Nora didn't react, he gently lifted her head, placed his arm under it, and wrapped his other arm around her waist, holding her tightly.
Isaac's warm body heat seeped through the thin fabric of Nora's pajamas, making her face flush and her heart race.
The next second, Isaac's kiss landed on her earlobe. And kisses trailed from her earlobe to her lips.
