Chapter 296 Magnus Got Hit by a Car

Magnus replied impatiently, "Haven't you already decided that I did it on purpose? Why are you still asking me?"

"What kind of attitude is that?" Nora's face changed with anger. "You did something wrong and won't admit it. When I ask you a few questions, you get mad? Edmund is still lying in the hospital, not out of danger yet, and you don't even feel a bit of remorse! Magnus, how did you become like this? I don't even recognize you anymore!"

Magnus clenched his little fists and said angrily, "You never taught me, so what right do you have to blame me? If anyone's to blame, it should be you!"

Nora suddenly felt a suffocating sense of breathlessness. It was right that she hadn't taught Magnus well.

She said, "Yes, I should take responsibility for this, but it was you made mistakes, and you need to take it too. You stay here and reflect on yourself. If you don't realize your mistakes, you'll stay in here until you do!"

She then walked out of the room, locking the door with a key. After it, she leaned against the door, tears silently streaming down her face. She felt like a failure, unable to even educate her child properly.

Then, she took Soren out.

"Mommy, aren't we taking Magnus with us?" Soren stopped at the door and looked back at the closed guest room door. She knew Nora had locked Magnus in that room.

Nora's eyes darkened as she said, "Let him reflect at home. I'll take you out first."

Soren hesitated. In the end, she didn't plead for Magnus.

Magnus had done something wrong and showed no remorse. He indeed needed to reflect, otherwise, he would never realize his mistakes and would repeat them.

Nora took Soren to the art studio and asked Sophia to look after her. Then, she went to the hospital.

When she arrived at the hospital, Edmund had already been moved to the ICU.

Isaac had just come out of the ward.

"How is Grandpa?" Nora asked Isaac softly.

Isaac looked at her with deep eyes.

No matter how much he loved her, her son had almost killed his grandfather, and he couldn't completely let it go.

"How do you plan to punish Magnus?" He asked coldly.

Because of her, he had suppressed his anger and murderous intent and hadn't laid a hand on Magnus. But that didn't mean he didn't want to hold him accountable.

Nora said, "He's still a child, not old enough to bear the consequences, but if you want revenge, I can take his place!"

Isaac's eyes were bloodshot, and he said furiously, "Revenge on you? You think just because I like you, I won't do anything to you, so you dare to say such things in front of me!"

Nora didn't know how to respond. She wasn't saying this because she relied on his affection but was just taking on a mother's responsibility.

"Nora, you've let Grandpa down. If he doesn't wake up, you'll owe him for the rest of your life!" After saying this, Isaac left with a stern face.

He couldn't face Nora calmly right now and was afraid that he would take his anger out on her.

Nora covered her mouth, crying uncontrollably.

It was right that she owed Edmund too much, more than she could ever repay.

She stayed outside the ward, looking at Edmund through the glass window. The more she looked, the more it hurt.

Edmund liked Magnus so much. After being deliberately pushed by Magnus, how hurt must he be?

She kept saying sorry. But in the face of such severe harm, no amount of apologies could make up for it.

She then went to find Rhys to understand Edmund's condition.

Rhys said he could only prescribe medication and use electric shocks to break up the blood clots, allowing them to be naturally expelled.

If it were a young person, it would be 100% effective. But Edmund was too old, and they couldn't use strong electric shocks. Relying solely on medication would be less effective, but it was still effective.

After repeatedly confirming that Edmund had a high chance of waking up, Nora finally felt relieved.

But Rhys also said that Edmund's age and the repeated accidents in recent months had severely damaged his body. Even if he woke up, he wouldn't be as healthy as before.

Nora felt a pang of sorrow. She had caused Edmund suffered twice.

In the evening, she received a call from Sophia, which was to ask when Nora would pick up Soren.

Nora wanted to stay by Edmund's side. But she couldn't neglect the kids.

Then she pulled herself together to pick up Soren. And she didn't feel like cooking, so she bought some food on the way back.

When she got home, she found the key to opened the door to check on Magnus. But when she opened the door, she found that Magnus was gone! She didn't know when and how he had left the room. She immediately ran out to search the house. But she couldn't find Magnus anywhere in the house!

"Mommy, what are you looking for?" Soren asked.

Nora said in a deep voice, "Magnus is missing. You eat first, I need to call the police." She forced herself to stay calm, and was about to dial 911.

However, at that moment, her phone rang.

It was Wesley calling.

Nora had to answer the call.

Wesley's voice came through the phone, sounding complicated. "Mrs. Porter, you need to come to the hospital. The child who pushed Mr. Edmund Porter was hit by a car and is now in the hospital being resuscitated."
