Chapter 480: There shouldn't be any major problems, right?

The kindergarten principal nodded quickly, "Mr. Porter, rest assured. When I checked Magnus's surveillance footage, I also checked Soren's. Soren is doing just fine—full of energy and completely normal."

Isaac said in a deep voice, "Alright, I'll take Magnus to the hospital first."

He walked over to Magnus and picked him up.

Nora followed, her face full of anxiety, worriedly observing Magnus's condition.

Magnus looked normal on the outside, with no visible issues.

Isaac carried Magnus out, and Nora followed.

The kindergarten principal personally escorted them to the school gate, and after seeing them drive away, he returned to the school and sent Isaac the surveillance footage of Magnus secretly hiding and wiping his nosebleeds.

The video was a bit long.

To clear the school of any blame, he edited the footage to capture the whole sequence: Magnus hiding, cleaning up his nosebleed, and then strolling back to class like nothing had happened.

This way, even if responsibility was pursued, the school would only be blamed for not being attentive enough.

In the car, Isaac held Magnus on his lap, and Nora sat beside them, holding Magnus's small hand and worriedly asking, "Magnus, why didn't you tell us if you were feeling unwell?"

Magnus hung his head like he had done something wrong and said softly, "I'm sorry, Daddy and Mommy, for making you worry and disturbing your trip."

Nora's heart ached, and she sighed, "I'm not blaming you. I'm concerned about your health. If you hide it from us to avoid worrying us, and if something serious happens, we will be even more worried."

"You are my child. No matter what happens to you, I will never think of it as a bother or blame you for disturbing me. The more you rely on me, the happier I will be."

Magnus still kept his head down, clutching his clothes tightly with his small hands.

His voice choked with sobs, "But I just got better not long ago. If I get sick again, you will worry. I don't want you to worry or be tired and cry because of me."

He remembered that when he was injured, Nora often cried, and Isaac stayed with him all night whenever he had time.

During that time, his parents looked so exhausted.

He had always been a burden to his parents.

So he didn't want to make them worry about him anymore.

Magnus's tears fell, "I'm sorry, Mommy. I'm so useless. I didn't want to have nosebleeds, but it wouldn't listen. The more I tried to stop it, the more it bled. I was so scared."

Nora's nose suddenly tingled, and tears welled up in her eyes.

"Magnus, you're so silly. But if you're sick and hide it from us, the longer it drags on, the more serious it will get, and we will be even more worried, and you will suffer."

"I know that when you're sick, we worry and have to run around, but as long as you can recover, I will only feel relieved and happy, not blame you."

"Don't overthink things. My love for you is unconditional and not a bother. No matter what I do for you, I won't feel tired or complain. I just want you and Soren to be well."

Magnus's tears flowed even more, and he lay in Isaac's arms, crying with his body shaking.

Isaac gently patted his back and said in a deep voice, "I feel the same. I hope you can tell us if anything happens. We are happy to face difficulties with you."

Magnus cried softly but said nothing.

Nora and Isaac didn't say anything more.

Educating a child wasn't something to do at this moment.

Taking him to see a doctor was the most important thing now.

The car sped along and soon arrived at the hospital.

Isaac had contacted Rhys when they got off the plane, asking him to wait at the hospital.

After arriving at the hospital, they immediately handed Magnus over to Rhys.

"What's going on?" Rhys asked, puzzled, as he took Magnus.

Isaac had only told him to come to the hospital, saying Magnus needed to see a doctor, but didn't explain the details.

Isaac replied, "Magnus has been having frequent nosebleeds for the past month. The kindergarten's surveillance caught it happening over a dozen times. Please check him and find out the cause."

Rhys's face instantly became serious.

A child suddenly starting to have frequent nosebleeds was not a good sign.

He immediately placed Magnus on a chair, had him tilt his head back, and checked his nostrils.

After doing some simple checks, his face became even more serious.

"Have you found the cause? What's wrong with Magnus?" Nora asked worriedly.

Rhys answered, "I'll take him for a blood test for further examination. Please wait here."

Without waiting for Nora and Isaac to speak, Rhys picked up Magnus and hurried away.

Nora, not feeling reassured, quickly followed them.

Rhys had someone draw Magnus's blood, then handed Magnus back to Nora and personally took Magnus's blood for testing.

Nora held Magnus and returned to Rhys's office, anxiously waiting.

Isaac patted Nora's shoulder and comforted her in a deep voice, "Don't worry too much. Everything will be fine."

Nora forced a smile that looked worse than crying.

Magnus kept his lips tightly pressed together, feeling like he had done something wrong and not daring to speak.

Although Nora said she didn't blame him, he still felt that he had made his parents worry, and it was his fault.

Why was he so useless and had to get sick?

No wonder his parents didn't want him back then. Soren was much better than him.

If he were the real Magnus, he wouldn't be so useless, always getting hurt or sick, making his parents worry.

He really didn't deserve to be loved.

He was a troublesome child, and it was normal to be abandoned.

The more Magnus thought about it, the more upset he became, hanging his small head low, enveloped in a gloomy aura.

The three of them stayed in the office, each lost in their thoughts, not speaking.

After nearly three hours, Rhys finally returned to the office with a serious expression.

"Why did it take so long? Isn't a blood test quick?" Isaac asked, frowning.

Rhys glanced at Isaac, his face grave.

He walked behind his desk, sat down, and rested his hands under his chin, his brows knitting together and then relaxing every so often as he lost himself in thought.

Seeing him like this, Isaac realized the seriousness of the situation and became very worried.

Could it be that Magnus had a serious problem?
