Chapter 489: Can't You Just Stop Messing Around?
"Mr. Porter is indeed very considerate," Mark said with a smile.
Mark hesitated for a moment, then asked softly, "Mr. Porter, is Ms. Hansen carrying your child?"
If it wasn't Isaac's baby, Isaac wouldn't be so cautious in protecting her, even bringing her back to this villa to enjoy the security and medical resources here.
But he found it very unbelievable.
No matter how he thought about it, he couldn't understand how Isaac could have a baby with someone else.
He hoped he was wrong.
If Isaac really had a baby with Amara, what about Nora?
He still hoped that Isaac and Nora would be together.
Although Amara wasn't as sinister and terrifying as Liora, she could still cause a lot of trouble.
When she and Liora first moved in, the servants in the villa were tormented by them.
"You're meddling too much," Isaac said coldly, glancing at Mark.
"Sorry," Mark said, lowering his head guiltily, not daring to ask more.
Isaac went upstairs and found Magnus in the bedroom.
Magnus's health had improved a lot, but he still didn't like going out and preferred staying in his room.
Isaac picked up Magnus, who was playing with toys on the floor.
Magnus blinked his big eyes at him, his gaze bright and clearly showing his happiness at seeing Isaac.
Isaac put away his hostility, showing a gentle smile, and kissed Magnus on the cheek.
Since Magnus couldn't hear, there was no need to say anything; just silently accompanying him was enough.
Magnus sat in his arms, not even wanting to play with his toys anymore.
Isaac stayed with him for two or three hours before handing him over to the servants and going downstairs to leave the villa.
"Isaac!"
As he reached the second floor, Amara suddenly poked her head out of a room and called out loudly.
Isaac stopped and looked at her expressionlessly, "What's up?"
Amara asked, "It's so late, where are you going, Isaac?"
Isaac said, "Mind your own business."
Amara's face stiffened for a moment.
Isaac was too cold to her.
But it didn't matter; now that she was carrying his baby, they would have plenty of opportunities to interact in the future, and she could slowly make him fall in love with her.
Isaac was just cold to her, not that he disliked her, so she had a good chance!
Amara showed a sweet smile, "Isaac, you misunderstood. I didn't mean to meddle; I was just worried that going out so late would affect your rest."
Isaac didn't answer, instead asking her, "Anything else? If not, I'm leaving."
Amara bit her lip, "You haven't removed me from your WhatsApp blacklist yet, and my phone number is still blocked. I can't contact you at all."
"Isaac, please remove me from the blacklist so I can inform you immediately if there are any changes with the baby."
Isaac said indifferently, "Okay."
Amara was extremely excited, "Thank you, Isaac!"
Isaac didn't linger any longer and left the villa.
In the car, he took out his phone and removed Amara's WhatsApp and phone number from the blacklist.
As soon as he unblocked Amara, she immediately sent a message.
Amara: [Thank you, Isaac. I can finally chat with you again.]
[Isaac, don't stay out too late. You have to work hard during the day, so you need to rest well at night. Otherwise, your body just won't keep up.]
[Isaac...]
Isaac found it annoying and set her messages to "Do Not Disturb."
Isaac drove to Nora's neighborhood.
When he quietly opened the door and went inside, the house was already dark.
Nora had already gone to bed with Magnus and Soren.
Isaac took a shower in the outside bathroom and quietly returned to the room.
He lay down next to Magnus, gently touching his little head, silently saying in his heart, "Magnus, I won't give up any chance to save you, even if it means hurting your mommy."
Isaac then looked at Nora, moving his hand to her face, gently touching her soft cheek.
Nora had just fallen asleep and wasn't sleeping deeply. Feeling someone touching her, she immediately woke up.
Nora opened her eyes and grabbed the hand on her face.
The light was too dim to see the person clearly, but holding the hand, she could tell it was Isaac's.
"I thought you weren't coming back," Nora said in a hoarse voice.
Isaac replied softly, "I didn't plan to, but I wanted to see you, Magnus, and Soren, so I came back."
"Sorry for disturbing your rest."
Nora said, "I just lay down not long ago, so it's not really a disturbance."
"Did you have dinner at the company?"
Isaac said softly, "Yes."
His stomach growled loudly.
Nora couldn't help but laugh softly.
She gently pushed Isaac, saying, "Get up, I'll go with you to eat something. You can't sleep on an empty stomach."
Isaac didn't refuse, pulling her up with him.
They changed clothes and quietly left the house.
Before leaving, they locked the door to prevent Magnus and Soren from waking up and wandering out to find them.
They found a barbecue place near the neighborhood and ordered a large plate of barbecue. Nora also ordered two cans of beer.
Isaac advised, "Don't drink, it's bad for your health."
Nora looked up and glanced at him, "You always go drinking with Harold. Don't think I'm oblivious to it. I thought you believed drinking was good for your health. So you do realize it's actually not great for you."
Isaac laughed, "That was before. I haven't gone drinking with him for a long time."
Before, because of Nora's betrayal, he couldn't think straight and was always troubled, so he would go drinking with Harold to drown his sorrows.
But since reconciling with Nora, he rarely went drinking with Harold.
Even when Harold invited him, he often declined.
Nora snorted, "I'm happy today, so a little drink won't hurt. It's not like I drink often."
Isaac didn't want to ruin her good mood, so he didn't stop her.
It was just beer; as long as it was not a daily habit, an occasional drink wasn't a big deal.
Isaac also opened a can of beer to drink with Nora.
They ate barbecue and drank beer together.
Nora took a big gulp of beer, burped, and couldn't help but say, "What is God trying to do? Always tormenting Magnus and Soren, giving them a glimmer of hope only to snatch it away and leave us all on edge. Can't God just cut the games and let Magnus and Soren grow up in peace?"
