Chapter 449: Do You Really Have to Force Me Like This?
Nora's eyes widened in shock.
How could Isaac kiss her?
They were already divorced!
The key point was, he had two fiancées.
Although he said those two women had moved out, and later he denied they were his fiancées.
But she didn't believe it!
The day she went home and ran into them, they both said they were his fiancées, and he didn't deny it.
He must be lying when he said they weren't his fiancées behind their backs!
Nora was furious and pushed Isaac away forcefully.
She slapped Isaac across the face.
Her eyes reddened as she glared at Isaac, "Bastard, you have fiancées and still kiss me, it's disgusting!"
Isaac covered his face, looking aggrieved, "I don't have a fiancée, I only have a wife, and that's you."
Nora sneered, "Then who are those two women living in your house?"
Isaac opened his mouth, "They..."
Nora interrupted him, "Forget it. Now that they're not here, you can lie all you want, no one can refute you anyway."
"But no matter how you lie, I won't believe you!"
"When I met them at your house, you didn't explain on the spot. Any explanation afterward is meaningless!"
Isaac's expression darkened.
He couldn't explain at that time.
Nora warned him coldly, "If you dare kiss me again, I'll break your mouth!"
Isaac said softly, "Did you forget something?"
Nora frowned in confusion.
Isaac continued, "We made a bet, you lost to me, and you promised to call me honey and give me a goodnight kiss every day."
Nora's mouth twitched, her face embarrassed.
She had really forgotten.
Isaac's voice was filled with resentment, "You haven't kept your promise for so long, I didn't hold it against you. Now I'm just fulfilling the agreement, and you hit and scold me. You really have no conscience."
Nora was silent.
She bit her lip and said angrily, "Just consider me a cheat, I won't keep the promise, what can you do about it?"
After all, she hadn't sworn an oath for those two bets.
Breaking the promise was at most unethical.
Isaac chuckled, "How could I bear to do anything to you?"
"Go to sleep, I'll leave."
Nora grabbed his sleeve.
"What's wrong?" Isaac looked at her hand and asked in confusion.
Nora said, "It's too late, leave in the morning."
After a moment, she added, "You can sleep with us, but you're not allowed to secretly take the kids off the bed in the middle of the night!"
Isaac chuckled, "Okay."
After taking a shower, he changed into pajamas.
When he returned to the room, Nora was already asleep on the inside of the bed, with the two kids sleeping in the middle.
Isaac walked to the bed and gently moved the two kids to the outside.
To prevent them from rolling off the bed, Isaac found a quilt and rolled it up to block the edge of the bed.
Then he lay in the middle, gently holding Nora in his arms, and fell asleep contentedly.
The next day, when Nora woke up, she found herself lying in Isaac's arms again, her face flushed with anger.
She shook Isaac awake forcefully and gritted her teeth, "Isaac, explain to me what's going on?"
"What?" Isaac opened his eyes groggily, looking at Nora sleepily, "Explain what?"
Nora said, "Why are you sleeping next to me? And holding me?"
Isaac blinked innocently, "You didn't say I couldn't sleep next to you, and you didn't say I couldn't hold you. You only said I couldn't take the kids off the bed, and look, they're still on the bed."
Nora took a deep breath, suppressing her anger, "Let go of me!"
She was very puzzled, why did he hold her so tightly even when he was asleep?
Didn't his body relax when he was asleep?
Isaac said coquettishly, "Honey, you smell so good and feel so soft, let me hold you a little longer."
He tightened his grip a bit, pulling her closer to feel her softness more clearly.
His body gradually heated up, and primal urges began to surface.
Nora clearly felt the change in his body, her face turning red instantly.
This rogue!
"Let go of me!" she hissed through gritted teeth, "If you keep this up, I won't let you sleep with us anymore!"
Isaac reluctantly let her go.
Nora immediately left his embrace and got out of bed.
Magnus and Soren were still sleeping.
They had been pushed to the edge of the bed but luckily hadn't fallen off.
Nora went to the bathroom to freshen up, and Isaac got up too.
He made breakfast for Nora and the kids but didn't stay to eat with them and left.
Isaac returned to the villa.
Kieran saw Isaac and immediately approached, "Mr. Porter, you're finally back. Shortly after you left last night, Magnus woke up. He came out to look for you but couldn't find you, so he went back to his room quietly. But he might have been scared and didn't sleep all night."
Isaac's expression darkened, "Why didn't you contact me?"
Kieran said softly, "I saw Magnus wasn't crying or making a fuss, and you were at Mrs. Porter's place. I didn't want to disturb you and Mrs. Porter, so I didn't contact you."
Isaac's face was grim.
He quickly went upstairs to Magnus's room.
When Magnus saw him, he was still very quiet, but there was a bit of light in his eyes, though mixed with unease.
Magnus relied on him but the fear of Isaac disappearing again gnawed at him, stirring up a deep sense of anxiety.
Isaac didn't know how to comfort him.
Magnus couldn't hear, he didn't know sign language, and Magnus only knew a few simple words, unable to express his thoughts.
Now their communication relied entirely on intuition.
Isaac took Magnus downstairs for breakfast, then had Kieran find a mask for Magnus and took him to the office.
After the abuse incident, Magnus became very sensitive and distrustful of others, only feeling safe around Isaac.
Since discovering Magnus's abuse, Isaac had kept him close, except when traveling for work.
At the office building.
Isaac got out of the car with Magnus in his arms.
"Isaac!"
A joyful woman's voice called out.
Isaac looked at the approaching woman, frowning.
"Isaac, long time no see." Amara walked up to Isaac, her face full of excitement, looking at Isaac with admiration and shyness.
Isaac was very cold, "I've already canceled the contract with your family, why are you looking for me?"
Amara replied, "I'm here to thank you. Two months ago, if you hadn't warned me to be prepared, I would have been killed by Liora."
"Because of your warning, I saved my life."
"Isaac, thank you, you're my savior. I want to repay you with my life!"
Isaac said coldly, "If you really want to repay me, the best thing you can do is stay as far away from me as possible. Disappearing from my sight is the best way to repay me."
Amara's smile froze instantly, looking at Isaac in disbelief.
"Isaac, how have you changed? You weren't this cold to me before. You used to care about me so much, why have you changed now?"
Amara was deeply hurt.
Isaac's attitude was something she couldn't accept.
She had always fantasized that Isaac liked her, which was why he warned her about Liora.
She punished Liora for him, avenging his son.
Now that Liora was bedridden, Isaac had his revenge.
After recovering from her injuries, Amara couldn't wait to come to Aridonia to find him.
She didn't expect him to be so cold towards her!
Was it because she hadn't come to see him for too long, and he had changed his mind?
"Isaac, is it because I haven't seen you for too long? Are you angry with me, giving me the cold shoulder as some sort of punishment?"
"I'm sorry, Isaac, I didn't mean to not come to see you for so long."
"That time, I was also injured by Liora, and it took me two months to fully recover."
"After I recovered, I came to find you immediately."
"Isaac, please don't be mad at me, okay?"
Amara pleaded with a face full of hope.
But Isaac's expression remained cold, "I haven't changed. I never liked you or your sister."
"You go, and don't appear in front of me again."
Amara's pupils shrank, looking at Isaac in disbelief, "Isaac, how could you not like me? If you didn't like me, why did you tell me Liora wanted to kill me?"
Isaac replied, "I just didn't want anyone dying in my villa."
He didn't reveal the real reason.
If Amara knew the real reason, she might go crazy and cause unnecessary trouble.
"No, it's not like that. You care about me because you love me." Amara's face turned pale, shaking her head continuously, unwilling to believe Isaac's explanation.
"Isaac, you saved me this time. My life is yours, and so is my body. I'm willing to marry you. Let's get married, okay? You don't have to join the Hansen family; I'll marry into the Porter family!"
"I swear, I'll be good to your son, and I'll help you have many healthy children!"
Amara looked at Isaac with anticipation.
Isaac's eyes showed a trace of annoyance.
He didn't continue to pay attention to Amara and directly had Wesley call someone to escort her out.
He walked into the company with Magnus in his arms.
"Isaac, two months ago, you clearly liked me. Why are you so cold to me now?"
"You said you would marry me once Liora was killed. Now, although Liora is still alive, she's already a cripple and poses no threat to us. Why are you unwilling to fulfill your promise and marry me?"
Amara shouted at Isaac's back.
She couldn't accept Isaac's attitude and this outcome.
This was completely different from her fantasy!
Isaac shouldn't treat her like this.
But Isaac didn't look back.
Amara was driven out of the Porter Group' by the security guards.
Amara sat down on the roadside, trembling with anger.
"Why is this the result?"
"I helped Isaac punish Liora. He should be very happy and grateful to me, but why doesn't he even want to talk to me?"
"Where did it go wrong?"
"That night two months ago, he was so good to me, so concerned about me."
"I came all the way from Minnalora to Aridonia to find him. I won't give up!"
No one could give her an answer.
Amara herself couldn't figure out why.
"Ms. Hansen, you seem to be upset. If Ms. Hansen is willing to tell me your troubles, maybe I can help you solve them."
A gentle man's voice interrupted Amara's thoughts.
Amara looked up to see a black car parked in front of her.
A young, handsome man with a gentle demeanor was sitting in the back seat, looking at her through the window with a warm smile.
"Mortimer?" Amara frowned.
The Radcliffe family was one of the elite families in Horizonia, and people in the circle knew the basic information about these families.
Although Amara hadn't been involved in family business, she had seen information about the Radcliffe family and naturally recognized Mortimer.
Amara looked at Mortimer warily, "What do you mean by that?"
Mortimer said softly, "You want to marry Isaac, right? I can help you."
Amara asked, "What's your motive?"
Mortimer replied, "You don't need to know my motive. You just need to know that I can help you."
"If you're willing to accept my help, get in the car, and we'll find a quiet place to talk."
"If not, just shake your head, and I'll leave immediately. I won't force you."
Amara thought for a moment and got into Mortimer's car.
Now that the agreement with the Hansen family was gone, Isaac didn't even bother to talk to her.
On her own, she wasn't confident she could pursue Isaac.
Having someone to help her was the best option.
After Isaac left, Nora took the two kids to eat the breakfast he had prepared.
Soren ate heartily.
Magnus sat at the table, his stomach growling, but he kept his mouth tightly shut. Even if food was put into his mouth, he would spit it out.
Nora hardened her heart and continued to let him go hungry.
Magnus was just over three years old; she didn't believe he could keep refusing to eat.
She couldn't always indulge him. She had to stand firm so he wouldn't continue to act out and force the adults to compromise.
By noon, Magnus still didn't eat.
In the evening, he refused to eat or take his medicine.
Nora had to use the same tactic as the previous day, waiting until Magnus fell asleep to dissolve the medicine in water and make him drink it.
With the experience from the previous night, she knew what to do, so she didn't contact Isaac.
When Isaac called to ask about the situation, he didn't say he would come over.
On the third day, Magnus still didn't eat anything.
His chubby cheeks visibly thinned, and he looked listless.
Moreover, because of hunger, he couldn't sleep at night, and Nora couldn't find a chance to give him the medicine.
Nora finally panicked.
She couldn't help but tear up and choked, "Magnus, do you have to force me like this?"
Magnus didn't say anything.
They silently confronted each other.
Suddenly, Magnus fell straight backward.
"Magnus?"
