Chapter 65 So She Found Another Man to Complain About Her Problems
Nora suppressed the bitterness in her heart and silently turned to leave.
"Madam, why are you here?"
Nora had hardly taken a few steps when she suddenly ran into Wesley coming towards her.
Wesley looked at her in surprise and then asked, "Are you here to see Isaac, Madam? Shall I go and call him for you?"
"No need to call him. Just help me give him his phone," Nora stopped Wesley.
She took a phone out of her pocket and handed it to Wesley, then continued on her way.
When she helped Isaac change his pants at home earlier, his phone had been left in his pocket and he had forgotten to take it with him.
By the time she found it and wanted to give it to him, he had already left.
She heard that Isaac had come to the hospital to visit Kalista because she had been admitted.
Worried that Isaac might be injured, she came to see what was going on under the pretense of delivering his phone.
Unexpectedly, just as she arrived at Kalista's hospital room, she heard Isaac's words.
Wesley looked at Nora's departing figure and hurriedly entered the hospital room.
"Isaac, you forgot your phone at home. Madam personally brought it to you," Wesley said as he handed Isaac the phone.
Isaac took the phone with a slightly furrowed brow. "Nora came? Where is she?"
Wesley truthfully replied, "I met Madam just now about ten meters away from the hospital room door. She was about to leave, but when she saw me, she handed me your phone to give to you."
Isaac's eyes darkened.
Nora had purposely brought his phone over, but at the door, she did not personally deliver it and intended to leave.
Clearly, she overheard their conversation just now.
"Isaac, did Nora hear our conversation just now? Should I go and apologize to her?" Kalista said sympathetically.
Isaac said, "Take good rest, don't worry about her."
Kalista nodded gently and said, "Alright, since you're already divorced with her, even if she hears it and gets angry, it doesn't matter. You don't have to care about her feelings."
Isaac did not reply.
He had a stern face and turned to walk outside.
Kalista watched Isaac's back and quietly curved her lips.
It seemed that her position in Isaac's heart was higher than Nora's.
Nora walked to the entrance of the hospital.
She was about to wave her hand to stop a taxi.
But as soon as her hand went up, someone suddenly grabbed her wrist from behind.
Nora turned around and saw Isaac's familiar handsome face.
Her eyes darkened for a moment, but her tone was calm, "Let go of me, I want to go back."
"I'm going back too. Let's wait for Wesley to bring the car over and go together," Isaac said softly.
Nora said, "I want to go to my own home. It's not on your way, so I won't go with you."
Isaac said, "You promised me to stay by my side and take care of me until my injury completely heals. Have you forgotten so soon?"
Nora calmly said, "I haven't forgotten, but I've decided to change my mind and don't plan to take care of you anymore."
"You can think of me as an ungrateful person. " Anyway, Isaac didn't have a good impression of her to begin with. She didn't care about having one more accusation in his mind.
"Did you hear my conversation with Kalista just now?" Isaac asked coldly, "Are you angry with me?"
"Yes, I heard it," Nora calmly replied, "but I'm not angry."
Isaac squinted his eyes, clearly not believing her explanation.
If she wasn't angry, why would she suddenly go back on her word?
Nora smiled and said, "I really am not angry, you don't have to doubt."
"And, I don't have the right to be angry with you."
"We have no relationship, so there's no need for me to seek revenge on your behalf."
"Kalista is your fiancée, her mother will be your mother in the future, it's reasonable for you to side with them."
Isaac's face darkened, and the aura around him instantly turned freezing.
Nora used a little force to free her hand from his grip.
Then she hailed a taxi without looking back, got in, told the driver the address, and the car quickly disappeared.
After watching Nora leave, Isaac also went back home.
Just as he finished changing the bandages at home, his phone rang.
"Isaac, something bad happened. We were ordered to release Rita, but shortly after she left, she was kidnapped!" Jonas's voice sounded urgent on the phone.
Jonas was previously in charge of investigating Nora's kidnapping.
After discovering that Rita was responsible, he had her captured and placed under surveillance.
Half an hour ago, he received a message from Wesley saying that Isaac would not hold Rita accountable, so they released her.
Upon receiving the message, he immediately let Rita go.
However, before his men could bring Rita back home, she was forcefully abducted by a group of unidentified people.
"Who did this?" Isaac asked with a frown.
Jonas replied, "It seems to be the Radcliffe family's people."
Isaac's face darkened, and he instantly emitted a chilling aura.
"Mortimer? Huh, I didn't expect him to care so much about Nora. He dares to snatch someone from me, he's asking for death!"
Jonas nervously said, "Isaac, we haven't thoroughly investigated yet. It's just that one of the brothers mentioned that those people appeared to be from the Radcliffe family."
Isaac sternly said, "Investigate immediately!"
Jonas said, "Yes, I'll personally investigate!"
Isaac hung up the phone, gripping his cellphone tightly, his eyes burning with anger.
"No wonder Nora wasn't angry when she heard that I wouldn't hold Rita accountable. Turns out she asked Mortimer to help her seek revenge!"
‘That damn woman, she's even so close with Mortimer.’ Isaac cursed inwardly.
Finding a new boyfriend and getting involved with Mortimer, she really has no self-control.
Isaac picked up his phone and called Jonas, saying coldly, "If we find out that Mortimer is behind this and what he has done to Rita, we'll return it to him tenfold."
After a few seconds of pause, he narrowed his eyes dangerously and continued, "When we find her, don't rush to intervene. Let Rita suffer enough to the point where the kidnappers can be sentenced to life imprisonment or even the death penalty, then save her."
Jonas was shocked and couldn't recover for a long time.
Isaac and Mortimer had been very close since they were young.
At one point, Mortimer was Isaac's best friend.
Four years ago, Isaac and Mortimer's relationship was so close that they were practically inseparable.
Furthermore, Mortimer's grandfather was sworn brothers with Edmund.
But now, Isaac wanted to send Mortimer to prison and even have him sentenced to death.
If this were to become true, the old man would be absolutely furious.
"Alright, I will pass on Isaac's message," Jonas replied respectfully.
About an hour later, Jonas received news about Rita's whereabouts.
Isaac asked for the address and immediately had someone send him there.
