Chapter 437: How Can He Be So Cold-Blooded
Sylvie received Isaac's message just after taking a shower and returning to her room, ready to have sex with Daxton.
Seeing Isaac's message pop up, her face instantly darkened, and all her desire vanished.
Seeing Daxton's face, which bore some resemblance to Isaac's, Sylvie's anger flared even more.
She used to be particularly fond of Daxton's face, and even handed over her bank card for him to manage.
But recently, because of Isaac, she had started to resent Daxton.
Seeing Daxton's face made her want to hit someone.
Sylvie glared at Daxton and gritted her teeth, saying, "You really raised a bastard of a son. The frustration I've endured in my entire life doesn't even come close to what he's put me through recently!"
Daxton hugged her and gently massaged her shoulders. "Calm down, dear. Don't get all worked up. What did that guy do this time?"
Sylvie felt a headache, "Liora and Amara broke some things at his house, and he wants me to cover the bill. Altogether, it's a whopping six hundred million dollars."
"Now he's messaging me again, and it must be about money!"
Daxton suggested, "If it really doesn't work out, just give up on him."
"No way!" Sylvie's voice was firm. "He must marry into the Hansen family!"
"If we don't have a capable person to manage the Hansen family, the family business won't last fifty years!"
She glanced at Daxton with some resentment in her voice, "If you had half the ability of your son, I wouldn't have to endure this to keep him in line!"
Daxton fell silent.
He wasn't cut out for business.
Back in the Porter family, he was supposed to compete for the heir position, but Edmund didn't think highly of him.
After assessing him for a while, Edmund didn't even let him into the company and explicitly forbade him from getting involved in any family matters.
His influence in the company was less than that of an ordinary employee.
Seeing Edmund support his brothers, he was very dissatisfied and even plotted against a few relatives.
Because of this, Edmund beat him half to death.
In a fit of rage, Daxton left the Porter family.
The past was too painful to recall.
While Daxton was lost in thought, Sylvie had already suppressed her anger and opened her phone.
When she saw the content of Isaac's message, her face darkened even more.
Sylvie opened the video inside, and the more she watched, the worse her expression became, her hands trembling with anger.
"These two idiots!"
Along with her anger, she couldn't help but feel worried.
In the video, her two daughters were lying on the ground, their condition unknown.
She only had these two daughters. If something happened to them...
She didn't dare to think about it.
"What happened?" Daxton collected his thoughts and looked at Sylvie's phone.
When he saw the video content, his expression also turned serious.
Sylvie didn't have time to answer Daxton.
She immediately called Isaac back.
Isaac quickly answered the call.
As soon as the call connected, Sylvie screamed, "Isaac, get doctors to treat Liora and Amara right away!"
"If anything happens to them, I won't let you off!"
Isaac calmly voiced, "It’s totally up to you whether they get treated."
Sylvie gritted her teeth and asked, "What do you want?"
Isaac leisurely replied, "Trade your two daughters for my son, and our old deal is off."
"No way!" Sylvie instinctively opposed.
If she let his son go and voided the contract, everything she had done would be in vain.
How could she control Isaac in the future and make him obediently marry into the Hansen family?
After this incident, Isaac would definitely be more careful in guarding his son. He wouldn't let her find another opportunity to capture his son as a hostage to threaten him!
Isaac continued, "If you don't agree, then forget it. If you don't agree, I won't let anyone treat them."
"Of course, I won't stop you from sending people to treat them. I don't get involved in anything illegal."
"But whether they can hold on until your people arrive depends on their own fate."
Sylvie was so furious she felt like she might explode.
It was so late for her to send doctors to treat them now!
Even if she directly contacted a hospital in Aridonia, it would take a lot of time.
Moreover, that's in Aridonia, Isaac's territory. If he played any tricks, the doctors she called wouldn't be able to reach his house.
She didn't believe for a second that he wouldn't do anything illegal!
Sylvie threatened viciously, "If you don't let doctors treat my daughters immediately, I'll have your son killed right now!"
Isaac's voice was a bit casual, "Do whatever you want. You know better than anyone how he is right now. He's deaf and mute, and his health is terrible. He's just a burden to the Porter family; he's a burden."
"If it gets out that I have such a useless son, it'll ruin my reputation, making both me and the Porter family a laughingstock."
Isaac's voice took on a cold, mocking tone, "It's not a bad deal at all to trademy useless son for your two normal daughters."
Sylvie's face changed, and she trembled as she said, "How can you be so heartless? That kid might be hurt, but he's still your son. What kind of father despises his own son?"
Isaac sneered, "Because I've got cold-hearted genes. Isn't it just how I'm wired?"
"Compared to Daxton, I'm still considered kind. At least I tried to save my son, while he only wants me and everyone in the Porter family dead."
Sylvie clenched her fists tightly, unable to speak.
She knew about Daxton killing Isaac's mother and kidnapping Isaac.
It wasn't surprising that Isaac was so heartless.
Besides, for wealthy and powerful families, interests outweighed everything.
Now Magnus was a waste. Even with top resources, he wouldn't improve much.
He couldn't hear or speak, and his ability to receive education would be greatly hindered.
Isaac continued, "I'm still young. If that useless son dies, I can still have many healthy children."
"Do you also want to have a few more?"
Sylvie's face turned ugly with anger.
She was almost fifty years old. How could she still have children?
If she could, she would have had them with Daxton long ago. Why wait until now?
Even if she could still have children, it would take over twenty years for them to grow up.
She couldn't wait that long.
The Hansen family couldn't wait that long either!
Sylvie took a deep breath, trying to stay calm, and said in a low voice, "Isaac, if my daughters die in your villa, you won't be able to escape responsibility. I'll call the police and have you arrested!"
Isaac replied with a faint smile, "I have video evidence showing they were fighting each other. I also immediately called for doctors to diagnose them. All of this is recorded on surveillance."
"But the doctors' skills were limited, and they couldn't save them. That's not on me."
"Even if you call the police, I won't face any punishment. The worst that’ll happen is I'll toss you a few grand for funeral expenses."
