Chapter 170 Have you two slept together?
"Just wait, I won't let you get away with this!" Kalista yelled.
Kalista was fuming, her anger boiling over.
But she was alone and didn't dare confront a tall, strong guy. She could only throw out a threat and then flee in embarrassment.
Steve watched her retreat and coldly said, "Don't bother Nora again, or I'll hit you every time I see you.
"Next time, I won't be so gentle!"
Kalista shivered. His calm tone carried a real threat.
She didn't dare say anything and quickly walked away.
Steve turned to Nora.
Nora looked pale and out of sorts.
Steve felt a pang in his heart.
He stepped forward, hugged her, and said, "That woman loves to stir up trouble. Just ignore her."
Nora snapped back to reality.
She gently pushed Steve away and said, "Thanks for helping, but don't do that again. She'll hold a grudge."
Steve looked at her seriously and said, "I’m not afraid of that. You're my girlfriend now. It's natural for me to help you. Don't feel burdened."
Nora sighed, "You know the truth of our relationship. Why bother?"
Steve replied, "No matter why we started, we're together now."
Nora shook her head. He was too stubborn to argue with. She would just let him be.
She had decided not to continue keeping up the act with Steve. Even if she couldn't end it early, she wouldn't get close to him.
Nora started tidying up the store, preparing to close up shop for the day.
"If you want to eat, hurry up. I'm closing," she said while cleaning.
Steve frowned. "You barely ate. Aren't you going to eat more?"
Nora replied, "I'm full."
Steve's face darkened. "You only had a couple of bites. No wonder you've lost so much weight. You haven't been eating properly."
Nora's eyes flickered. Her weight loss wasn't from eating less but from stomach cancer.
Even when her stomach hurt, she forced herself to eat a bit more. But her body kept losing weight.
With a sick stomach, no matter how much she ate, she couldn't absorb it. It was hard not to lose weight.
Steve suddenly grabbed her wrist and pulled her back to the table. "Eat a little more. Even if you're upset, you need to eat."
Nora frowned. "I said I’m full!"
Steve ignored her. "Are you going to eat by yourself, or do you want me to feed you?"
Nora retorted, "I won't eat!"
Steve chuckled, "Looks like you want me to feed you.
"Alright, I'll grant your wish."
Before Nora could respond, Steve pulled her onto his lap.
The next second, his lips were on hers.
Then, he pinched her jaw, and with a slight force, she reflexively opened her mouth. He took the chance to push a piece of meat into her mouth with his tongue.
After that smooth move, Steve pulled back.
Nora was furious and wanted to spit out the food.
"If you spit it out, I'll chew it up and feed it to you," Steve threatened with a smirk.
Nora froze, glaring at him.
He looked at her calmly, with a teasing smile, silently daring her to spit it out.
Just the thought made her feel nauseous.
She reluctantly chewed and swallowed the meat, then snapped, "You're disgusting!"
"What's disgusting?" Steve smirked. "What's so gross about feeding you?
"When we were kissing, you didn't say it was disgusting."
"Enough, stop talking!" she said frustratedly.
"Alright, I won't say anymore. Let's keep eating."
Steve smiled and brought another piece of vegetable to her mouth.
Nora said sternly, "I'll eat by myself. Let go of me!"
Steve, though reluctant, let go, not wanting to push her too far.
Nora sat back on the couch, eating angrily.
When she finished, Steve let her put down the bowl.
As he cleaned up, Nora quickly tidied the store.
Then she closed up and went home.
Steve followed her all the way.
Back home, Nora started packing.
"Why are you packing? Going on a trip?" Steve asked, puzzled.
Nora said while packing, "I'm staying at a friend's place for a while."
Steve asked, "What friend? Male or female?"
Nora answered, "Male."
Steve's face darkened, and his aura turned cold.
She had few male friends in Aridonia. The closest was Mortimer.
So, she was moving in with Mortimer?
Did they confirm their relationship after spending the night together?
Anger burned in his chest, almost making him breathless.
"Nora, we're dating. What does it mean if you move in with another man?"
Nora said, "I'm morally corrupt, being ambiguous with another man while in a relationship. Satisfied?"
Steve gritted his teeth. "Are you trying to break the contract?"
Nora smirked, "I didn't say I wanted to break the contract. We're still a couple."
"But even normal couples have morally corrupt women like me, right?" she added.
Steve was speechless.
Nora retorted, "If you can't stand it, then leave. I'm not stopping you!"
Steve took a deep breath, suppressing his anger.
He looked at Nora deeply and asked, "The male friend you're moving in with, is your relationship more than just friends?"
"Normal people wouldn't move in with a regular friend of the opposite sex," Nora said as she looked at him coldly.
She knew it was inappropriate to move in with Mortimer.
But the two children were with Mortimer, and she had promised to spend more time with them.
She didn't dare bring the children back alone, fearing Isaac would find out.
The children were safest with Mortimer, under his protection.
Seeing her silence, Steve continued, "Were you with that male friend last night?
"Did you have sex?"
