Chapter 311 He Was Abandoned
Nora met Magnus's gaze and was startled by the hatred in his eyes. She actually saw hatred in the eyes of a three-year-old child? And this child was her biological son! Her heart was pierced sharply. She then took a deep breath, trying to calm herself down.
What does such a young child know about right and wrong?
It's the adults who haven't educated him properly and it's her fault.
Nora forced a smile and said to Magnus, "Magnus, can we talk?"
Magnus sat up from the bed. Then he directly pushed Nora forcefully.
Nora, unprepared, stumbled back a few steps. Fortunately, she reacted quickly and steadied herself in time, otherwise, she would have fallen.
Then Nora looked at Magnus in shock, her lips moved, but no sound came out.
It took a while for her to calm down. And she said seriously, "Magnus, it's wrong to push people. No matter who it is, you can't push them. You're still young and can't take responsibility, but if you don't change, when you grow up and push people around, causing them to get hurt, you'll have to pay and go to jail!"
Magnus, however, seemed not to hear her words, jumped off the bed, and walked out of the room.
"Magnus, where are you going? Did you hear what I said?" Nora followed him.
Magnus still ignored her.
Nora felt a surge of anger. She quickly stepped forward, grabbed Magnus's arm, and forcibly held him back. "Magnus, let's talk. Why are you ignoring me? If you have any complaints about me, just tell me, okay?"
Magnus struggled hard, but he failed it.
Then he started screaming and kicked at Nora. "Let go of me! You abandoned me since I was little, you have no right to control me. I hate you, go to the hell!"
He was very emotional, shouting out all his dissatisfaction. Although he had promised Mortimer to seriously play the role of Magnus. But after all, he was just a three-year-old child, not mature enough. He couldn't hide his inner dissatisfaction like an adult, nor could he fully control his emotions. After spending time with Nora and the others, he became increasingly angry, and his hatred grew stronger.
Besides, his siblings were so happy, and their parents treated them so well. He had never enjoyed this happiness.
Since he could remember, he had always eaten and slept alone, surrounded only by cold servants and bodyguards.
When he was scared, he could only hide under the covers, hugging his pillow tightly, crying helplessly alone. And since taking Magnus's place, the better people treated him, the more jealous he became.
He was also Nora's child, why didn't she want him? Why could Magnus and Soren be so happy? He was so angry that he wanted to destroy all their happiness! If he couldn't have it, they shouldn't have it either!
So he forgot Mortimer's task, he just wanted to destroy everything.
Nora was shocked by it and quickly said, "Who told you that? When did I ever abandon you? Although I spent less time with you before, I swear, I never thought of abandoning you!"
Magnus clenched his fists tightly, thinking she's a big liar. She clearly abandoned him when he was just born, leaving only Magnus and Soren. And he had already been abandoned.
"Magnus, I promise you, I will never abandon you!" Nora squatted down in front of Magnus, seriously promising him.
But the more she said this, the angrier Magnus became. She was very confused, what was wrong with Magnus?
She had little experience with raising children, and her two kids had been well-behaved, so she hardly needed to do anything.
Now that Magnus suddenly had a problem, her mind was in chaos, she didn't know what to do.
She then reached out and hugged Magnus, holding him tightly in her arms, tears uncontrollably falling. "Magnus, what's wrong with you? If you have any concerns, just tell me directly. If it's my fault, I'll change. Please don't be like this, okay?"
Magnus's whole body stiffened, his little face tense.
He thought, 'Mommy's embrace was so warm. But Mommy wanted to hug Magnus, not him. He had stolen Magnus's identity, that's why she was hugging him. Mommy liked Magnus, not him, who was the wild child she abandoned at birth.'
He then suppressed his reluctance and used all his strength to push her away.
"Magnus." Seeing him struggle so hard, Nora was afraid he would hurt himself, so she had to let go.
Magnus immediately turned and ran to the living room, sitting on the floor alone, picking up a toy gun and starting to assemble it.
Nora followed him. But no matter what she said, Magnus ignored her. She felt very disappointed, her eyes growing dimmer.
Originally, she wanted to educate Magnus, wanting him to apologize to Edmund and Soren. But seeing him like this, she couldn't bring herself to say those words.
Looking at Magnus's small back, she felt he was very lonely, curling up into his own protective shell. She felt heartache and quietly stayed by Magnus's side.
Magnus assembled the toy gun, then disassembled it, and reassembled it again. His movements were very skillful, assembling it quickly. It looked very boring, but he kept playing with it over and over again.
Before, he was alone, no one played with him, he only had a toy gun that Mortimer gave him. He would disassemble and reassemble it every day to pass the time.
Even though there were many toys here, when he was in a bad mood, he still only liked the toy gun.
Nora sighed softly and got up to start tidying up the messy house.
After tidying up the living room, she walked into the kitchen and found it full of takeout boxes and garbage.
Because the kitchen exhaust fan was on, the smell hadn't spread out. But when she walked in, she could still smell the unpleasant odor. Her heart sank slightly.
She wondered, 'Had Magnus been eating takeout all this time? Eating takeout was one thing, but why hadn't the garbage been taken out? Were the people outside just watching?'
Nora felt a bit annoyed, walked to the door, opened it, and looked at the bodyguards standing outside.
