Chapter 316 Seeing a Therapist

Soren was hit on the forehead by a toy gun. Although there was no bleeding, her forehead swelled up. And Soren cried so hard that he was gasping for breath.

Magnus heard Soren's words and got so angry that his eyes turned red.

He lunged at Soren, hitting and scratching her. "Why throw me away? Why is it always me? It should be you who gets thrown away. I hate you more. Get lost!" At that moment, his mind was filled with 'throw him away'.

He had been abandoned since he was a child and was very sensitive to the word 'throw away'. Hearing it made him lose control.

Those who were favored since childhood are always selfish, always wanting Nora abandon him.

He hated this sister very much.

In his view, Soren was spoiled, which made her so selfish and vicious, encouraging Nora to throw him away.

Why was it him who was thrown away back then, and not Soren and Magnus?

"Magnus, what are you doing?!" Nora was shocked and immediately pulled Magnus away.

Even after being pulled away, Magnus still swung his hands at Soren, trying to hit her.

"Magnus, stop it!" Nora was furious and pinned Magnus down on her knee, spanking him on the butt.

Magnus struggled angrily. "Let go of me! You have no right to hit me! You want to throw me away! You're a bad person!"

Nora held him down forcefully and scolded, "Stop it and calm down!"

Magnus stopped struggling but was still very angry, his chest heaving violently.

Nora moved him to the side and said sternly, "Calm yourself down." Then she looked at Soren, who was crying heartbrokenly in the corner, and felt a pang of sorrow.

Soren's hair was a mess from being grabbed, and there were some scratches on her face.

"Does it hurt?" Nora held Soren in her arms and asked with concern, "Let me see, where are you hurt?"

Soren assured Nora, crying so hard she could barely breathe.

In just a short while, Nora felt her clothes getting soaked from Soren's tears. And she felt even more heartbroken. It was her fault for reacting too slowly and not stopping Magnus in time.

"Mommy, I'm so scared," Soren said, crying.

Nora gently patted her back. "Don't be afraid, Mommy's here." But her words didn't seem to have much comforting effect for she was there when Magnus hit her.

Magnus said irritably, "Shut up, stop crying, it's so annoying!"

He thought, 'Crying over such a small thing, what's there to cry about? It's not even one percent of the suffering he's been through.'

Soren cried even louder.

Magnus impatiently threatened, "Cry again and I'll pull out your tongue!"

Soren was so scared that she trembled all over, crying even more miserably.

"Magnus, shut up!" Nora's anger surged, and she shouted furiously, glaring at Magnus, "Don't threaten Soren!"

Magnus snorted coldly, turned his head to look out the window, but his eyes reddened with grievance, and tears welled up uncontrollably. He then wiped his tears with the back of his hand, biting his lip hard to hold back the tears.

He pondered, 'He wouldn't cry, even if he did, no one would comfort him or feel sorry for him. No one had ever truly loved him since he was a child. And he had endured so much suffering and grievance, but Mommy never comforted him. He just hit Soren a few times, and Mommy was holding her and comforting her.'

The difference between being loved and not being loved was really big.

He continued thinking, 'Yesterday, he was still longing for Mommy's kindness. But in the end, he couldn't compare to Soren. He was wrong from the beginning. Mommy's tenderness yesterday wasn't for him, but for Magnus.'

He clenched his fists tightly, his nails digging into his palms, using the pain in his palms to numb the pain in his heart.

The car stopped at the hospital entrance.

Isaac took Soren from Nora's arms and said to Nora, "You take him to see the doctor. I'll stay here with Soren."

Soren cried all the way, and she was scared whenever she saw Magnus.

Now they should be separated first, or Soren will be more scared and aggrieved.

Nora nodded. "Got it." She then kissed Soren's cheek tenderly. "Be good and stay with Isaac. I'll be back soon."

Then she held Magnus's hand and walked towards the hospital.

Magnus resisted. "Why are you bringing me here? I don't want to go in."

Nora ignored his objections and forcibly took him inside.

Magnus became even more dissatisfied and even started to resent her.

The psychologist Rhys introduced was named Gregory Morgan. And Nora found Gregory's office according to the address.

Nora knocked on Gregory's office door.

"Come in." Inside the office, a pleasant young man's voice came.

Nora pushed the door and walked in with Magnus. "Mr. Morgan, hello, I was referred by Rhys."

"Ms. Foster, right? Dr. Holt has already told me about your situation. Is this the child who needs the diagnosis?" Gregory smiled, polite but distant.

Nora nodded.

Gregory said, "I understand the situation, but I need to personally examine him to make a judgment. You need to step out for a moment."

Nora nodded. "Got it, I'll wait outside. Thank you." She then let go of Magnus's hand.

After hesitating for a moment, she still offered some comfort, "Don't be afraid. I'll be waiting outside. If anything happens or you feel scared, just call out, and I'll come in to protect you."

Magnus looked at her with red eyes. "Do you think I'm sick?"

Nora didn't know how to answer. But she didn't want to lie to Magnus, so she remained silent.

Gregory stood up and patted Magnus's head. "You're not sick. Your mom just asked me to help with a few questions. Don't overthink it. It'll be over soon."

Magnus slapped his hand away.

Gregory didn't get angry, nodded to Nora, signaling her to leave.

Nora turned and walked out of the office, gently closing the door, waiting anxiously outside.

The office was very quiet.

She couldn't hear anything.

Time passed by slowly. Two hours went by, and no one came out.

Nora was very anxious but didn't dare to barge in, fearing disturbing Gregory's treatment. And She didn't know what Gregory was doing to Magnus.

She pondered, 'Was Magnus's condition very serious? Otherwise, why would it take so long to diagnose?'
