Chapter 442: "My business is none of your concern."
Nora frowned, "What are you talking about? When did I ever forgive Mortimer?"
Isaac said in a sinister tone, "If you haven't forgiven him, why would you secretly go on a date with him?"
Nora looked as if she had heard the biggest joke in the world, her face full of shock and disbelief, "What nonsense are you talking about? How could I possibly secretly go on a date with Mortimer?"
"I haven't even been in contact with him!"
"Are you out of your mind? Mortimer hurt Magnus, I can't even be friends with him, how could I possibly go on a date with him?"
"Did you run into him in Aridonia, lose an argument with him, and come to me to vent your anger?"
"Or did he casually tell a few lies to provoke you, and you believed them?"
Nora thought the second guess was very likely.
Isaac easily got angry whenever he encountered Mortimer.
If Mortimer casually made up a few lies about her, Isaac would lose his mind with anger.
But if he was angry, he could be angry on his own, why take it out on her?
The more Nora thought about it, the angrier she got. "I suggest you see a psychologist!"
Isaac was also angry, "You call me crazy?"
"I came out of the hospital this morning and saw you with Mortimer!"
"I went up to ask you why you were with Mortimer, but you saw me and ran away guiltily, letting Mortimer's assistant take you away, and Mortimer stopped me from chasing you!"
"After you left, you went straight back to the estate!"
"I had someone check the surveillance along the way and tracked you all the way here!"
"Nora, what else do you have to say?"
Nora frowned, "You said you saw me with Mortimer at the hospital in Aridonia?"
Isaac sneered, "You finally admit it?"
Nora couldn't help but roll her eyes, "I think you're really out of your mind, is this an admission? I'm clearly confused!"
Isaac's mouth twitched with anger.
She still dared to insult him?
Nora explained, "I haven't left the estate, the person you saw with Mortimer couldn't have been me."
"Even if I left the estate, I wouldn't go to see him."
She still felt resentment towards Mortimer, there was no way for her to have a secret date with him.
Isaac must have been mistaken.
Isaac denied her words, "I couldn't have been mistaken, I know you inside out, I couldn't possibly mistake you for someone else!"
Nora laughed angrily, "But I haven't left the estate, you can ask the people in the estate."
"Unless I can clone myself, I couldn't have been in Aridonia at the time you said."
"If you really saw me with Mortimer in the city, either your eyes are playing tricks on you or your brain is."
Isaac's face turned livid with anger.
How could she be so righteous after doing something wrong?
"If you really think I went on a date with Mortimer, just show me the evidence instead of making baseless accusations here."
But the next second, she laughed and mocked, "I almost forgot, we have nothing to do with each other anymore, and you have new fiancées."
"What I do or who I date is none of your business. You have no right to question me, and I owe you no explanations."
"Mr. Porter, your behavior today is out of line, I hope it won't happen again."
After saying this, Nora walked away.
Isaac's face was grim, his eyes dark as he watched her leave.
He instinctively felt that Nora's last words were an indirect admission that she had met with Mortimer, but he had no right to question her!
Isaac kicked the fake mountain beside him hard.
The fake mountain shook.
A crisp sound came from his foot, and a sharp pain hit him.
Because he used too much force, he fractured his toe.
Nora heard the noise, stopped, and turned to him in confusion.
Even though Isaac's face was pale with pain, he stood straight out of pride, as if nothing had happened.
Seeing that he was fine, Nora continued leaving.
After Nora walked away, he trembled as he squatted down, sat on a nearby rock, and his body shook with pain.
Isaac endured the pain and called Griffin to bring a wheelchair to pick him up.
Griffin asked in shock, "Mr. Porter, what happened to you? Did Mrs. Porter hit you?"
Isaac gritted his teeth, "Shut up, don't mention her in front of me, just come and get me!"
Griffin didn't dare say more, hung up the phone, immediately found a wheelchair, and went to find Isaac.
Isaac was taken to the hospital, and the doctor set his bone.
Fortunately, it was just a dislocated joint, which could be set right without surgery or a cast.
But the injury wasn't light either, requiring a few days of rest without strenuous activity.
Isaac didn't leave immediately.
He was still waiting for Nora to explain to him.
But Nora didn't come to see him.
Even though Griffin deliberately told Nora about his injury, after knowing it was just a toe injury, Nora didn't even come to see him.
He was even angrier.
"This time it's her fault. If she doesn't come to explain, I won't go to her. Whoever gives in first is an idiot!" Isaac said through gritted teeth.
He was so angry that he didn't even eat dinner.
Griffin saw that Isaac was angry but didn't know why.
He quietly called Wesley, "Wesley, what's wrong with Mr. Porter today? Why did he suddenly rush to the estate to find Mrs. Porter?"
"Mr. Porter and Mrs. Porter seemed to have had an argument, but I don't know what they argued about."
"Mr. Porter was so angry that he broke his toe, and he's still sulking."
"I secretly told Mrs. Porter, but she wouldn't come to see Mr. Porter."
"Mr. Porter is so angry that he can't eat, but he won't go back either. He's sitting in the yard, looking at the gate. I can tell he's waiting for Mrs. Porter to come to him."
Griffin rambled on.
Wesley fell silent for a moment before speaking in a deep voice, "This morning, Mr. Porter saw Mrs. Porter with Mortimer at the hospital entrance. He rushed over, but she didn’t even glance at him—just got in the car and left. Mr. Porter then got into a fight with Mortimer."
"What?" Griffin was shocked.
"Mr. Porter is much more handsome and richer than Mortimer. Why can't she be with Mr. Porter and instead get entangled with Mortimer?"
"No wonder Mr. Porter is angry. I feel bad for Mr. Porter!"
Griffin was so involved that his face turned red with anger.
Wesley sighed helplessly, "Actually, you can't blame Mrs. Porter. Mr. Porter brought two women home, and Mrs. Porter caught him. Maybe Mrs. Porter is disappointed in Mr. Porter, which is why she's getting close to Mortimer."
Griffin replied sullenly, "Mr. Porter was forced to do that."
Wesley added, "But Mrs. Porter doesn't know that."
Griffin didn't say anything and hung up the phone.
Worried that Isaac would go hungry, Griffin went to the kitchen to get some food for him.
When Griffin got to the kitchen, he saw the kitchen staff eating pizza with frowns on their faces.
He glanced at the oddly shaped pizzas and asked, "Which chef made this? How did they get hired with this level of skill? Did they have connections?"
The chefs glanced at him and answered gloomily, "Don't talk nonsense. This was made by Mrs. Porter and Miss Soren Foster this morning."
"Miss Soren Foster wanted to make pizza on a whim, so Mrs. Porter brought her to try it. After making it, Miss Soren Foster felt sick and didn't want to eat it. We didn't want to waste it, so we kept it for ourselves."
Griffin was stunned, "This morning?"
Didn't Nora go to the city hospital this morning?
