Chapter 204 Kick Him Out

Isaac smirked, "Man, I've been out all day in these clothes. You really want me crashing in dirty threads? If you're cool with it, I guess I am too."

Nora just stayed quiet.

Without another word, she started helping Isaac strip off his clothes. No way was she letting him mess up her bed with that grime.

Once the dirty clothes were off, she grabbed a set of pajamas for him.

Finally, Isaac climbed into bed with Soren.

Olivia and Ava quickly wiped down Magnus and brought him over to Nora.

Nora placed Magnus on the other side of Isaac.

Then she grabbed her own pajamas and headed to the bathroom to freshen up.

When she came back, Magnus and Soren were already out cold.

Soren's grip on Isaac had loosened, and a gentle tug could easily separate them.

Nora figured it was time to wake Isaac up so he could leave.

"Isaac, wake up." She gave him a nudge.

But Isaac was out like a light.

She pushed harder. "Isaac, wake up!"

Still nothing.

Her voice must've been too loud because the kids started to stir.

Nora clammed up, not wanting to wake them.

She glanced at Isaac, still snoozing, and sighed quietly.

Looked like he was staying the night.

Nora quietly climbed into bed next to Soren.

After a long, exhausting day, she quickly fell asleep.

She slept straight through till morning.

When she woke up, she felt like someone was holding her.

Nora's eyes snapped open, and she found herself in Isaac's arms!

Magnus and Soren had been pushed to the side, almost falling off the bed!

Nora was speechless.

Just then, Isaac opened his eyes.

He looked at her and asked, "When did you crawl into my arms?"

Nora's eyes widened in anger. "I should be asking you that! When did you pull me into your arms?"

Isaac shrugged, "I didn't mean to. I crashed right after lying down and didn't wake up all night."

His look made it seem like she had taken advantage of him.

Nora's face turned red with anger.

At that moment, Soren, still half-asleep, mumbled, "Mommy."

Nora's mind cleared instantly, like a bucket of cold water had been dumped on her.

Before Isaac could say anything, she quickly said, "It's heartbreaking seeing these kids separated from their parents so young. She even dreams about her mom."

Isaac didn't suspect a thing.

It was normal for kids to call for their mom in their sleep.

Nora stopped arguing with Isaac, carefully got out of bed, covered Magnus and Soren with a blanket, and headed to the bathroom to wash up.

When she came out, Isaac was gone.

She looked around but couldn't find him. He'd probably gone back to change clothes.

The kids soon woke up too.

Nora took the kids to the bathroom to help them ditch their masks and freshen up.

Seeing the marks on their faces from wearing those masks all day and night, her heart ached.

But to keep them safe, she had to do that.

Once they were ready and headed to the shop, Isaac was already there, waiting at the door, with a bouquet of red roses.

"Isaac!"

As soon as Magnus and Soren spotted him, they wriggled free from Olivia's arms and dashed towards him, grinning.

Isaac ruffled their little heads.

Then he walked up to Nora and handed her the roses.

Nora hesitated for a moment.

Then she took the flowers and, without a second thought, tossed them into the trash can by the store's entrance.

Isaac's face fell, and his eyes dimmed.

"Nora, why'd you throw away the flowers Isaac gave you? They're so pretty!" Soren asked, all innocent.

Nora replied, "I don't like flowers, and I don't like him giving me flowers."

Soren tilted her head, looking puzzled.

Clearly, she didn't get why Nora didn't like such beautiful flowers.

Nora took a deep breath, looked Isaac in the eye, and said seriously, "Let me be clear, I won't accept you. Don't waste your time on me. I don't love you anymore."

Isaac said, "Then I'll keep trying until you do!"

Nora said firmly, "I will never feel anything for you again. Give up!"

Isaac said, "No, I'll keep trying."

Nora frowned. "Why are you so stubborn?"

Isaac said seriously, "It's not stubbornness. I'm just doing everything I can for someone I love.

"We once loved each other, and you tried for three years to win me back. I don't believe you can just stop loving me."

Nora looked frustrated.

But she couldn't convince Isaac, so she just ignored him.

For the next week, Isaac showed up every day.

He brought her a bouquet of flowers every day.

And every time, Nora tossed them into the trash can.

Realizing Isaac still wasn't giving up, Nora decided to be harsher to make him quit for good.

So, after Isaac finished making lunch that day, he eagerly called Nora to eat.

Seeing the table full of her favorite dishes, she coldly and disdainfully threw all the food into the trash can.

"I'm sick of eating these dishes every day. Just smelling them makes me sick. Don't make them anymore. I'll order takeout. Takeout is way better than your cooking."

As she spoke, she pulled out her phone to order takeout.

Isaac's face showed a hurt expression, and he stood there, stunned.

Magnus and Soren muttered unhappily, "Isaac's cooking is really good."

Nora said coldly, "You like it? Then go back with him. In my place, you can't eat his food!

"If it weren't for you being naughty and always wanting to play with him, I wouldn't let him come in. Do you know how annoyed I am seeing him every day?"

Magnus and Soren were so scared by her fierce look that they shrank their necks and started crying.

Nora, though feeling heartbroken, scolded, "Stop crying!"

But Magnus and Soren cried even louder.

Isaac felt like his heart had been stabbed and mused, 'Does Nora really hate me that much?'
