Chapter 351 Soren Might Have Been Killed
Isaac noticed that Mortimer's gaze had been fixed in them.
He sneered and began serving food to Nora and Magnus.
He even personally fed Magnus, occasionally placing food directly at Nora's mouth for her to eat.
Since Mortimer wanted to watch, Isaac would let him watch to his heart's content.
Mortimer's face remained normal, but his eyes grew cold.
He could tell Isaac was doing it on purpose, but he still fell for it and got affected.
Mortimer continued to observe, feeling irritated.
When he saw Magnus happily accepting Isaac's feeding, he gripped his fork tightly, almost wanting to crush it.
Although Nora was a bit annoyed, she still ate the food Isaac had forked over with his own fork.
They looked like a harmonious family of three.
And Mortimer was the outsider, not even worthy of approaching them.
Mortimer pressed his lips together, filled with resentment.
After all he had done, even using Barrett to replace Magnus, who had caused trouble between them, and Barrett even injured Edmund severely, why were their relationships still so good?
Why didn't Nora leave Isaac?
Why didn't Isaac blame Nora for poor parenting? Why didn't he hate Barrett and kill him to avenge Edmund?
Isaac clearly thought Barrett was Mortimer and Nora's child, so why was he still so tolerant of Barrett?
Did Isaac really love Nora that much?
Loved her enough to accept her having children with another man?
Loved her enough to tolerate her child hurting his most respected grandfather?
Mortimer became increasingly upset thinking about these things.
The deeper Isaac's feelings for Nora, the harder it was to break them apart.
Mortimer found the breakfast tasteless and stopped eating after a few bites.
After the meal, they took Magnus to a family amusement park.
Isaac and Nora played with Magnus, who was all smiles and extremely excited, even forgetting about Mortimer.
Mortimer stood silently watching them, his mind filled with countless thoughts.
Was the bond of blood really that magical?
Whether it was Magnus and Soren, or Barrett.
The three children had spent the most time with him before. Although he didn't like them in his heart, he treated them well on the surface.
Why were they so easily won over by Isaac once they were with him?
Mortimer took a deep breath, suppressing his inner frustration.
He forced a smile and said, feigning sadness, "It seems Magnus doesn't need my accompany anymore. In that case, I'll go back first and not disturb your fun."
With that, Mortimer turned to leave.
Magnus, who had been playing excitedly, seemed suddenly struck by Mortimer's words.
Seeing Mortimer's sad expression, Magnus felt very anxious.
Magnus immediately let go of Isaac's hand, quickly ran to Mortimer, and hugged his leg, saying sweetly, "Mortimer, don't go. I want you to play with me!"
Mortimer looked up at Isaac's dark face, "Aren't you having fun with Isaac? You should continue playing with him."
Magnus wanted to play with Isaac, but he didn't want to make Mortimer angry.
The bodyguard who watched him grow up had said that his second life was given by Mortimer.
He had to be filial to Mortimer, repay Mortimer, be good to Mortimer, not disappoint Mortimer, not make Mortimer angry, and not let Mortimer down.
"I want Mortimer to play with me. I like you!" Magnus said seriously, looking up.
Mortimer asked, "Who do you like more, me or Isaac?"
Magnus said, "I like you more. In this world, I like Mortimer the most!"
Mortimer saved his life and raised him. Without Mortimer, he wouldn't be here now.
Seeing Isaac's face darken further, Mortimer's mood suddenly improved, and he smiled slightly.
Mortimer took Magnus's hand and said gently, "Alright, I'll take you to play."
He secretly gave Magnus a look.
Magnus understood and immediately looked at Nora eagerly, "Mommy, come play with me too!"
Nora nodded.
Isaac's face grew even darker, exuding a cold aura.
Magnus didn't look at him.
He couldn't choose Daddy; Mortimer would be angry.
Although he knew Isaac hadn't abandoned him and loved him too, Mortimer was still the most important in his heart.
Mortimer looked at Isaac and chuckled, "Isaac, let's do as yesterday. Nora and I will take Magnus to play, and you can take Soren."
"By the way, where's Soren? Why didn't I see her with you?"
Isaac's heart sank.
Soren was still missing.
Isaac looked coldly at Mortimer and sneered, "It seems you don't like my wife's child that much. It's been so long, and you just noticed Soren isn't here."
Mortimer's face changed, wanting to explain but finding himself at a loss for words.
No matter what he said, it would sound like an excuse.
Nora tried to smooth things over, "Soren was taken by Edmund. Let's not talk about that now. Today, the three of us will play with Magnus."
Isaac glanced disdainfully at Mortimer and said coldly, "I don't want to see him. Seeing his hypocritical face makes me want to punch him!"
"Daddy, you can't talk about Mortimer like that! Mortimer is very nice!" Magnus defended Mortimer unhappily.
Isaac's face changed dramatically.
His son was defending his rival right in front of him?
He was furious.
Isaac took a deep breath and stopped offending Mortimer.
He looked at Nora and softened his tone, "You play with Magnus. I didn't sleep well last night, so I'll go back to the hotel to have a rest."
Seeing that he indeed didn't look well, Nora didn't insist he stay and nodded, "Alright, go ahead."
Isaac turned and left.
Although he didn't like Mortimer getting close to Nora and Magnus, he knew that in broad daylight, nothing could happen between them.
If Nora wanted something to happen with Mortimer, there were plenty of opportunities, no need to choose such a place.
He trusted Nora.
Isaac didn't go back to the hotel.
After leaving the amusement park, he contacted the police and Wesley.
Unfortunately, neither had found any trace of the traffickers or Soren.
Isaac was anxious and increasingly frustrated.
So much time had passed, the golden rescue time was long gone, and the chances of finding them were getting slimmer.
Isaac shook his head vigorously, trying to stop his wild thoughts.
On the phone, Wesley's voice came through, "Mr. Porter, we, together with the police, thoroughly searched the five towns connected by those five roads, we even went door to door, but found no clues."
"I talked with the police, and they suspect the traffickers didn't go to the towns but hid in some deep mountain with the kidnapped children."
"The police said that children like to cry, and the traffickers might kill the children for their own safety."
