Chapter 152 Magnus Followed Isaac Home
"Where do you play hide and seek?" Nora asked urgently.
Soren pointed to the elevator, "We take the elevator down and play down there."
Mortimer patted Nora's shoulder, comforting her, "Don't worry, I'll send someone to look right away and check the surveillance footage. We will find Magnus."
'Magnus is missing. How could I not be anxious?' Nora thought.
She immediately took Soren downstairs to look for Magnus.
But she searched everywhere Soren pointed out and still couldn't find Magnus.
Nora was frantic, a wave of fear spreading in her heart. 'Could Magnus have encountered human traffickers?' she thought.
Just then, Mortimer came downstairs and found her. "Nora, don't worry. Magnus shouldn't be in any immediate danger." He stopped halfway through his sentence, suddenly frowning, looking like he wanted to say something but hesitated.
Nora asked urgently, "Do you find Magnus? Where is he?"
Mortimer hesitated..
After a few seconds, he took out his phone and showed her a video. "This is the surveillance footage I found."
Nora hurried to watch.
After seeing the footage, her face changed. Her eyes widened in disbelief, filled with panic and helplessness.
"How could this happen?!" Nora was completely stunned.
The footage was taken from the roadside outside the mall.
In the footage, a luxury car with its door open was parked by the roadside.
There was no one in the car.
Then, masked Magnus ran up to the car. After getting in, he crawled over the seats and into the trunk.
Not long after, Isaac got into the car, and it drove away. Magnus was still in the car.
Nora recognized that car.
It was Isaac's car.
She also recognized the people who got in and drove away.
It was Isaac and Wesley.
After watching, Nora felt a chill all over, her body trembling uncontrollably.
Magnus had gotten into Isaac's car and was taken away!
Was God playing a joke on her?
If Isaac had discovered Magnus, Nora couldn't have imagined what would happen.
Nora took a deep breath, forcing herself to calm down."Mortimer, take Soren back home first. I'm going to find Isaac. If Isaac finds out, I'll text you. You must find a way to get Soren away!" Nora said.
If Magnus was discovered, she could only try to protect Soren. She couldn't let both children fall into Isaac's hands.
As for Magnus, she would find another way to rescue him. She would never let Isaac take out his hatred for her on Magnus.
Mortimer didn't want Nora to go to Isaac.
But given the situation, he had no choice but to let her go.
"Alright, be careful. If Isaac finds out Magnus' identity and uses him to threaten you, don't give in. Go to Edmund, he'll support you," Mortimer advised. Nora nodded.
She squatted down, kissed Soren on the forehead, and said seriously, "Soren, go home with Mortimer first. I'll find Magnus. This time, you have to be good and stay with Mortimer. No running off alone, do you understand?"
"Got it, I'll be good. Mommy, please bring Magnus back quickly. I miss him!" Soren said obediently. Nora sighed silently.
Soren seemed obedient but was actually very naughty. Yet, she looked so cute and innocent that Nora couldn't really blame her.
Nora handed Soren to Mortimer and turned to leave.
At the entrance of Isaac's villa, the car slowly stopped.
After parking, Wesley quickly got out of the driver's seat and opened the back door for Isaac.
Isaac got out expressionlessly, exuding a cold aura as he walked towards the villa.
Wesley was about to close the back door when he heard a sound from the trunk.
"What is that?" Curious, Wesley looked towards the trunk.
What he saw left him dumbfounded.
"Why is there a child in the car? When do you get in?" Wesley was stunned. He quickly opened the trunk and took Magnus out.
Seeing the mask on Magnus' face, he reached out to remove it.
But before he could touch the mask, Magnus backed away warily, pressing the mask tightly to his face with both hands, not letting him touch it.
"Don't be afraid. I'm not going to hurt you. I want to understand your situation and help you find your family," Wesley explained hastily.
Magnus was trembling all over.
The unfamiliar environment and people scared him. In fact, he had been scared since the car started.
Magnus was so frightened that he didn't dare move or make a sound, even breathing carefully.
It wasn't until the car stopped that he reacted, trembling uncontrollably, and was discovered. At this moment, Magnus was too scared to speak. Wesley scratched his head in frustration.
He really couldn't understand how a child had mysteriously appeared in the car.
Since Magnus wouldn't speak, he had no choice but to carry him into the villa.
"Mr. Porter, there's an unexpected situation," Wesley said.
Isaac was about to go upstairs but stopped when he heard Wesley's voice.
He turned to look at Wesley, frowning. "What unexpected situation? Where do you find a child?"Isaac darkened his face when he saw Wesley holding a child.
"You've been with me for years. Don't you know I hate children?" Isaac questioned.
Wesley quickly explained, "You misunderstood. I don't find this child. I discover him in the car, the one you just rode back in. I find him in the trunk when I am closing the door!"
Isaac looked surprised.
'How does this child get into the trunk? How do I not notice the child's presence the entire way?' Isaac thought.
Apparently, he hadn't been in the best state recently, not noticing someone hiding in the car.
"Mr. Porter, what should we do with this child?" Wesley asked.
Wesley carried Magnus into the living room and put him on the sofa.
He could have been better at handling children. Magnus was soft all over as if he could be crushed with a little force.
Afraid of accidentally hurting the child, he quickly put him down.
Magnus curled up on the sofa, his small body still trembling.
His initially wary eyes showed surprise and confusion when he saw Isaac's face.
'Why does this sir look so much like me? Could he be Mommy's child too? But he looks older than Mommy. How could Mommy have given birth to him?' Magnus thought.
Isaac looked down at Magnus sitting on the sofa. Small in stature, with a mask on his face, his appearance was unclear.
But his eyes and chin, which were visible, gave Isaac a sense of familiarity.
Moreover, despite his usual dislike for children, he didn't feel any aversion to this child.
Looking into his eyes, Isaac even felt an inexplicable sense of kinship.
Isaac frowned in confusion.
He had encountered two children today, but surprisingly, he didn't feel any dislike for either of them.
'Could it be that my aversion to children has been cured? Or haven't I noticed because I haven't been around children?' Isaac thought.
