Chapter 305 Magnus Accuses Isaac of Murder
Nora noticed Magnus's gaze and followed it to see Isaac.
"Magnus, what's wrong?" She asked softly.
Magnus's look towards Isaac was not very friendly.
Nora felt a bit uncomfortable. She had just started to clear up her misunderstanding with Isaac, but Magnus was full of hostility towards him.
Isaac's face didn't look good either. Even if he didn't hold Magnus responsible for pushing Edmund, who was still unconscious.
It was impossible for him to have no resentment towards Magnus. Magnus had done something wrong and still showed such hostility towards him, which made him even more upset.
If it weren't for Nora, he wouldn't have been so patient with Magnus. He could tolerate it before.
But now, Magnus was becoming more and more annoying.
Isaac suppressed his anger and coldly stared back at Magnus. He had done nothing wrong to Magnus, so he felt no guilt. The one who should feel guilty was Magnus.
But clearly, Magnus didn't feel guilty at all that his hostility towards Isaac was immense.
"Mommy," he weakly said.
Nora immediately sat by the bed, holding his uninjured left hand, and said softly, "Mommy is here. Whatever you want to say to Mommy, I'm listening."
Magnus's gaze remained fixed on Isaac the entire time. He looked at Isaac with dark eyes and slowly said to Nora, "Why did you let him in?"
Nora froze, glanced back at Isaac, and didn't know how to respond for a moment.
Magnus said, "Do you want him to kill me?"
Nora was shocked and quickly said, "Magnus, what are you talking about? He won't hurt you. I'm here, and I won't let anyone hurt you!"
Magnus said sullenly, "How could he not? I'm lying here because of him."
Nora's pupils contracted, and she looked at Isaac again, her eyes filled with a bit of questioning.
Isaac frowned. "What nonsense are you talking about? When did I ever hurt you?"
Magnus seemed frightened, his body shrinking, and his eyes filled with tears.
Nora immediately glared at Isaac. "Why are you being so fierce?"
Isaac was silent.
He thought, 'How was he being fierce? He was just being wronged and just asked a question. He had even deliberately softened his tone. He wasn't fierce at all! Magnus was deliberately smearing him!'
After warning Isaac, Nora turned her gaze back to Magnus and asked softly, "Why do you say Isaac hurt you? What did he do to you?"
Magnus lowered his eyelids, looking very sad. "When his man was chasing me, he was on the phone with him, and he instructed that person to kill me."
Isaac's face instantly darkened, and his voice grew heavier. "I never told anyone to hurt you, let alone kill you! Magnus, I used to be so good to you. How can you falsely accuse me and slander me?" He was so angry that his face turned pale, and he exuded a cold aura.
Magnus's body trembled, silently shedding tears, not answering Isaac's question, looking very frightened.
Nora quickly patted Magnus's head and gently coaxed, "Don't be afraid. Mommy is here. Mommy will protect you."
Magnus continued to cry, looking so pitiful that it broke people's hearts.
Nora felt a pang of sadness, and her eyes also filled with tears. "Isaac, get out!" She suppressed her anger and said in a low voice.
Isaac's face looked even worse for Nora actually yelled at him. With turbulent emotions, he then walked out of the ward, deliberately closing the door loudly.
Only Nora and Magnus were left in the ward.
Nora looked at Magnus and seriously asked, "Magnus, tell me the truth. How did you get hurt?"
Magnus said, "I was hit by a car driven by his man."
Nora asked again, "Why do you say he told someone to hit you?"
Magnus said, "I heard it. When that person was chasing me, he was on the phone with him, and he told that person to run me over."
Nora's heart tightened.
She pondered, 'Did Isaac really tell Wesley to run over Magnus? From what she knew of Isaac, she didn't think he could do such a thing. But now Magnus had said it himself. Magnus had never lied before.'For a moment, she didn't know who to believe.
"Mommy, don't you believe me?" Magnus asked faintly.
"I..." Nora opened her mouth but didn't know how to answer. She wanted to say she believed Magnus. But if she believed Magnus, it meant she doubted Isaac.
Magnus said angrily, "Mommy, don't you believe me? You'd rather believe an outsider than me. I don't want you anymore. Go be with him!"
He then started to cry, looking very aggrieved. "I've been hurt by him like this, and you're still with him. You don't love me at all. You don't care if I live or die! Get out. I never want to see you again."
"Magnus, calm down. I will check this matter thoroughly. If he really tried to hurt you, I won't let him go. But don't move around now, or you'll get hurt!" Nora anxiously pressed him down, not letting him continue to move.
Magnus cried angrily, "You still need to check? You just don't believe me. You doubt me. I don't want you anymore."
Nora's heart ached terribly. She bit her lip, holding back her pain, and pressed the call button.
Until she checked it out, she couldn't give Magnus a definite response. If it were before, she might have blindly believed Magnus.
But recently, Magnus had changed a lot, and she couldn't trust him anymore. After all, he could even push Edmund on purpose and show no remorse afterward.
The doctor came quickly.
Seeing Magnus agitated and bleeding from his hands and feet, they decisively gave him a sedative and re-bandaged his wounds.
Nora then walked out of the ward, and Isaac stood at the door with a sullen face.
Seeing Nora come out, he looked up at her, his eyes a bit tense. "Nora, I swear, I never told anyone to hurt him!"
