Chapter 75 Nora, You're a bitch
Isaac's eyes flickered slightly.
90% is her boyfriend's, and the remaining 10% is his.
Doesn't that mean it's 100% his?
Isaac sneered, saying, "It doesn't matter. Even if this child is your boyfriend's, I will help you raise him. After all, I just want him to repay your debt, whether or not he is my flesh and blood."
Nora's heart shrank in pain. He wanted her to have the child even though it wasn't his? It seemed like he truly had no love for her anymore, only a desire for revenge.
Ignoring the bitterness in her heart, Nora clenched her teeth and said, "This child... there's a ten percent chance it's Mortimer's!"
Isaac's face immediately darkened.
The temperature in the carriage dropped to freezing in an instant.
A stifling atmosphere quickly engulfed the entire carriage.
Nora suddenly found it difficult to breathe.
She knew Isaac was angry.
No matter the situation, Mortimer always served as the outlet for his emotions.
The child in her womb could belong to anyone.
But definitely not Mortimer.
He would absolutely not allow her to have Mortimer's child!
She intentionally said that, knowing this fact.
"Nora, do you even know what you're saying?!" Isaac's voice grew dark.
Nora trembled with fear.
She took a deep breath and mustered up her courage, saying, "I know you don't like hearing this, but I'm only telling the truth. I don't want to hide anything from you."
"I had... something with Mortimer..."
"Shut up!" Isaac angrily interrupted her, not wanting to hear about anything between her and that man!
"Even if you don't let me speak, it can't hide what has already happened."
"Though there's only a ten percent chance that the child in my belly is Mortimer's, what if Mortimer's genes are strong, and by chance, he wins the lottery of low probability?"
"If the child is Mortimer's, he definitely wouldn't just stand by and let his child be abused and tormented by you."
"Yes, you beat Mortimer every time you meet now, but that doesn't mean Mortimer is inferior to you. He's just letting you have your way!"
Isaac's grip on her jaw tightened.
Nora felt her face contorting under the pressure.
Her cheeks were both painful and sore from the squeeze, and she couldn't control the dribble of saliva from the corners of her mouth, which landed on his hand.
"Nora, you're truly despicable!" Isaac gritted his teeth and growled, "We haven't been divorced for long, and you're already with a boyfriend, and even having an affair with Mortimer!"
"Just the thought of having had a relationship with you makes me sick!"
Nora flinched in pain.
She struggled to speak, "You know we're already divorced?"
"Now we have no connection. Don't just focus on the fact that I've had two men. Even if I were with twenty men in a day, it's my own business. It has nothing to do with you. You have no right to judge me!"
"Besides, don't you have Kalista now?"
"After divorcing me, you still had relations with her, and I find it disgusting!"
Isaac's face turned pale, the veins on his neck popping out.
His relationship with Kalista was fake.
But her relationship with Mortimer was real.
Who did she think she was to find him disgusting?
Isaac suppressed his anger and gritted his teeth, saying, "You better pray that this dirty child in your belly isn't Mortimer's, otherwise...I'll make you wish you were dead!"
He forcefully pushed her face away and pushed her off his lap.
Afterwards, he disdainfully patted the seat she had sat on.
As if she were some dirty thing that disgusted him.
Nora's body hit the car door, her arm throbbing in pain.
"Who the child in my belly belongs to is none of your concern. Why do you have the right to threaten me? Wesley, stop the car. I want to get off!" Nora said angrily.
Isaac coldly responded, "Until we confirm whether the child in your belly is mine or not, you must stay by my side."
Nora furrowed her brows, "So I have to wait until the child is born?"
Isaac let out a cold laugh, "No need to wait that long. We can do an amniocentesis to test for DNA before the child is born."
Nora said, "Then you can wait until it's possible to do an amniocentesis before coming to find me. I will cooperate with you. There's no need for you to make me go back with you."
Isaac's face grew darker, "You really don't want to see me that much?"
Nora said, "We are already divorced. There's no need for us to meet. Furthermore, I have a boyfriend, and I don't want him to have any misunderstandings."
Isaac remained silent.
But he didn't stop the car either.
"Isaac, what do you want in order to let me go?" Nora felt somewhat helpless.
Irritated, Isaac said, "Grandfather knows that you're pregnant. He wants me to bring you back home to take care of you."
"He's waiting at home right now. If you want to leave, go and talk to him. If he lets you go, I have no objection."
Nora paused. Grandfather knew too? She felt a headache coming on.
She dared to say in front of Isaac that she might be pregnant with Mortimer's child, but she didn't dare say it in front of her grandfather.
The car continued to drive. Nora didn't ask to get off the car again.
Since her grandfather was waiting at home, she had to go and see him.
Soon, the car stopped at the front door of the mansion.
As soon as Nora got out of the car, she saw Edmund, who was standing at the door with a cane.
"Nora, you're finally out of the hospital. How are you feeling? Is there anywhere on your body that still feels uncomfortable?"
As soon as Edmund saw Nora, he immediately walked over, smiling.
Nora hurriedly went forward to support him, "Thank you for your concern, Grandfather. I'm fine now."
Edmund smiled and said, "If there's any discomfort, you must speak up and not endure it."
"Now that you're not alone, you have to be careful in everything and not hurt the child. I'm still waiting to hold my great-grandchild, hahaha."
Nora looked at her grandfather, wanting to say something but hesitating.
She really wanted to say that this might not be his great-grandchild...
After the divorce, she had been with Steve for a longer time, so it's highly likely that this child is still Steve's and has nothing to do with Isaac.
"Before I die, if I can see Isaac have his own child and successfully take over the the Porter Family, then I can die without regrets!"
"If your grandmother knew that you were pregnant with Isaac's child, she would definitely be very happy. Who knows, her happiness might even cure her of her illness!"
When mentioning his late wife, Edmund's eyes became warm, and tears welled up in the corners of his eyes.
Seeing her grandfather in this state, Nora immediately asked with concern, "Grandpa, is grandma's health very bad?"
Edmund sighed, "After she celebrated her seventieth birthday, she was probably upset and her health deteriorated."
"She's currently recuperating at the estate, but her health is getting worse and worse."
Nora's heart sank abruptly, and she anxiously asked, "Has Rhys visited her?"
Edmund nodded. "Rhys has visited. He stayed at home for about a week before, helping her get recovery. Her mental state improved a little, but it's still not ideal."
"Rhys said that she suffered too much when she was young, which damaged her body's foundation. Now that she's older, it's impossible to recover."
"Moreover, she is burdened with worries and has been holding in her anger because of Isaac's matter, so her physical condition can't get better."
Nora's heart instantly sank to the bottom.
She never expected Katie's health to be so severe!
Edmund wiped his moistened eyes and said, "But a couple of days ago, I told her that you're carrying Isaac's child. According to her caregiver, her mood noticeably improved."
"She has already started her journey back from the estate. When she returns home and sees you, her mood will surely be even better!"
Nora felt an instant increase in pressure.
If Katie knew that she was carrying a child that wasn't Isaac's, would it make her condition worse?
