Chapter 104 Restricted by Him
The man paused, his eyes turning bloodshot. "Luke, get out of the car."
Luke cast an anxious glance at the woman before exiting the car, his hand trembling.
"Wait..." Winnie attempted to struggle, only to unintentionally further rouse the deity within him.
Veins bulged on the back of the man's hand as he pressed her against the car window, his actions devoid of words. His thin lips exerted pressure, almost devouring her. In frenzied state, Winnie's delicate lips quickly became bloodied. Mr. L thought of her at the end of that bed, being dressed by Rock, blood staining her lips. How captivating, like a siren, as she absorbed the essence of any man who pleased her.
His fury intensified, and his lips descended, biting into her milky white neck. The faint fragrance intoxicated him further as he pursued, ravaging and claiming...
Winnie was pinned against the car windows edge, the car moving forward and the window bumping against her head. Meanwhile, the man was like a furious lion, irrational and unreasonable. His already dark eyes grew even more sinister, simply watching her tears fall one by one, while he taunted her, "Don't put on that mournful expression. You weren't like this when you were with Rock."
His hoarse voice resonated anger and indifference.
Winnie could no longer muster the strength to resist, her desperate hands clutching onto his shirt, trying to resist his kisses, but all she had left were tears.
...
He helped her zip up the upper half of her dress, and they arrived at the villa.
Without uttering a word, Mr. L carried her out of the car. Though he would have forcibly done so if she resisted, he refrained from using excessive force, mindful of the child in her womb.
He gently placed her onto the bed in the second-floor bedroom. The man quickly walked back to the entrance, his black eyes as frigid as a midnight frost as he glanced at her and spoke in a chilling tone, "It seems you haven't figured it out. It's easy for me to control a person. From this point forward, forget about your job and career. Stay at home obediently and give birth to this child for me!"
He turned away, addressing Taylor in a cold voice, "Go and inform the staff downstairs. She is not allowed to leave the villa without my permission. Women are restless, keep an eye on her, confiscate her phone. Don't let her contact her mother!"
Winnie collapsed onto the bed like a lifeless doll, experiencing a searing pain in her chest and neck. It took her a while to come to her senses.
He intended to confine her!
"What gives you the right to treat me like this, you bastard! Have you lost your mind?!" She scrambled off the bed and hurried to the door.
However, Taylor sighed and immediately closed it.
She felt like she was losing her mind. What kind of demon had she married and gotten involved with?
Outside the villa.
Benjamin's car arrived hastily, and as he got off, he heard the man's cold voice instructing the maid, "Call a surgeon to conduct a thorough examination."
Whom to call? It was evident.
Benjamin sighed and regarded the man with an inscrutable, somber expression. There was a faint sound of a woman's soft crying from upstairs, mingling with the knocks on the door.
"Mr. L... what are you doing? You can't imprison people like this," she implored.
The man's eyebrows arched in cold response, "Is there something I can't do?"
Benjamin glimpsed the furrowed brows that could crush a fly and the weariness that lurked behind them. He dared not speak any further.
Drawing a deep drag from his cigarette, the sound of Winnie's cries reverberated, causing his veins to throb and his desire for destruction to surge. Abruptly he got into his car, stating, "Investigate the incident at the banquet hall. Find out who harmed her!"
"You know that Winnie was harmed, then why resort to this? Just because you couldn't protect her, Rock did and even dressed her... " Yet in that situation, if it had been Benjamin himself, he too would have been furious.
The sports car sped off.
Benjamin glanced at the villa on the second floor, resembling a small prison cell.
With no other choice, Benjamin could only drive and immediately follow Mr. L, dangerously racing through the night.
In a daze, Winnie was thoroughly examined by the female doctor, who applied external treatments that wouldn’t affect her blood. Winnie promptly took the antidote, safeguarding the fetus.
There were no new wounds on her body, except for her slightly split lips and some marks on her chest...
The female doctor applied a soothing ointment in silence, reminding her to exercise caution while taking a shower.
Winnie remained silent, overwhelmed by a profound sense of humiliation.
She fell into an exhausted sleep.
As dawn broke, she reflexively wanted to check her phone, only to realize that the bastard had confiscated all her devices.
Was he trying to sever her connection with the outside world?
Winnie was on the verge of losing it.
Clearly, she hadn't done anything wrong. She was the victim, almost losing her innocence, yet he insisted on confine her.
In this day and age, there was still such a punishment.
Winnie experienced not only the humiliation but also his extreme cruelty as well. This was his idea of "dating" that he so gently spoke of. Where was the equality? There was only equality when he was in a good mood! She must have utterly foolish to fall in love with a man like him...
Winnie continued banging on the door, while Taylor’s voice sounded distressed on the other side, "Mrs. L, I apologize, but you can't leave the bedroom. Can you please have breakfast first?"
"Weel, then I'll go on a hunger strike." Winnie responded.
Taylor sighed, "Mr. L just called, and he wants to be updated on your mealtimes. Please don't make it difficult for us. Also, the fetus is over three months old, you shouldn't go hungry."
"So, it is," Winnie murmured, her eyes quietly brimming with tears. Her fragile body rested against the door, tears streaming down her face. She had already formed a bond with the baby, and starving herself wasn’t an option...
Why was he so heartless, not letting her go to work? Triton had a lot of urgent matters that needed her attention. Stripped of her freedom, she couldn't even contact Olivia.
Last night's banquet couldn’t have been an accident; something sinister surely lay behind it.
When Winnie was being led away by the bodyguards, she caught a glimpse of the expression in Darcy's eyes. Everything from last night was likely orchestrated by her. Winnie knew she had to investigate.
But now, she was utterly immobilized.
For several days in a row, Winnie's eyes gradually lost their sparkle as she was kept imprisoned.
Her emotions were adrift, and Taylor was worried that if she was kept confined for too long, she might develop prenatal depression. Taylor reported the situation to Mr. L.
Inside the office, the cold and demanding man dropped his pen and picked it up again.
Luke comprehended the gravity of the situation. This time, the CEO of Imperial Jewelry was truly furious and had the intention to punish Mrs. L. This matter wouldn’t be resolved quickly.
Taylor hit a dead end and went back.
As she hurried down the hallway, she collided with Darcy, who was entering the elevator. Darcy stepped into her own office, her gaze cold and piercing.
Her assistant asked her, "Darcy, with Winnie under lockdown by the CEO Imperial Jewelry, what else is concerning you?"
Darcy furrowed her brow. When Mr. L had exploded in fury at the banquet, she assumed Winnie’s fate was sealed. However, unexpectedly, he chose to confine her.
To Darcy, this was a form of protection, making it harder for her to act. As long as Winnie remained alive, Darcy wouldn't feel at ease.
During this time when Mr. L was thoroughly disappointed in Winnie, it was the best opportunity for her to act.
Darcy elegantly sat back at her desk and suddenly asked her assistant, "Have you managed to gather the information I requested about the deceased worker’s family?"
The assistant hesitated briefly but promptly responded, "Yes, I have it. It's the son of a laborer who passed away in Z City. Due to his impoverished circumstances, he was forced into underground boxing matches to make ends meet. He possesses considerable physical prowess. If he is seeking vengeance against the CEO of Imperial Jewelry, he should be vigilant. Recently, he’s been in Lymington, focusing on Imperial Tower."
"Strong physically, you say?" Darcy’s lips curled into a sneer as she slowly took out a photo to show her assistant. "Find a way to contact him and give him this photo. Make it clear that it's the beloved wife of the CEO of Imperial Jewelry, who is also pregnant. Offer him a sum of money... Ensure it gets done without leaving a trace back to us."
