Chapter 254 Auction Company.

In the luxurious auction hall of the International Convention Center, Darcy entered the venue, holding the arm of a man. Immediately, all eyes were on her.

Not because she was stunningly beautiful, but because of the power and presence bestowed upon her by the man beside her.

The auction of Eternity Jewelry Co. Ltd, a small company, wouldn't have attracted many people. However, when the high-ranking officials heard that Lawrence R would be present, they rushed over.

In just three short years, Island Electronics Group had become one of the top three companies on the global wealth list. Who wouldn't want to establish connections with Lawrence R? Even if it was just a small opportunity to benefit from his influence.
They saw the noble-looking man carrying a child on his shoulder, his gentleman's hat shading his face. "Oh my, it's Lawrence R's first appearance with his child!"

The debutantes were envious and resentful.

"Darcy is truly enviable. They've been engaged for three years, and this is the first public appearance with the child. It's like a fairy tale."

"Everyone says that Lawrence R dotes on her, she's practically the epitome of a high-class lady!" Darcy tightened her grip on the man's arm, her face elegant but her lips slightly curled.

In the eyes of all Lymington debutantes, she was unattainable, and this happiness seemed to be unique.

"Mr. L, let me hold Sidney!" She giggled playfully.

"No." Sidney nestled in his father's arms, his body stiff, and gave the woman a cold glance.
Such a good actor.

The crowd around him made him extremely nervous. He raised his voice, all coolness gone. "Lawrence R, I want to go home, it's noisy here!"

Darcy's eyes turned cold. She reached out her hand as if adjusting her hair, fortunately, no one around noticed.

Lawrence R pinched the sweaty little fist of the nervous boy, knowing that he didn't like this kind of occasion and rarely interacted with strangers.

He frowned and glanced at the onlookers, shielding his son's face. "I don't want Sidney to be overly exposed. Let's take him to the lounge first. You can take your seat."

Darcy saw the displeasure on his face. Bringing the little bastard was her suggestion, but she didn't want this little thing to cause trouble for her.

"Take care of our son, Mr. L. I'll wait for you." She smiled softly, intentionally speaking loudly.

Lawrence R carried the child and was escorted by bodyguards to the lounge, showing the mature temperament of a caring father.

Seeing this, the debutantes were even more smitten, and they all complimented Darcy, "Miss Ordelia, you are clearly a great mommy!"

"No wonder Mr. L spoils you. I heard that today he wants to bid for Triton and give it to you as a wedding gift. It's well-known that it was his ex-wife Winnie's company! It shows how deep his love for you is."

Darcy almost couldn't close her mouth; this was what she wanted to hear!

In the eyes of everyone in Lymington, Winnie was nothing more than a defeated subordinate, always being gossiped about.

But she spoke politely, "Let the past be the past. Let's not talk about Miss Anderson. In fact, I see the potential in Triton and wanted to do something with it in my leisure time. Mr. L is just doing his job, and as long as I'm happy, it's enough."

"This is still him spoiling you!" the crowd sneered.

Darcy sat down contentedly. Lawrence R arrived shortly after, adjusting his prestigious tie and sitting beside her.

The lights dimmed, and the auctioneer of the auction company took the stage.

At this moment, someone murmured in the crowd, "Rock from the Harrington Group is here."

Lawrence R's body tensed, at the announcement.

Someone else said, "It's quite lively. Why is Alan here too? Is he interested in his ex-sister-in-law's company?"

"But who is that woman next to him? ... Wow, her figure is amazing! I bet she'll be the number one woman every man in Lymington wants to play with, just based on her back view."

There was a collective gasp from the crowd.

Hearing about the beautiful woman, Darcy's dissatisfaction grew. Darcy instinctively turned her head to look at Lawrence R. She noticed a slight raise of his eyebrows and a momentary flicker in his eyes, but he didn't bother to look up, maintaining a lazy and disinterested posture.

Darcy was satisfied and pursed her lips, remarking,

"Mr. L, Alan is as frivolous as ever, bringing an unsophisticated companion to such an occasion. You have almost devoured Imperial Group's market share, so when do you plan on swallowing him up?"

The man casually glanced ahead, seemingly unconcerned, and replied, "Whenever I feel like it, there's no need to choose a specific day."

Darcy adored his restrained dominance, finding his charismatic aura irresistibly captivating. Softening her voice, she clasped his hands and said, "Mr. L, tonight I must have Triton."

"It's yours," he replied.

The auctioneer announced the liquidation of Triton's assets to the crowd, and the bidding commenced at 800 million dollars.

Winnie sat beside Alan, feeling sorrowful. She remembered when Triton, was not a top jewelry company but was still valued at 30 billion dollars. Then it was left in ruins and reduced to its current 800-million-dollar shell following her "death" three years ago due to Imperial Group's rapacious encroachment.

Her fists clenched tightly.

Suddenly, a deep and commanding voice emerged from the front row. "I'll buy it for 5 billion dollars."

It was Lawrence R's voice. The crowd erupted in astonishment!

"Miss Ordelia, congratulations! Mr. L is truly spoiling you!" Darcy teased acting shy, her lips forming a smirk.

Even the auctioneer was taken aback. He chuckled and asked, "Any other bids?"

Rock raised his paddle. "5.2 billion dollars."

Lawrence R's eyelid twitched.

At that moment, another sign was raised at the back. "5.6 billion dollars, I want Triton!"

Alan's sinister voice was easily recognizable, and several Lymington debutantes recognized it too.

Whispers spread throughout the crowd. "Has Alan gone mad? Imperial Financial Group has been squeezed by Mr. L. Why would he bid on a measly 800-million-dollar company?"

The auctioneer also had doubts and politely asked, "Alan, Mr. L, are you certain about your bid of 5.6 billion dollars?"

"Of course. Do you think I can't afford it?" Alan retorted, angered by the question.

"What's your relationship with Triton? Why do you want to buy it?" someone in the crowd curiously inquired.

Alan smirked as he glanced at Winnie hidden beneath her veil, her figure defined by a black velvet dress. He licked his lips provocatively.

Winnie stomped her high-heeled shoe down forcefully.

Alan stood up with an irritable expression, casting a glance at Lawrence R and grinning. "My elder brother did it for the smile of Miss Ordelia, so naturally, I'm doing it for the smile of the lady beside me."

The venue was bathed in a soft blue light as everyone froze, their curiosity piqued by the mysterious woman by Alan's side.

Rock looked at Winnie from a distance, his gaze intensifying. He raised his paddle and shouted, "6 billion dollars!"

"Hiss... I heard he almost got engaged to Winnie three years ago..." He still hasn't let go of his feelings. Is this specifically for supporting his beloved woman?

Upon hearing this, Lawrence casually loosened his tie, feeling annoyed.

Just now, Alan said it was to make the woman next to him smile. Rock also raised the price again.

Could it be...

The man's gaze deepened, and he coldly shifted his angle, looking sideways at Alan's seat, as if with some intention and ambiguity.

He knew that woman had returned to Lymington, and not only that, but she also happened to be his urologist.

He was too busy today and didn't have time to deal with her. Could it be that she came in to cause trouble after finding out he was here? Ha, she wanted to entangle him? Ignorant!

"8 billion dollars!" the man said in a cold tone.

Darcy was still confused, her lips slightly curved.

She gracefully stood up and said, "I'll go to the restroom, Mr. L."

In the restroom, Darcy redialed the unanswered call and smiled sweetly, "Mother... They made some bids, but Rock and Alan can't disrupt anything. Winnie's bankrupt company is definitely within my grasp. Who can surpass Mr. L's power?"

"After I acquire this company, I'll take the opportunity tonight to have Mr. L announce the wedding date. What are you worried about? That wretch is dead and won't come back to life..."

As she spoke, she pushed open the door and unexpectedly bumped into someone!
