The news of the CEO's outburst and the subsequent firings of Manager Baker, Manager Baker's secretary, and the restaurant supervisor spread throughout the company, well before lunch.
The CEO's favoritism towards this temporary wife showed that Ms. Anderson was not someone to be underestimated.
Some Senior executives also discussed this matter privately, their impression of Winnie drastically changing. "This Ms. Anderson is not easy to mess with. The video of Manager Baker's affair yesterday... I'm afraid Ms. Anderson had a hand in it. In just one day, Manager Baker's reputation has been completely ruined." One executive said.
"Manager Baker was kicked out of the company, even though he used to be Darcy's subordinate!" another executive confirmed.
As soon as this was mentioned, several senior executives who were once close to Darcy exchanged looks, as if they understood something.
At this moment, a senior executive's phone rang. It was Darcy calling, as he was also Darcy's direct subordinate. Reluctantly, the senior executive answered the call, as Darcy tried to win him over, "I heard about Manager Baker being framed and fired by Winnie. I'll still have to rely on you in the future..." Darcy tried to persuade.

She had originally wanted Manager Baker to act against Winnie at the company, so that L would see how incompetent Winnie was, and quickly bring her back to the company.
Now, it seemed impossible for her to return to Lymington through the Kingdom Estates company. Darcy angrily swept the files off the table and leaned back in her chair, her eyes filled with hatred.
Suddenly, she seemed to think of something, and after a brief moment of complexity, a sinister smile crept onto her lips. She made a phone call to the manager of the matchmaking agency in Ystad, saying, "Find me a wealthy young man from Ystad immediately. I want to fall in love."
Wasn’t this what that despicable Winnie had encouraged Mr. L to do, to force Darcy to start a new life? As she wished! This would be the best way to return to Lymington. Darcy thought.
Meanwhile, in the Vice President's office, silence filled the air. L had cleared Winnie's name in the company and dealt with the senior executives involved in yesterday's incident. He turned his head to look at Winnie with his deep and piercing gaze.
His stature was towering, and his presence was overwhelming. Suddenly, L's voice lowered. "Mrs. L, can you have Olivia take down the news about Manager Baker?"
Winnie was drinking hot water, and she almost sprayed it out at once, upon hearing his request.
L raised an eyebrow with a cold and mocking expression as he walked over. "The Kingdom Estates' image is important. If this becomes a big deal, I will be responsible."
"..." His words practically meant that he knew everything she had done.
Winnie felt extremely embarrassed, her face slightly pale. She tried to defend herself, "Manager Baker kept causing troubles for me yesterday, making it impossible for me to take over the work at the Kingdom Estates. I was indeed wronged. I can't just become a mistress in your company from now on..."
"Unfortunately, I had no choice but to do this..." Winnie became somewhat submissive as she spoke the last sentence.
"You're quite clever," the man's thin lips curved into a sharp smile as he looked down at her with a superior gaze. "Yesterday, I left you at the company to test your abilities. Instead, you seized the opportunity to swiftly remove Darcy's subordinates, didn't you?"
"No, I didn't." Winnie didn't expect him to see through her so thoroughly.
She felt a bit flustered for a moment, considering using her charms to distract him. The man, Mr. L, had handsome brows that outlined his attractive face. He held her fair chin with his slender fingers.
"I've taken care of the mistreatment you endured. From now on, no one in the company will dare to speak a word against you. They'll treat you with the same reverence and fear they hold towards me. I will ensure a smooth path for you at the company."
Winnie's heart raced fiercely, stirred by his low voice. She took out her voice recorder and the receipt. She did intend to expose this to L and free herself from the mistress's insults, but he had already taken care of everything.
She thought that when he left her here yesterday, it was to let her fend for herself. She didn't expect him to have confidence in her. Winnie's hand timidly reached out, lightly embracing his narrow waist. She glanced at the doorway and coyly asked,
"Are you still angry that I caused you to let Manager Baker go?" Winnie asked blinking her bright eyes at him.
L looked at her in that manner, his Adam's apple slightly bobbing. A subtle smile of elegance emerged on the man's face.
"He's just a manager. Do you think he holds much influence? I value the Kingdom Estates, and I keep those truly capable under my control."
His words implied that Winnie was free to handle people like Manager Baker as she pleased.
L turned gracefully, gripping her hand and smirking. "Do you want to enter the core of the Kingdom Estates?"
Winnie nodded eagerly. L turned and walked out of the office, gesturing for her to join him. "Come with me to the meeting. Let me witness your talent in the real estate field."
At the meeting, Winnie immediately presented the project book of the five-star hotel group she had seen yesterday. This was currently the largest project of the Kingdom Estates company, worth billions of dollars.
During the meeting, she finally witnessed the man's business acumen and decisive ability in the corporate world. Winnie was captivated by his aura throughout the entire conference.
Deep in her heart, she was truly enchanted by this man. As the meeting concluded and lunch approached, L exchanged a glance with her discreetly.
Blushing under full view of the crowd present, Winnie felt as if his enticing gaze was speaking to her directly asking her something , Does he want her to go to the CEO office? Winnie wondered.
