Chapter 734 The Banquet at Camellia Mount
Adam stammered, fuming, "You... you're so heartless. I saw this morning you kinda like Alvin. Can't you just overlook his personality change after the amnesia? Saving him is more important. I'm begging you here. Save him this time, or he might not make it."
"Then promise me you'll consider working with Lawrence," Olivia shot back, seizing the moment.
Adam's face turned icy, baffled by her audacity.
He never thought she'd dare meddle in his company's business.
Adam snapped, "I can't consider someone who almost got Alvin killed."
Olivia waved her hands dismissively, "You're so stubborn! Then there's nothing to discuss. Why should I risk my neck for an ungrateful jerk?"
As she walked out the door, she added, "Go ahead and throw me in jail." Adam was practically spitting fire.
"Olivia's just an antidote. Are we really short of women here? Butler, go find a few clean and pretty girls for Alvin. Try them first. If it doesn't work, then bring Olivia over for Alvin to deal with! Ms. Smith, if you really care about Alvin, you wouldn't mind his temporary confusion. If Alvin sleeps with other women and then comes to you, won’t that disgust you?"
Olivia stopped in her tracks, almost ready to vomit blood.
She never thought those in power could be so arrogant. Even after she said she'd stop, he still dared to threaten her.
But thinking about Jeremy with other women and then coming to her made her feel utterly disgusted.
Clenching her fists, she turned around in anger, "Mr. King, don't push it."
"I have no choice. Only you can save him!" Adam frowned.
As Olivia and Adam faced off, sudden frantic footsteps came from the study door.
A wave of intense heat surged towards her, and before she knew it, Jeremy had her in a fervent, uncontrolled embrace.
Startled, she turned her head, meeting Jeremy's flushed, frenzied face.
His glasses were off, revealing bloodshot eyes filled with madness. His body trembled, clearly suppressing something, tense as iron.
Olivia felt like she was burning alive, terrified, pushing him away, "What are you doing? I told Adam, I'm not saving you! Go find another woman to fix your condition."
"No." Jeremy struggled to suppress the evil within him, his deep, angry gaze fixed on her, "In my mind, there's only you. I just want to be with you."
Olivia blushed, confused, "How shameless! Jerk, what did you say this morning? I begged you not to forget your promise. You said there wouldn't be a next time, that you don't like women like me, wouldn't even touch me."
"I don't remember." His breath was like fire on her neck, igniting a blaze.
Olivia was dumbfounded, looking at his blood-red eyes, his pained expression, she couldn't help but feel a bit of pity, "Hey, are you okay?"
"Have sex with me, and I'll be fine."
"How shameless!" Before she could finish, Jeremy kissed her uncontrollably, lifting her and rushing towards his bedroom.
Along the way, countless servants watched the fiery scene, all stopping, blushing.
Olivia's peripheral vision caught sight of so many onlookers, making her wish she could die on the spot.
Olivia was famous now, with a reputation for being promiscuous that couldn't be washed away.
In the chaos, she was thrown into a dim room with the curtains still open. He, like a desperate man, pounced on her wildly.
Olivia's eyes widened in fear as Jeremy pinned her to the floor, her clothes gone. As familiar ravages mixed with strange intimacy hit her, she cried out, raising her hand to slap him hard.
Unexpectedly, Jeremy smirked wickedly, "Hit harder."
Olivia really slapped him a few more times.
But she didn't know, the angrier she got, the more it fueled his beast-like aggression.
This time, Olivia lay helplessly on the bed, like a small shrimp mercilessly pummeled onto the shore by relentless waves. As she finally succumbed to unconsciousness, she accepted the reality with a sense of powerlessness and resentment.
Olivia couldn't bear to watch without offering help, yet she was unwilling to accept being treated this way herself.
Looking at his handsome face, she confirmed again, she still liked him.
Anyway, she was ruined by Sam three years ago, not a virgin anymore. She had Mia, didn't expect to marry again.
Now forced to be with Jeremy, she might as well indulge her secret crush. After leaving this island, or when he regains his memory, they wouldn't be possible.
Olivia wished to keep this matter as a secret between herself and Jeremy.
And most importantly, she couldn't escape now. Only by seducing Jeremy could she use him to change Adam's mind. After all, Adam seemed to value Jeremy.
Then, Olivia could persuade Jeremy to give the NexaCore Group cooperation to Lawrence.
When the time came, Rock would be utterly unprepared for things not unfolding according to his expectations.
'Winnie, Winnie, I'm sacrificing so much for you.' Olivia smiled bitterly, passing out from Jeremy's actions.
Trento City.
Winnie returned to Rock's villa after work at the Blanchet Family.
Unexpectedly, Rock had come home early and prepared dinner.
Rock, carrying dishes to the table, smiled, "Winnie, wash your hands and eat!"
"Rock, you got off work so early today?" Winnie asked.
"You worked overnight at the company yesterday, so I wanted to make you a meal." Rock said warmly.
Winnie, remembering she was taking care of Sidney, felt a bit guilty, "Recently, my dad just woke up, and the Blanchet Family shareholders have a lot to discuss with me."
"Yeah. By the way," Rock glanced at her bag, "I heard there's a grand banquet at Camellia Mount tomorrow night, hosted by the chairman of NexaCore Group."
"Well, I received an invitation. Did you get one?" Winnie asked without much thought.
Rock's eyes darkened, pretending to smile bitterly, "No matter how hard I try, I'm just a new entrepreneur in Trento City. NexaCore Group might not know about the Harrington Group, so I didn't get an invitation.
A big conglomerate like NexaCore Group, backed by the president, probably cared more about old families like the Blanchet Family and the Jenkins Group. Winnie, as the Blanchet Family's young lady, of course, you received an invitation."
His compliment made Winnie a bit uncomfortable. She smiled, "It's just because Adam sent an invitation to every household in Camellia Mount. Mr. King is a close confidant of the president, with an extraordinary status. All the elites in Trento City want to connect with him. Many political figures and dignitaries will surely attend tomorrow night. My dad can't go, so there's no point in me going, either."
Rock responded, "How can it be pointless? You're the young director of the Blanchet Group. Many people would kill for such an opportunity. But I'm worried, you're so beautiful, other men might target you tomorrow night. Winnie, how about I accompany you instead?"
