Chapter 952 Transaction Failed

Lynn's eyes welled up with tears as she stared in terror at her left hand. Jeremy's powerful grip on her wrist felt like it could snap her bones at any moment. His strength and methods were truly terrifying.

She trembled, a mix of fear and defiance. "It's... It's in my villa," she stammered.

"I'll ask you one more time, where is Mia? What are your people doing to her right now?" Jeremy demanded, yanking her up by her wrist.

Lynn could almost hear her bones separating!

But she kept her mouth shut, knowing that if she spoke, she'd lose her value and be killed immediately.

She stared at Jeremy's devilishly handsome face, the face she had always loved. She had gone through so much to win him over, but why did he never love her back? Instead, he grew to hate her more and more, to the point where he was willing to kill her for Olivia.

Why?! A surge of unyielding resentment filled every nerve in her body. Lynn began to laugh quietly, then louder and louder, her eyes gleaming with a ghostly light as she looked at Jeremy. She even reached out, wanting to touch his jaw.

Jeremy shoved her away in disgust. "Do you think staying silent will save your life? Let me show you how I really operate. You might think I'm merciful because you haven't seen this side of me."

With a swift motion, Jeremy broke her left hand. His cold, hard leather shoe pressed down on her ankle, grinding it lightly. Lynn's scream of pain echoed through the room.

Both her ankles were broken.

Her hands were useless.

Lynn lay on the wet floor, as lifeless as a corpse.

"Jeremy, you're cruel! But don't worry..." Lynn gritted her teeth. She still had leverage over him, even in this state. She looked at her broken limbs in terror, laughing maniacally. "What I've been through, your child will go through too. I won't tell you where she is, and you'll never find her!

The DeRoss Family has no solid evidence to prove that I faked the paternity test years ago. You can't take me to court. By the time you find your child, she will have been tortured beyond recognition by my people. She's only two years old, right?

Think carefully about whether you want to give me a way out! It would be better for everyone!"

"Impossible." Jeremy saw that he couldn't get any more information from her and decided not to waste any more time.

Lynn, full of schemes and cowardice, was still trying to resist him.

He didn't have time to deal with her now. Jeremy wiped his hands with a towel and coldly instructed his men, "Leave her here to fend for herself. Keep an eye on her and the two from the Smith Family!"

With that, he left.

Lynn lay on the ground, covered in mud, her eyes lifeless. She watched his terrifying figure disappear inch by inch, feeling a sense of despair. This plan had failed!

She had followed Darcy's advice, but she hadn't won the psychological battle against Jeremy. She couldn't gain any advantage, even by threatening Mia's life.

Damn it!

She could only hope that Darcy had hidden Mia well, so Jeremy would never find her...

Lynn squinted her eyes in determination. Her hands were useless, but she crawled to the side, flipped over, and struggled to bite the button on her clothes. It was a communicator she used to contact Darcy, and no one had discovered it.

She pressed the alarm with her teeth, signaling to Darcy that the negotiation had failed! Darcy had to hide Mia well, so Jeremy couldn't find her and would have to come back.

It wasn't over yet, not by a long shot...

By the roadside near the beach, Winnie was keeping an eye on Olivia, who was crouched down, checking the road surveillance footage.

The police had already arrived. Ray had reported Kai's car accident as a deliberate act and demanded a thorough investigation. He had personally taken Kai to the hospital morgue and was about to return when he received a call from Jeremy.

Ray straightened up and answered, "Did you get anything out of Lynn?"

Jeremy didn't respond, his breathing heavy and cold.

Ray sensed that things weren't going well. Lynn had resisted Jeremy's methods. Did she have another plan?

"Ray, let's go to Lynn's villa and find the antidote Jake needs."

"I'll be right there!" Ray said, heading to his car. He tried to comfort Jeremy, "Don't worry, Jeremy. Olivia is a top-notch hacker. She's already checking the surveillance along the coastal road. We'll find Mia soon. She's so adorable, even God will help her."

"I've sent people back to the DeRoss Villa to ask my father to mobilize the DeRoss Family's resources for a city-wide search. He agreed."

"Exactly! With you and Olivia working together, we'll find Mia in no time."

Jeremy rubbed his temples, not saying a word.

He wasn't worried about finding Mia. His influence in Lymington was strong, and it was only a matter of time before they found her.

But he couldn't afford any harm to come to Mia!

Thinking of Mia's bright smile, her sweet voice calling him "Daddy," and her soft, dependent presence in his arms, his heart ached. She was so pitiful, born into a life she shouldn't have had, living as Sam's illegitimate daughter for two years. She and Olivia had endured so much slander!

And all of this was because he had been manipulated and had no memory of Olivia giving birth to his child. It was all his fault!

His heart trembled slightly.

Jeremy exhaled a deep breath, his lips tight. "We need to save Jake first. I can't let Olivia despair again. I've already... owed her too much."

Ray was silent for a moment, then sighed. "It's good that you finally understand. Olivia is a good woman. She's wasted half her life on you, going through so much to give birth to your daughter. You've been a father for three years without even knowing it... It's fate."

Jeremy composed himself. "Is Winnie with her?"

"Yes, they're working with the police to check the surveillance footage. We should have results soon.

You know, Olivia is tougher than I thought. I expected her to break down, but for Mia's sake, she hasn't shed a single tear."

Jeremy's heart ached. He knew she was just holding on with all her strength.

He wanted to find Mia immediately and bring her back to see Olivia's smile.

"Let's hurry."

"Got it."

By 7 p.m., half of the antidote had been delivered to Evergreen Hospital and handed over to the experts for consultation. Less than half an hour later, Jeremy was back onthe coastal road.

Meanwhile, Olivia had already identified the car that had kidnapped Mia through the road surveillance footage!
