Chapter 791 Coaxing Her

She quickly turned around and wanted to go back, "I can't be bothered with you anymore. It wouldn't be good if Elliott saw us. Don't go looking for trouble with Rock, otherwise it will be harder for me to explain."

She had just been hit, and Lawrence went to settle the score with Rock. Wasn't this telling Rock that she reported him?

Winnie didn't want this.

"Winnie, do you think we can still make things clear between us?" Lawrence's voice was warm, "It's been unclear for a long time. You've helped me time and time again, saying the harshest words, but deep down you're on my side. I don't believe there's no place for me in your heart."

"Lawrence, shut up." Winnie, feeling both angry and embarrassed, couldn't bear it any longer and growled softly.

As she moved her lips too vigorously, she pulled on the wound on the right side of her face, causing pain to spread across her entire face. "Ouch."

"What's wrong, does it hurt? Don't speak so loudly." Lawrence looked at her nervously, wanting to turn around and get the medicine from the villa's entrance.

Winnie grabbed his strong arm, "Don't go, do you want Elliott to see you?"

At least his off-road vehicle was blocking the way now.

Lawrence stared at her with concern, feeling at a loss seeing the wound on Winnie's face for the first time. "If you won't let me get the medicine for you, how will you relieve the pain? How about I blow on it, Winnie?"

His tall figure leaned in close to her, gently blowing on her small face.

His warm breath felt surprisingly hot and itchy in the cold night wind.

Winnie's beautiful eyelashes trembled as he blew on them, feeling speechless at his careful and awkward movements. "Are you trying to comfort me like a child? Stop blowing, it doesn't help with the pain at all. If you want me to feel better, just don't make me angry."

"When did I make you angry? I've only spoken the truth. As for Rock, you don't need to stop me. He hurt you, if I don't teach him a lesson, what kind of man would I be?" Lawrence's tone was calm, but his eyes were unusually cold.

Winnie glared at him, feeling helpless. She had to change the subject, so she teasingly glanced at his waist and said, "You're not much of a man right now. Do you think I haven't seen it before?"

Lawrence, mocked mercilessly by Winnie, had a dark expression on his handsome face. Despite his anger, he couldn't act on it. He gritted his teeth and tightened his grip on her waist, pressing his firm abdomen against her, his thin lips harshly brushing against her earlobe.

"Just wait, my illness is only temporary. You saw that night in the bathroom, it's not that I can't perform, I'm just injured. I'm already receiving treatment. Soon, you'll see how capable I am. Darling, you remember, don't you? You can't forget."

"Rogue!" Winnie blushed instantly and glared at him.

"It wasn't me who started being a rogue, it was you who said I couldn't perform."

He smirked, then fell silent for a moment before saying softly, "Winnie, when you told me not to go find Rock, were you actually trying to protect me secretly? I'm in a slump now, the Rodriguez Group is in turmoil, anyone could frame me, and Rock is gaining power. Are you afraid he'll retaliate against me?"

His deep eyes were always sharp.

But she wouldn't admit it. Feeling embarrassed, she scolded, "You have delusions, you should seek treatment early. I just don't want you to go find Rock and mess up my marriage."

"Say what you want, I won't believe it." Lawrence raised an eyebrow, his gaze trailing down her beautiful neck, "You chased after me with such urgency that you didn't even wear a coat, let alone anything underneath."

Winnie was stunned, following his slightly burning gaze downwards, only to realize her embarrassing mistake. She had rushed down so quickly that she hadn't even put on her innerwear.

Now she was only wearing a camisole and his coat.

He was so tall, and as his gaze lowered slightly, he could see almost everything.

Her face turned crimson instantly. "You jerk."

"I didn't look, Winnie, don't be angry. I've seen it so many times before, I've memorized it." Lawrence explained in a warm tone, though his eyes still held heat.

"You're still saying that!" Winnie was completely furious and embarrassed.

Unable to stand it any longer, she turned around, wrapped herself in his coat, and ran back into the villa.

Watching her in his coat, which almost reached her ankles, Lawrence felt a sense of satisfaction due to the height difference between them. He was tall and strong in front of her.

With a slight curve of his thin lips, especially when he saw her pick up the medicine he had given her as she passed by the doorway, his smile deepened.

After a while, he finally turned and got into the car.

Winnie returned to the bedroom, her mind calming down along with the howling wind outside.

She watched Lawrence's cold and thin figure at the window, and her heart couldn't help but flutter.

She thought of Sierra's sudden death and Olivia's mysterious disappearance.

She was afraid, would Lawrence also suddenly disappear one day like that?

Winnie clenched her hands nervously, Rock's current power was different.

She picked up her phone again.

Driving a distance away, Lawrence received a text message on the dashboard of his car from Winnie: [Lawrence, I warn you again, don't go find Rock, otherwise, I won't talk to you for the rest of my life.]

Lawrence narrowed his cold eyes, his thin lips curling deeply under the streetlight.

She said she didn't care about him.

She was so worried about him, even sending a text message to remind him.

Lawrence felt a hint of concern, realizing his place in her heart was different.

Slowing down the car, he held the phone with his slender hand and replied slowly: [Okay, I promise not to go find him. Will you treat me well for the rest of my life?]

After he sent the message, Winnie didn't reply.

But Lawrence wasn't disappointed, he knew she wouldn't respond, that was just how she was.

As for Rock, he was just trying to appease Winnie. He couldn't let this grudge go so easily. Without giving Rock a taste of his own medicine, he wouldn't be Lawrence.

He feared no one.

Rock seemed to care a lot about his refined and gentle facade, so he would expose his true colors and make him look bad.

The next day, after applying the medicine Lawrence gave her, Winnie's face was indeed less swollen.

It wasn't any miraculous medicine, but for some reason, she felt less pain.

Was it just psychological?

Winnie felt speechless about herself, thinking about Lawrence's concern for her last night.

After breakfast, she took Sidney and Oscar to the kindergarten.

Although Oscar's intelligence was much higher than average, the two brothers still needed to attend school normally.

They hadn't been able to attend kindergarten properly when they lived in Lymington before.

When they arrived at the kindergarten, she took the children down. It was still early, so Winnie squatted down, looking serious, "Sidney, Oscar, did you eavesdrop on Elliott and me talking in the study last night, and then tell Lawrence about it?"
