Chapter 267 Get Out of the Company
"If there's anything, contact me anytime," Rock didn't say much.
After hanging up the phone, Winnie put a mask on her son, covering him tightly, and carried him into the building through the built-in elevator.
All the floors were open, even the offices of important senior executives and shareholders had started working one after another. The corners of Winnie's mouth became colder and colder. Upon reaching the top floor, as soon as Winnie stepped out of the elevator, she saw Darcy entering the shareholders' conference room from behind.
She immediately put her son down, her expression changed slightly, and she took out the car key. "Darling, since you're so clever, do you know how to get in the car and hide?"
Sidney sensed that Mommy's tone was off and nodded.
Winnie quickly said, "Mommy will come down in ten minutes. Hurry, go play in the car and stay safe!"
The little guy turned and returned to the elevator.
Winnie stood up straight, took a deep breath, and walked straight to the shareholders' office in her high heels.
When she pushed open the door, all the old shareholders and Darcy were chatting and laughing, not hiding their flattery.
"Ms. Ordelia, under your leadership, Triton will soon embrace a new future!"
"We've heard about Ms. Ordelia's strong management skills."
"Ms. Ordelia, this is a gift I bought from abroad. You..."
"Oh, everyone's here." Winnie sneered as she walked in.
Darcy, who was being complimented by everyone, raised her eyes slightly and felt uneasy when she saw Winnie.
Mr. L didn't return home last night. This morning, she checked the driving records of his sports car and found a new address. Darcy had Jeffrey investigate, and it turned out to be this woman's apartment!
But at this moment, she felt extremely comfortable.
She smiled pretentiously. "Miss Anderson, coming to my new company, is there something you need?"
Winnie smiled faintly and moved away from the chair beside the podium. She confidently strode down, looking around at everyone. "Your new company? If my memory serves me right, it was me who paid the auction company and redeemed Triton in person last night."
Darcy flicked away the nonexistent dust and glanced at Jeffrey.
Jeffrey arrogantly laughed, "Miss Anderson, Mr. L dotes on Miss Ordelia. He has a lot of money, and it's just a matter of a phone call to the auction company."
These three years, their shares in Triton were frozen and eventually turned into asset liquidation.
Now, Darcy is willing to buy the company, with Lawrence R's influence, Triton is poised to soar!
They had obtained this information in advance, so they didn't rush to liquidate their shares with the bank and have been waiting for the asset auction.
Unexpectedly, this Winnie appeared, causing trouble.
She cannot be allowed to redeem Triton.
Mr. Mitchell, the original shareholder of Triton, who holds great weight in his words, impatiently looked at Winnie and said, "I really don't know what you're doing back at the company?"
"Winnie, three years ago Triton was on the brink of bankruptcy under your management. You disappeared without reason for three years, and now that Triton is on the road to recovery, you show up?"
"A sensible person like you should leave quickly; there's no place for you here!"
Several shareholders spoke up, making things difficult for Winnie.
A faint smile appeared at the corner of Darcy's mouth.
Winnie remained unfazed, casually touched her ear, and looked at Mr. Mitchell, saying, "Three years ago, Triton was pushed to the brink of bankruptcy by Lawrence R. I thought everyone knew that Lawrence R is our common enemy.
This submissive appearance towards our enemy really makes people look down on you."
"You..." Mr. Mitchell paused, his face turning red with anger.
Mr. Jones stepped forward and said, "In the end, it was your failure to manage the company!
Now Triton has been purchased by Ms. Ordelia; the company has nothing to do with you anymore. Do you still dare to dream of being the CEO? If you cause any more trouble, security will escort you out!"
"Everyone, let's not argue," Darcy softly intervened, "Miss Anderson was the former CEO after all, and she may still have attachments to the company, but Miss Anderson, you also need to face reality. Mr. L favors me and bought the company and gifted it to me through proper channels. Rest assured; I will manage it well."
"Sigh, Miss Ordelia, why are you being so polite to her? You're just too kind!"
"I heard Winnie even provoked you to your face last night and has done a lot of bad things to you in the past. You're truly magnanimous."
"In comparison, Winnie, you're truly useless. Why are you still clinging on here? If I were you, I'd leave right away!"
Winnie coldly observed these people. Three years ago, when she divorced Lawrence R, Triton encountered trouble, and it was these people who demanded to sell their shares.
Mr. Jones, the one who sold the Triton building, was still standing here now.
As for Darcy, she had already made her move on Triton three years ago.
There's no way Winnie would let the company be mistreated in her hands after three years.
She remained composed, took out the auction agreement from her bag, and slammed it onto the table, saying, "I wonder what Mr. Rodriguez will give in return."
In the following scene, Darcy tries to make Miss Ordelia leave, claiming that the auction results from last night were invalid. However, Jeffery quickly counters her, stating that the auction company has already processed Miss Ordelia's payment, and thus she should not confuse the situation.
The other shareholders also urge her to leave, as they have already refunded her money. Seeing this, Darcy smirks. Winnie remains calm and taunts Darcy, mentioning that her payment has not yet been received and that the procedures are not yet complete. Winnie suggests that Darcy should come back in a few days if she wants to become Triton's CEO.
Darcy, taken aback, is left speechless. Winnie asserts her authority over Triton and commands Miss Ordelia to leave. Darcy clenches her fist but retreats, realizing she has no grounds to retaliate.
Winnie remarks that she still holds control of Triton for the time being. Mr. Mitchell and Mr. Jones follow Darcy, attempting to please her and ignoring Winnie. The remaining directors angrily stare at Winnie, expressing their discontent.
Manager Nelson, who arrived hurriedly, scolds the shareholders for their disrespectful behavior and reminds them that Ms. Anderson is still the CEO for the time being. The shareholders leave the scene without further ado.
Manager Nelson turns to Winnie, his eyes slightly reddened, and remarks about the rumors surrounding her death during the past three years. Winnie calmly replies that she has indeed returned.
