Chapter 260 Son Exchange.
Saying that, the bodyguard came over and picked up Oscar.
Oscar was stunned, knowing that they must have mistaken him for someone else. He turned around and ran towards Mommy's direction.
But before he could take a few steps with his short legs, the bodyguard scooped him up and begged desperately,
"Sidney, please, if you run again, Mr. L will chop off all our heads!" Mr. L? Who is that?
Oscar was just a child and now he was starting to panic. He tried to use his phone bracelet to contact Mommy, but it slipped off in the struggle.
"I am not the child you are looking for. You've got the wrong person! Don't catch me, I'm going to call the police, help me, Mommy!"
"..."
Lawrence R listened to his son's cries for help through the earpiece, and his face darkened.
This little troublemaker was becoming more disobedient. Not only did he run out, but he dared to cry for help.
Doesn't he know that he might encounter his corrupt mother?
Luckily, he was found in time. He wouldn't give him a chance to come into contact with that woman and cause trouble in the future.
Lawrence R loosened his tie and immediately gave orders, "Quickly take the young master back to the villa, get in the car first! I'll be right behind."
"Yes, sir... Mr. L!"
Once Winnie put "Oscar" in the car, and the car drove away from the convention center. She finally breathed a sigh of relief.
Suddenly, a Bentley parked behind her car. Winnie recognized it as Lawrence R's car and instantly became nervous. Fortunately, the car just brushed past and quickly drove away.
"Whew~"
In the car, two different-sized voices let out a breath at the same time.
Winnie turned around and looked strangely at her "son".
"Oscar" watched his own luxury car drive away and let out a secret sigh of relief.
Meanwhile, inside the speeding Bentley, the real Oscar was anxious and constantly being held down by bodyguards.
Oscar was speechless. He had just seen Mommy in that car! Where were these people trying to take him?
The door of the apartment opened. Sidney, who had been held in Mommy's arms the whole way, was hesitant to let go.
So, this is what it feels like to be held by Mommy. No wonder the kids at kindergarten like to cling to their mothers; it really feels good.
Ah, he gracefully climbed down and took a moment to assess the environment where Mommy lived. This small place that couldn't compare to his family's swimming pool... how amusing.
Unexpectedly, his suit collar was pulled up, and Winnie placed her son on the sofa. With crossed hands, she had something to teach him,
"Oscar, Mommy wants to talk to you about the dangers of taking a plane. You're only three and a half years old, and no matter how smart you are, you can't fly alone. There are many bad people in this world, so never do it again, OK?"
Sidney sat there reservedly; his cool eyebrows furrowed. What could he say? He had never taken a flight in his life, even though his family had plenty of money.
But who let him have a father who was afraid of melting?
Silently contemplating for a moment, Sidney dared not answer anything. He was afraid of giving himself away.
Winnie raised an eyebrow; usually at this point, Oscar was the quickest to recognize his mistake and behave.
"Do you know you did something wrong?"Winnie asked.
Sidney had never apologized before, but he was also afraid of Mommy finding out. With a pouted mouth, he rigidly said, "Alright, I was wrong."
"..." Winnie's mouth twitched. In that instant, she felt like this tone resembled 'Lawrence R' a bit. But she shook her head; she must have misheard. Her little Oscar couldn't be like that scoundrel Lawrence R.
Winnie gently touched her son's head. "Oscar, are you hungry? Mommy will make you some food."
Sidney nodded and was about to order something he liked just as he would with Lawrence R. But Mommy had already taken the initiative to enter the kitchen.
In less than five minutes, she brought out a steaming bowl of tomato and egg noodles.
"..." The usually picky Sidney furrowed his brow. Would it taste good? After taking a few bites, Sidney found it delicious.
It was truly tasty. This was Mommy's flavor, with soft and tender noodles, and rich and flavorful soup. It wasn't worse than what Lawrence R made!
However, why did she abandon him for three years and live with another child? What exactly happened between stinky dad and Mommy?
Sidney pondered these questions...
Ding Ling Ling—
Winnie quietly got up to open the door.
Rock's tall figure appeared outside the door. "I couldn't reach you at the convention center and guessed that you had brought Oscar home. Is everything going smoothly?"
Winnie knew he was asking if Lawrence R had discovered their son.
She shook her head.
Rock patted her shoulder and walked in, smiling as he called out, "Oscar!"
Sidney froze. How did another person enter? And a man at that. Perhaps sensing his tall and gentle presence, standing beside Mommy, Sidney didn't like it at all.
He glanced at the man indifferently and then lowered his head to continue eating.
Rock innocently raised an eyebrow and asked Winnie, "What's wrong with Oscar?"
The woman let out a sigh and pulled the man to the side. "Rock, I told you that Oscar has the condition of switching personalities."
"Are you saying he's having a seizure now?" Rock questioned.
"Mhm." The two adults stood there silently, observing Oscar.
Winnie hesitated for a moment before saying, "Oscar's illness this time is very strange. It's one thing if he doesn't recognize me, but even his behavior has changed. He used to be lively and active, and wouldn't eat so reservedly like this. It's almost like a young master raised in a wealthy family."
Rock squinted his eyes, his gaze deep.
"The current differences in this little guy somewhat resemble Lawrence R. Not very likable..."
Sidney's ears perked up like a rabbit, silently thinking to himself, "You're the one who's not likable."
Although Lawrence R isn't likable, he is likable! Does this mean Oscar has revealed his true colors? Is Oscar really lively?
Sidney pondered in distress for a moment, then suddenly slouched back and crossed his legs, accidentally dropping his fork onto the floor!
Hearing the noise and seeing the even more unfamiliar Winnie, Rock said nothing.
Concerned, she ran over and touched her child's forehead, "Oscar, what are you shaking for? Did the plane frighten you?"
...
Rock's eyes narrowed even more, feeling that this Oscar seemed very unfamiliar.
After bathing, the little guy walked out of the bathroom.
Winnie tidied up the bed in the master bedroom and came over with a smile to hug him, "Where's your asthma medicine? Take it out and put it on the bedside table, then we'll go to sleep!"
What? Does Oscar have asthma?
What should he do? He didn't have any medicine. Sidney could only lower his head and lie, "Mommy, I accidentally dropped it on the plane."
Her son's asthma was a worry for her, even though it rarely happened, they still needed to have the medicine on hand.
Winnie patted his head, "Then you go up first, and Mommy will order it to be delivered."
Sidney looked at the bed, slowly walking there with his short legs. The soft and fragrant scent that belonged to Mommy enveloped him—the first time he would be sleeping with Mommy.
Ever since he was little, it was Daddy who took care of him.
Later on, Daddy became strict, and Darcy was cunning, trying every way possible to make him sleep alone in the children's room.
In the children's room, he was very scared and had seen very scary things, but whenever he told Daddy about it, he never believed him.
Thinking of this, the cold and vulnerable Sidney's eyes turned red as he touched Mommy's blanket. His eyes lit up.
I'm sorry, Oscar, but I'm going to take over Mommy's bed. He climbed up carefully...
Winnie ordered the medicine and turned back, only to see the little guy buried in the covers, only revealing a stern face, anxiously and somewhat eagerly looking at her.
"What's wrong? Don't know Mommy?" Winnie's heart softened as she laid down and hugged him, gently patting his back and humming a lullaby.
Sensing the child freeze for a moment before gradually relaxing and nestling closer to her neck, Sidney felt that Mommy was so gentle.
That feeling made him dizzy, exhilarated, and happy...
However, there was still a thorn in his little heart concerning one question.
He really wanted to ask, "Mommy, why don't you want me, only the other person? Baby?”
However, he couldn't ask.
After considering for a moment, Sidney tentatively asked, "Mommy...can you tell me about daddy?"
