Chapter 789 Lawrence Knew She Was Beaten

Winnie shook her head, her tone rational, "If I divorce him, I won't get married again. I don't care what others think of me."

"Actually, Elliott, the real reason I married Rock in the first place was to save Oscar. I had some feelings for him, but more than that, I was moved. I felt I couldn't let him down. Maybe he would be someone I could rely on for the rest of my life, so we got married."

"But I recently realized that I don't really know him. Being with him is exhausting, and I can't get close to him. As a result, he has shown me a side of him that I never knew. Of course, I have my faults too. Now, I'm not even sure if he's a good person."

Elliott was greatly surprised, his eyes gradually turning cold, "If he's not a good person, then I absolutely don't want you to suffer with him. How could a good man lay hands on a woman?"

"You're my niece, and whatever you do, I support you. I believe your father feels the same way. Even if you stay with the Blanchet Family for the rest of your life without getting married, your dad can take care of you."

Elliott didn't care whether Winnie was at fault or not. She was a lady of the Blanchet Family; she could have any man she wanted.

He used to like Rock a lot, but now that Rock dared to hit Winnie, he despised him.

"Elliott, I know you're worried about me." Winnie's eyes welled up, "You and my dad are my strong support, but I hope you don't tell my dad about this, so he won't worry. I'll handle it myself and slowly get a divorce from Rock."

"If you don't want me to, I won't say anything. Just take care of yourself." Elliott was helpless.

Outside the study, Sidney and Oscar were hiding. When they heard Lena's footsteps approaching, they quickly ran back to their bedroom.

The two brothers exchanged glances. Sidney punched the bed, "I can't believe it was that bastard Rock who hit Mommy! I told you Rock wasn't a good person, but you didn't believe me."

Oscar's eyes flashed with disbelief and a hint of pain. He was extremely regretful, "From now on, if he dares to hit Mommy, I will never have any good feelings for him again."

Sidney added, "I've hated him for a long time!"

Oscar's clear eyes were filled with coldness, his small fists clenched. For the past three years, he had always thought Rock took good care of Winnie. Was it all a lie?

Lawrence had warned him long ago that Rock wasn't as simple as he seemed.

Had he and Winnie both misjudged him? Thinking back to how he had even tried to matchmake Winnie and Rock, Oscar was annoyed.

Anyone who dared to hit Winnie should pay the price!

For the first time, he hated himself for not being strong enough to protect Winnie immediately.

Rock was definitely not a good person. Compared to Lawrence, he was even worse.

Oscar began to completely reject Rock. With red eyes, he said, "Sidney, we need to grow up quickly to protect Mommy."

"We should avenge Mommy! Are we just going to let Rock hit her for nothing?" Sidney growled, taking out his phone watch, "I'm calling Daddy right now to tell him everything!"

The call quickly went through.

Oscar watched closely, not stopping him.

"Sidney, why are you calling Daddy? How are things after your mom brought you home?"

Lawrence's deep voice came through, accompanied by the sound of flipping pages. Sidney's eyes reddened, and he quickly held back his tears to complain, "Daddy..."

"What's wrong? Why is your voice choked up?" Lawrence's voice turned slightly cold, "Did Rock bully you again?"

"It's not me; Rock hit Mommy! Mommy wore a mask today because her face was so swollen from his hit," Sidney said painfully.

"What? Rock dared to hit her?" Lawrence stood up abruptly, almost smashing the phone in anger.

He remembered seeing Winnie wearing a mask that afternoon and found it strange. He had even asked her about it.

She had mumbled something about having a cold.

He hadn't expected it was to cover up an injury.

His heart suddenly ached. She had been hit by Rock, and she didn't tell him.

The Winnie he cherished, whom he had never hit or scolded, had been hit by Rock.

At this moment, Lawrence's icy gaze was filled with a desire to tear Rock apart.

"How is she now?" Lawrence asked hoarsely, his heart aching.

"Mommy is very sad and in pain. She even told Elliott that she wants to divorce Rock. She said she actually..."

"Sidney, don't say any more." Oscar suddenly covered the phone, speaking softly.

Sidney, in the midst of his anger, turned to Oscar with a look of reproach, "Why won't you let me say it?"

"Mommy's private conversation with Elliott shouldn't be told to Lawrence. Otherwise, he'll think Mommy wants a divorce, and he'll see it as his chance. If he starts pursuing Mommy shamelessly, and Mommy hasn't divorced yet, won't that give Rock more leverage against her?"

This time, Sidney didn't easily believe Oscar's words. He pouted sadly, "You just don't want Mommy to get back together with Daddy."

Oscar rolled his eyes at him, "Do you think Mommy will be happy if she divorces Rock and gets back with Lawrence? If he doesn't change, what right does he have to win Mommy back? I'd rather she stay single, and we take care of her."

Sidney agreed with this point. Lawrence needed to change his personality, not be as unfaithful and domineering as before.

"Alright, you have a point."

Just as Sidney nodded, Lawrence anxiously called back, "Sidney, you just said your mommy wants to divorce Rock. Is that true?"

Lawrence's voice was tense and full of anticipation.

Oscar gave him a look. Sidney quickly coughed, "Daddy, stop asking. Isn't Mommy's injury the most important thing right now? We need to go be with her."

He hung up the phone.

Lawrence's tall and imposing figure stood by the floor-to-ceiling window of the Rodriguez Group building. The darkness outside spread, and the cold light seeped into his icy eyes, gradually filling them with a murderous aura.

Rock dared to hit Winnie. Damn it, he was going to find Rock and kill him right now.

However, his immediate priority was to bring medicine to Winnie.

Lawrence's long fingers clenched as he turned to grab his coat and immediately called Bryan, "Bryan, go to the pharmacy and buy the best ointment for external injuries, gauze, alcohol, everything."

"Mr. Rodriguez, what's wrong..." Bryan's worried voice was cut off as Lawrence hung up.

Lawrence strode out with his long legs, went to the garage to get his car, and headed straight for the Dazzling Estate villa.

A half-hour drive took Lawrence fifteen minutes to reach the villa's entrance. Only then did he take out his phone to call Winnie, his voice hoarse and cold, "Winnie, come out."
