Chapter 782 Healing

Winnie was driving aimlessly when she suddenly realized she had nowhere to go.

Covered in injuries, she couldn't go to Elliott's place, and Olivia was missing.

As for Lawrence, she didn't even want to think about him.

In the end, she parked her car in the employee dormitory garage of Melanie's place.

The dormitory was an apartment arranged by Winnie through the Blanchet Group, where Melanie lived alone.

After Winnie rang the doorbell, a sleepy Melanie came to open the door. Seeing Winnie's swollen face, she was shocked, "Winnie, who did this to you?"

Winnie didn't answer her question and walked in tiredly, "I need to use your bathroom, and I want to stay here tonight so Elliott and the others won't worry."

Melanie, with her mouth open, wanted to ask more, but Winnie had already gone inside.

The bathroom mirror reflected her torn black dress; she had fled in such a hurry that she hadn't even worn a coat.

Looking at the red marks on her arms, her eyes reddened, and her heart felt cold.

She didn't understand why things had turned out this way with Rock.

At the beginning, she had genuinely wanted to make the marriage work. Perhaps everything changed after Lawrence took her to the island.

The seeds of their breakup were sown back then.

After she returned, she avoided Rock's intimacy every time, unable to truly accept him.

That was probably why Rock was so angry.

She was at fault too.

"Winnie! Was it Rock who did this?"

Melanie waited by the bathroom door until she finally came out, holding some medicine. She remembered that Winnie had gone home with Rock tonight.

Melanie was furious, "Your silence means yes. What right does Rock have to hit you? Does he know about what happened with Lawrence in the restroom?"

"Mr. Harper told him." Winnie sat on the sofa, hugging her legs weakly.

"Does he believe everything Mr. Harper says? Mr. Harper has no evidence. Can't you lie?" Melanie saw the deep bruises on her legs and was both angry and surprised, "Winnie, you didn't lie, did you?"

"I didn't want to lie about this."

Winnie murmured in distress, her eyes cold and downcast, "Melanie, Rock called me cheap, and I think he's not wrong. I did betray him tonight."

"That's not entirely fair." Melanie knew Winnie was morally in the wrong, but she was on Winnie's side and naturally considered her perspective, "Lawrence was in an emergency, and you couldn't take him to the hospital. After all, he is your ex-husband; you couldn't just let him die."

"Besides, you've been married to Rock for so long, and Olivia told me you and Rock have never been together. I didn't understand it at first, but now I kind of get it. Maybe you're so used to Lawrence that accepting another man feels like a violation."

Winnie self-mockingly said, "Stop comforting me."

If being taken to the island by Lawrence was forced, tonight she had willingly helped him.

Seeing him in such pain and with physical defects, she couldn't harden her heart. It was instinctual.

Maybe she would never escape Lawrence's terrible vortex in this lifetime.

"Alright, I won't comfort you then." Melanie shrugged helplessly, but her clear eyes were very cold, reminding her, "But Winnie, domestic violence only happens once or countless times."

"This rift between you and Rock is permanent. I shouldn't be advising you to leave, but I have zero tolerance for domestic violence, and I believe you do too. Rock is clearly not a good person."

Melanie was furious, clenching her fists, "I used to be satisfied with Rock as a brother-in-law. He seemed so gentle and refined, but suddenly hitting you is really scary."

"And tonight, I heard from Mr. Jenkins that Rock has been cozying up to him, trying to find out Adam's preferences. It seems he not only wants to win over Mr. Harper but also aims for Adam, who is a level higher."

Winnie was stunned.

She hadn't expected Rock's plans to be so far-reaching. He even wanted to win over Adam.

Adam was from the company Lawrence was negotiating with.

"Now it seems Rock is quite ambitious. Even Mr. Jenkins said with a smile that Rock's ambition is probably very big." Melanie looked at her.

Winnie's eyes flickered.

After tonight, she had seen Rock's hidden violent side.

With such ambition, what did he want from her?

Winnie no longer believed his words of love, waiting so many years just to marry her and fulfill his wish.

She felt lost. She had to start investigating Olivia's disappearance carefully. Maybe Olivia knew something?

Azure Isle.

Olivia had been trapped in Jeremy's bedroom for three whole days.

She hadn't left the room, not even the bed.

Jeremy had made love to her no less than ten times.

In the end, Olivia, like a rag doll drained of energy, lay weak and dazed on the bed, nursing her injuries.

Meanwhile, Jeremy's feverish condition improved day by day.

His eyes became clearer, the corners of his eyes sparkled with vitality, and his thin lips curved into a satisfied, wicked smile.

He looked very energetic, and over these three days, his muscles had been effectively exercised!

Olivia was so angry she could barely contain herself.

Why did the same thing cause her so much harm, making her legs tremble and her body feel foreign?

While he grew stronger with each encounter.

Clearly, she didn't even have the strength to curse him anymore.

Barely conscious, she waited until dawn. Seeing Jeremy sleeping contentedly beside her, a glimmer of hope appeared in her dim eyes. She trembled as she tried to crawl out of bed to find something to eat.

She was starving.

Suddenly, a pair of long legs wrapped around her from under the covers.

Jeremy's long, calloused hand immediately pressed on her injured waist, twisting her into his arms like a ribbon. Without his glasses, his narrow eyes were half-open, looking incredibly sexy. His wicked features seemed a bit softer.

But his actions were as violent as ever.

With a flip, he pinned her down.

"You, you... what do you want now?" Olivia's face flushed, looking at her foot held by him, she was about to explode, her voice hoarse and on the verge of tears, "Jeremy, you beast, stop it, don't touch me!"

"One last time." Jeremy's thin lips let out a sexy hum, burying his head in her fragrant, soft neck.

"No!" Olivia screamed for her life, "Help, is there no one outside? Adam, please come check on Jeremy! He's going to kill me, can't you hear my screams for three days? I'm already dead, next he'll be defiling a corpse. Jeremy, you bastard, can't you let me rest for a bit?"

Jeremy was speechless.
