Chapter 882 Rushing to the Hospital
"I do like her, but what does that have to do with you? You're no longer my fiancée." Jeremy didn't deny it. His thin lips were cold. "Lynn, if you had any sense, you wouldn't be so shameless."
"If you keep pestering me, I won't show any mercy. I've already called my family to cancel the engagement. Don't make it so the Smith Family can't stay in Lymington!" Jeremy's words were merciless, and Lynn could hear the coldness in his tone.
Her lips quivered, and tears fell. "I love you! No matter how you treat me, I won't give up because letting go of a relationship is too hard. I've also come to terms with it. I don't mind that you like Olivia, but she is indeed pregnant now."
"I had a check-up at the hospital this morning and happened to see her at the obstetrics and gynecology department. I was quite shocked. How could Olivia get pregnant so easily? She usually doesn't take precautions. I didn't dare to ask her who the father is. Maybe it's Sam's child again?"
Jeremy couldn't hear what she was saying anymore!
He suddenly stood up and stormed out of the café.
His mind was filled with Lynn's words. He thought, 'Olivia, how could you? How dare you?' He had never been so devastated by anything before. His face was stiff with anger.
Who did she sleep with?
He kicked the car door hard and punched it, causing his hand to swell and bleed. "Olivia, I liked you so much. What did you take my affection for?"
Jeremy couldn't handle the blow.
He got into the car, gripping the steering wheel tightly. The car spun in reverse and sped down the road.
The glaring sunlight pierced through his gold-rimmed glasses, blocking the light in his eyes and casting a shadow on his high nose, making his handsome face look grim.
He couldn't believe she had slept with another man.
If she had, that man had to be him!
Ever since returning from Azure Isle, he had been having frequent dreams about making love to her.
The realism of those dreams had even made him question her.
That day on the second floor of the Dazzling Estate villa, he had stayed the night and almost got her to admit something.
But then Lynn ruined everything.
Olivia had said she didn't like him!
Jeremy had his pride. He would never pester Olivia again, so they hadn't been in contact. For days, he had been working with Lawrence to take down Rock, which was exhausting.
Now that it was finally over, he had shaken off Lynn.
Only to find out she was pregnant.
That day in Olivia's bedroom, he had almost pinned her to the bed. Just before the final step, Olivia had asked him if he would take responsibility if they had slept together before.
Wait!
Jeremy suddenly recalled this, and he almost crashed into the guardrail in his daze.
He had been so stupid not to think deeply about the meaning behind her question!
What if she was indirectly admitting they had done something and was testing him?
Then on Azure Isle, when Olivia was locked up by Adam and he had lost his memory, had something happened between them?
Had he forgotten those few days after regaining all his memories?
Was that possible?
Jeremy had heard that some people forget what happened during their amnesia after regaining their memories.
If he had slept with her, that would explain why he felt so close to her after returning to Trento City.
If he had slept with her and she was now pregnant, then the child...
Jeremy looked up at the sunlight, suddenly no longer afraid. His heart was gradually filled with excitement and an unknown emotion.
His breath caught slightly.
He stepped on the gas pedal, accelerating wildly.
He wanted to give himself another chance, to confront her and ask if the child could be his.
If it was, he would take responsibility immediately, for a lifetime!
In his imagination, Jeremy grew more and more anxious.
The car finally sped to the hospital. Jeremy's lips curled into a slight, trembling smile. His tall body and soul were both trembling. He couldn't describe the feeling, like meeting his first love, as if he would explode from blushing the next second.
If he had slept with Olivia during his memory loss and got her pregnant...
What a wonderful thing.
His ears turned red. The devilishly handsome Jeremy, wearing glasses, caught the attention of the nurses at the reception desk.
Jeremy asked frantically, "Hello, can you tell me which room Olivia from obstetrics is in? I'll pay you."
He took out money from his wallet.
Bribing people so blatantly?
The nurses hurriedly refused, blushing as they looked at the incredibly handsome Jeremy. His physique was too perfect. They nudged each other until one finally spoke, "Olivia is in room 405. Sir, are you here to visit her?"
"Isn't she pregnant?" Jeremy thought for a moment and couldn't help but smile. "I might be the father."
"Are you Ms. Smith's boyfriend?"
"Not yet, but I might soon be her husband."
Jeremy was usually quiet, but now he felt an urge to talk.
He strode towards the hallway, finding room 405 surprisingly hard to locate.
How should he question her later?
Would she be scared to see him? Would she be flustered? After all, they had fallen out because of Lynn and hadn't contacted each other for over half a month. She had been avoiding him on purpose!
Jeremy was increasingly convinced that something had happened between them on Azure Isle, which was why she was pregnant. In his memory, Olivia wasn't someone who would casually sleep with others.
As far as he knew, besides Sam pestering her, there were no other men around her.
When room 405 came into view, Jeremy's heart pounded!
His lips pressed tightly together, and he moved them slightly, finding it harder to breathe.
Jeremy adjusted his leather jacket, his long fingers brushing over his narrow waist. Then he raised his hand, cleared his throat, and gently pushed open the door, his voice hoarse. "Olivia! You..."
But the next words got stuck in Jeremy's throat.
The room was quite large, a suite, with a balcony facing the door.
At that moment, Olivia's slender figure was cornered by Sam on the balcony. From Jeremy's angle, it looked like Sam was holding her. Sam lowered his head and smirked wickedly, "Olivia, you seem so proper on the outside, but who knew you were so wild inside! It's okay, though. I'll make sure our child is born."
All of Jeremy's intense emotions and expectations were frozen in that moment.
'Our child?' Did he hear wrong? Did Sam misspeak?
