Chapter 128 Forced
“You... let me think,” Winnie said.
“Think about what? You were never a mistress,” L said assertively and domineeringly.
“That’s not for you to decide,” Winnie said softly, turning her head and quickly grabbing Olivia and Laura as she walked away.
The onlookers were still exclaiming, “So it was the boyfriend who did something wrong and is trying to make his girlfriend happy. A sky full of diamonds, such a sensational apology, if it were me, I would accept it.” One onlooker commented.
“This kind of gesture proves that this man still values his girlfriend a lot. The LED signs on the high rise were so romantic.” Said another onlooker.
“I also think it's romantic. I'm sorry, Winnie, I've been rebellious,” Olivia said with infatuation. “Women are all so cliché, Winnie, aren't you moved by his grand gesture of love?” Winnie agreed with Olivia's words; women were indeed cliché.
Who doesn't love flowers and diamonds? To be publicly acknowledged, she had designed so many pieces of jewelry, but no man had ever given her one.
Today, even if it was his brother's idea, she still felt his regard. Yes, what she wanted was an equal and cherished relationship, not to be placed wherever he pleased and controlled by his dominance.
“They’re following us,” Laura reminded, her lips curling as she looked at Winnie. Winnie turned her head and saw L, Benjamin, and Jeremy, three elegant and charming men following them in the mall.
The passersby couldn't help but stare. After circling around, Winnie's face was burning. She left with Laura and Olivia. They got in the car and returned to Olivia's apartment.
Laura looked at Winnie calmly and said, “You’re not really breaking up with L, right?” Winnie smiled bitterly and glanced at her belly,
“How can I break up? The baby is already four months old...” The thorn in her heart twisting as she spoke...
"Darcy is his recognized fiancée, and still he publicly displayed your name in the city center tonight. Did it move you?" Winnie felt that Laura was sharp.
Her heart was naturally disturbed. She glanced downwards, and Laura continued, "This thorn, will you swallow it or give up?"
"I believe that there is no substantial relationship between him and Darcy, but he must not have publicly called off the engagement for Darcy to have illusions. Especially since he deceived me, it shows that he doesn't value my feelings. In the eyes of his family and others, I am just a mistress," Winnie gritted her teeth.
Laura smiled, "I advise you to endure and win him over. Because if you withdraw, Darcy will never let you off after she gets engaged to him. You are smart, Winnie, you've understood this for a long time."
Winnie froze coldly yes, she understood that she couldn't retreat from this love affair. She was pregnant, and if she let go of L, Darcy's methods would never let her live.
It seemed that she could only hold onto L and push Darcy away. It was for the safe birth of her child, so that her child wouldn't have a stepmother like Darcy.
"You've made your decision," Laura laughed.
Winnie looked up and suddenly saw the marks on Laura's neckline. Her eyebrows furrowed as she asked, "What happened, Laura? Who did this to you?"
Laura was stunned for a moment, her face paled slightly, then she forced a smile and said, "Who else could it be? Darcy made Ray take it out on Me."
"Oh my, Mr. Martin is actually such a jerk?" Olivia also ran over and noticed the marks on Laura's neck. It looked ambiguous as it extended down her neck. Olivia was startled and said, "Darcy is truly wicked, causing so much harm to both of you."
Winnie's eyes paused for a moment as she looked at Laura, feeling that her time with Ray wasn't any better.
L doesn't love Darcy, but Ray loves her. Even if it's for Laura's sake, she had to drive away this Darcy woman for good!
Suddenly, Winnie became resolute in her decision.
The next morning, Winnie suddenly went to the hospital and made an appointment at the gynecology department.
Olivia looked puzzled. "You should have made an appointment at the obstetrics and gynecology department. The gynecology department is for abortions."
Winnie raised her eyelashes. "Yes, I'm going to have an abortion. Let L know and ask him to come."
"What?" Olivia was halfway panicked, but suddenly understood her intentions and patted her chest. "You scared me, daring to have my godson aborted."
Winnie placed her hand on her stomach and smiled. "I'm sorry, baby. I won't harm you. I just want to force him a little."
Olivia quickly went to deliver the message.
At the CEO's office on the top floor of Imperial Tower, when Luke finished investigating Mrs. L's whereabouts, his face turned pale. He hurriedly ran in to report, "Mr. L, Mrs. L is at..."
L thought that even a woman should forgive him at this point, and he was about to go meet her. "Where?"
"She's at the hospital. It seems like she wants to terminate the pregnancy."
L signed his name, on the document he was reviewing, Luke trembled at the sudden movement of his hand. The man dropped his pen onto the table, stood up with his slender figure, and his handsome face turned cold. "This damn woman, is she crazy?!"
His heart sank at the idea and he rushed out in a fit of anger.
At the entrance of the building, Jeremy casually walked in. "So, Mrs. L forgave you?"
L kicked him on the leg. "Your terrible idea, and forgiveness? She doesn't want the child anymore!"
Jeremy's face froze, it couldn't be true! He followed and rushed out.
At the central hospital, in the gynecology department.
Winnie waited in line for her number, received anesthesia medication, and entered the operating room with the doctor. As soon as she lay down on the surgical bed, there was suddenly absolute silence outside.
Then, a chilling male voice burst in, "Winnie, are you looking for death!"
A masked man rushed into the operating room. His dark eyes emitted danger, as if he wanted to devour Winnie.
Olivia was terrified. She had never seen such a horrifying side to Mr. L. She prayed that Winnie would be okay. Winnie pursed her lips and looked up at him silently, her eyes filled with sadness.
"You get up!" L forcefully pulled her up, dragging her off the bed. His large hand almost crushed her delicate wrist as he uttered curse words, "What the hell do you mean by this? You dare to harm my child? I'll kill you, Winnie. Is this how much you love me? Good, very good!" L was visibly in a panicked state of fear and anger all mixed together.
He wanted to devour her.
Winnie slowly raised her head, a dim stubbornness evident on her face, and she weakly smiled. "I didn't have a choice."
"Are you deaf?! Darcy is not the problem, never was!" He tightly held her hand, his fingertips icy cold.
Winnie felt the intimidating pressure from him, her pulse racing.
She felt a twinge of guilt in her heart and bit her lip, saying, "L, just because you don't see Darcy as a problem, doesn't mean she isn't. You said she wasn't your fiancée, but why is she so reluctant to let you go?” Winnie continued defiantly.
“It's because you unintentionally gave her hope. I understand that you have your reasons for keeping her in the company, and that's why your family accepts her.” Winnie purposefully pulled away from him as she continued.
“As for me, I can't bear the criticism from the world. I can only withdraw from between you two. Whether this child is born or not, it's difficult for Darcy to accept it. Instead of letting others torment it, I'd rather be ruthless myself. Anyway, I've already left you, everything should come to an end."
"Who allowed you to leave me?!" L's chest heaved as he pulled her into his embrace.
His embrace was so cold and hard, at this moment, Winnie's broken heart wasn't acting. She slowly reddened her eyes, hugged his waist, and weakly said, "I don't want to leave you either. I choose you, so you have to guarantee and respect me. To be honest, I can't tolerate Miss Ordelia by your side. Consider it my jealousy."
L looked down, gazing at her fair face, and breathed a sigh of relief.
He frowned deeply, "What do you want me to do?"
