Chapter 663 I'm Moving In

Even though Winnie saw firsthand today how bad things were inside the Rodriguez Group, she didn't expect the Rodriguez family to be in such dire straits.

"Is your information reliable?"

Olivia shrugged helplessly. "I've been with Lawrence these past few days, so what I heard can't be false. I checked quietly, and in the past few days, the Rodriguez Group has paid over a hundred billion dollars to those companies. Lawrence probably has no other options left. The chip development was a huge gamble for him. If he won, the Rodriguez Group would be on top globally. If he lost, well, this is a complete downfall. It's really quite sad for such a big conglomerate."

Winnie lowered her head. "Today I saw that the Scott family wants to acquire the Rodriguez Group."

"These arrogant companies are just depending on the Peterson Group. I didn't expect that an affiliated company of Mr. Rodriguez would bring down the Rodriguez Group. I heard that Mrs. Hellen Rodriguez played a significant role in that. Mars has completely sided with the Peterson Group. With the Peterson Group fanning the flames, all the major families in Trento City are watching the Rodriguez family's downfall."

Olivia easily found out all this information online.

Winnie paused slightly. 'Hellen and Mars are mother and son, and Mars's biological father is Ronnie. It seems Mr. Rodriguez was thoroughly played by Hellen.'

She cooled her gaze and suddenly wondered if Lawrence knew about Mars's identity. She had accidentally discovered it back then but never told him.

"Given the Rodriguez family's current situation, it would be advisable to keep your two sons with you. It's in their best interest not to return to the Rodriguez family for the time being."

Olivia suddenly turned around and said, "But, does Lawrence agree with you taking the kids to live with Rock?"

Winnie's expression stiffened.

At that moment, Rock's gentle voice came from the door. "Uncle Elliott, I'm here. Oscar is here too. Where's your mommy?"

Sidney stared at the gifts in Rock's hands, not saying a word.

Oscar, on the other hand, smiled, his wise eyes glancing at Rock. "Uncle Rock, you don't have to be so polite when coming for a meal. Mommy is chatting with Olivia."

Rock's action of putting things down paused, feeling inexplicably uncomfortable. Logically, since he and Winnie were married, coming for a meal should feel like coming home. But Oscar, whether intentionally or not, made it sound like he was a guest.

He nonchalantly patted Oscar's head. "I bought some fun things for the three of you. Go check them out later."

"Wow, thanks, Uncle Rock!" Mia was happy to receive gifts and was very sweet.

Sidney wished he could smack Mia for being naive. He pinched her cheek angrily. "You can't tell good from bad. You'd still help count money if someone sold you. I really don't know who your dad is to have such a naive kid."

"You're the naive one. I won't let you talk about Jeremy like that. He's a man even more handsome than your daddy."

"Your daddy isn't Jeremy."

"My daddy is him!" Mia was so angry that she was about to cry, shouting loudly.

Oscar helplessly rubbed his forehead, glaring at Sidney, who was emotionally clueless. "Sidney, what did I tell you about controlling your emotions?"

"I can't do it." Sidney pouted, looking very distressed. "I can't accept Rock."

"I'm not asking you to accept him," Oscar whispered to Sidney. "I'll keep a close eye on Rock."

"What's going on? Are you kids fighting again?" Olivia asked, coming out after hearing the noise.

Winnie also came out and immediately saw Rock.

"Winnie."

Rock walked over and naturally took her hand. "Congrats on reclaiming the Blanchet family for your dad. You strategized so well that I didn't want to disturb you. I heard Ishara is in a bad state now. Everyone in Trento City is talking about her disgraceful identity as an illegitimate child. She doesn't even know where to hide now."

Winnie sighed. "Where could she hide? Probably in the Blanchet family. Mr. and Mrs. Blanchet still pity her."

"She shouldn't be able to do much now," Rock said with a light smile.

Elliott rolled out of the kitchen in his wheelchair. "What are you all talking about? Winnie, let Rock sit down and eat."

After dinner, Rock considerately cleared the dishes, looking like the perfect gentleman. He glanced at the two kids, smiling gently at Oscar. "Oscar, I have something to discuss with you all."

Oscar nodded. "Go ahead, Uncle Rock."

"Oscar, the villa your mommy and I will live in is ready. The house is big, and if you have time, I'd like to invite you and your great-uncle to come over and visit."

Before Rock could finish, Sidney turned around, pursing his lips and asking Winnie, "Mommy, are you moving to his villa?"

Winnie was taken aback, suddenly unsure how to respond. She knew that while Oscar might be okay, Sidney would be a challenge between her and Rock. Sidney didn't quite accept Rock.

She stood up, stopping Rock by the arm, and said softly, "Mommy will talk to you two about it. Oscar, take Sidney and Mia to the backyard to play?"

Seeing Winnie's pleading look, Oscar naturally understood. As a considerate boy, he grabbed the emotional Sidney. "Alright, they'll sort it out. Let's go play!"

"But I..." Sidney was eager to express his unwillingness.

Oscar covered Sidney's mouth, who, like a cold version of Lawrence, inherited Lawrence's wild temperament entirely.

After the two sons were sent away, Winnie pulled Rock outside.

Rock looked down at her gently. "What's wrong, Winnie?"

"Sorry, Rock, I might need to delay moving to your villa for a while," Winnie explained with a troubled expression. "Sidney is still a bit resistant. He's very stubborn. And Oscar was just found. He has some injuries in his head that I'm not clear about yet. I want to bring him home first and let him adapt for a while."

Actually, she was also afraid that if she moved the kids over rashly, Lawrence wouldn't let it go easily.

Rock stared at her thoughtful eyes for a moment, then smiled. "I see. It's not a big deal."

Rock leaned in, touching her long hair, and whispered, "If you can't move to my place, then I'll move here. It's the same. I'll find a villa next door for Ms. Smith tomorrow. Once Sidney and Oscar accept me, you can move."

Winnie was stunned. She didn't expect Rock to suggest this. She was a bit taken aback.

Rock smiled, his gaze deepening. "Winnie, you don't still not welcome me, do you?"

"Yes, how could I not welcome you?"

Winnie shook her head, her mind in a mess, instinctively covering her embarrassment. "But I have to stay with them at night. The bed might not be big enough for you."
