"Mom was sick before, secretly put down in the hospital's operating room by Leo. At that time, I was imprisoned in that hospital and happened to see her," Oscar answered.
Sidney's eyes widened as he recalled, saying, "Wasn't that about a month ago? No wonder that day mom came out from the hospital after a stomach check, saying she seemed to have seen you. Later, we went to that hospital to find you, but there was no trace of you. Mom felt depressed, thinking she was hallucinating. It turns out no! Ishara really locked you up in the hospital!"
Oscar nodded and whispered, "Now Leo is not here, but his household servants are, and his daughter, too. Sidney, to make it short, there are some speculations that I can't disclose right now. While Dad's actions may embarrass Ishara and make her marriage to the Rodriguez family pointless, I find some satisfaction. However, this is not a lasting solution!
Sidney's tone turned gleeful once more as he remarked, "I am delighted that Mom is no longer entangled with that scoundrel, Rock. She remains oblivious to the devious schemes he has been orchestrating behind her back. He is cunning and deceitful; I saw through his facade long ago. His intentions of marrying Mom are solely to elevate his status within the Blanchet family; his aspirations are grand! Additionally, just last month, there were whispers of Mom being pregnant... Sidney's words furrowed Oscar's brow.
'Indeed, Mom has had children before; as an experienced person, how could she not know she was pregnant?'
'Did dad hide it? So, Mom was unaware. But then, how was the baby aborted?'
In Oscar's mind, the clue of Ishara's pregnancy suddenly clicks into place. He recalls hearing before that Ishara's pregnancy appeared suspicious and somehow linked to his mother.
All of a sudden, his suspicions begin to align. "When did Ishara become pregnant? I need to find out the exact timing as soon as possible," Oscar thought. "Sidney! Tell me the exact time of Mom's miscarriage! Do you know how far along she was in her pregnancy?" Oscar urgently asked.
"It... it was at the end of the month before last, after she had the endoscopy; half a month later, when Dad returned from his business trip, he discovered she had a miscarriage. Rock mentioned that Mom didn't want the child! I'm not sure how far along she was in her pregnancy. All I know is that one issue led to another; Ishara announced her pregnancy.
