Chapter 890 Interrogation
The cosmetic surgery hospital was closing for the day, and there were hardly any customers left at night.
When Lawrence's tall and imposing figure suddenly appeared, it immediately caught the attention of the reception nurses.
Everyone stared at Lawrence's face, which was more perfect than any plastic surgery could achieve, astonishingly handsome, and they couldn't take their eyes off him.
But the intimidating aura Lawrence brought with him made them all freeze in their tracks.
At a glance, it was clear that Lawrence was not a man to be trifled with. His noble attire and well-tailored suit accentuated his commanding presence.
The nurses exchanged glances and decided to find the chief surgeon.
On the spiral staircase, Oscar was coming down with a backpack.
Beside him was Audrey Carroll, a specialist in female facial sculpting at the hospital.
Audrey asked Oscar, "Little one, I've been looking for your parent with you for a while. Have you found them?"
"Yes, Dr. Carroll, he's right there."
"Dr. Carroll!" At this moment, a nurse also called out.
The nurse pointed in Lawrence's direction, "It seems like a customer has arrived."
Her tone was uncertain, not because Lawrence was a man—after all, the hospital had many male clients—but because no man with such perfect features had ever come for plastic surgery.
Audrey's gaze followed, and when she saw Lawrence's cold and deep face, her professional admiration was evident, and she was momentarily stunned.
She snapped out of it and asked Oscar, "Is he your parent?"
"Yes, Dr. Carroll."
"I'll take you to him."
Audrey gently took Oscar's hand and led him down the stairs.
When she looked at Lawrence again, a blush appeared on her charming face. She handed Oscar over and said softly, "Sir, your child somehow ended up at our hospital this afternoon. He seemed lost and insisted that his parent was here for treatment. He stayed in my office for a while and asked me to help find his family. It's getting dark, and if you hadn't shown up, I was about to call the police."
"Thank you." Lawrence nodded.
Oscar stood beside him and gave Lawrence a steady wink, signaling that they could proceed.
Lawrence spoke, "Dr. Carroll, is it? I'd like to thank you. Can we talk in your office?"
Bryan made a gesture as if to take out some money.
The other nurses saw this and understood the meaning of 'thank you,' feeling envious.
This was a big shot! If he was single and had a child, wouldn't Audrey have a chance?
"Is it convenient to go to your office?" Lawrence asked Audrey again.
Audrey blushed even more. What the nurses were thinking might not be far from her own fantasies at the moment. Lawrence's features and physique were too perfect, and his watch was extremely expensive.
She shyly nodded and led the way, "Sir, my office is down the hallway."
"Are you the head of the facial department?" Lawrence asked casually, glancing at the wall introduction.
Audrey humbly replied, "Yes, I'm very skilled in female facial plastic surgery."
"Let them clock out!" Lawrence suddenly said, looking at the nurses who were watching the scene. He intentionally stepped closer to Audrey, his deep voice very seductive, "Dr. Carroll, I happen to have some private plastic surgery questions to consult you about. It's not something I can discuss in public."
To talk to her privately?
Audrey didn't understand whether Lawrence wanted the nurses not to disturb them or if he intended to invite her to dinner afterward.
She knew the tactics successful men used to pursue women; some had tried to woo her this way before.
She quickly told the nurses, "It's already seven o'clock. Everyone, clock out quickly. I'll close up after attending to this customer."
"Dr. Carroll, but you..." a nurse hesitated.
"It's okay. I often work the night shift alone, don't I?" Audrey wished they would leave sooner.
After the reception nurses left, Oscar's sharp eyes glanced at Lawrence.
Lawrence raised his chin slightly and waved his hand.
Bryan and the bodyguards went to the front door and locked it from the inside with a few clicks!
Audrey had just reached her office door when she turned around, shocked by their actions.
She quickly looked up at Lawrence.
Lawrence's chiseled features were backlit, making him appear very tall. She had to strain her neck to see his eyes clearly.
But at this moment, there was no emotion in Lawrence's eyes. He simply pursed his thin lips and pushed her into the office!
"Sir, you..."
"I'm sorry."
"Sir! What are you doing?" Audrey was completely panicked!
What was this? Had she gotten herself into trouble? Who exactly were Oscar and Lawrence?
"Little one, is this really your father?"
Lawrence's voice was calm, with just the right touch of coldness, "We have some questions for you."
"Dr. Carroll, just answer truthfully," Oscar said, his smile gone.
Audrey looked at the angelic Oscar, finding it hard to believe the cunning glint in his eyes at this moment.
Oscar returned to his serious demeanor and walked into the office.
Lawrence followed, closing the door with his large hand.
Audrey was terrified by their actions. She backed up to the desk, "What do you want?"
"You've treated this customer, haven't you?" Lawrence threw out a photo.
Audrey stared at the photo, her eyes changing slightly. She quickly denied, "No, I haven't treated her. You have the wrong person!"
Oscar opened a laptop, smiling, "Dr. Carroll, your work computer has customer information. She came to your hospital twice, both times consulting with you! Have you forgotten?"
"How... how do you know my computer has customer information?" Audrey was completely shocked.
Oscar glanced at Lawrence, a slight smile on his lips, "Did you forget I was on your office computer this afternoon? Later, you took me around the hospital, and I hacked into every office computer. My daddy has a bad temper, so I advise you to seize this opportunity."
The air grew tense.
Lawrence cooperatively took off his suit jacket, rolled up his shirt sleeves, revealing his strong, muscular arms.
The cold light from his watch made Audrey shiver.
It was only now that she realized she had fallen into a trap. Lawrence had never been interested in her.
She was in trouble because of Ishara!
But Ishara had paid her a hefty sum to ensure that her consultations remained confidential, or she would be in big trouble!
She couldn't say anything.
