Chapter 47 Dismissing the Female Secretary for Her
Ava wondered who could it be in the private room if it wasn't Winnie. Someone else must have been present. There must be a reason why Winnie was seated so calmly in the booth.
The crucial point was whose passionate voice was currently emanating from the private room.
Ava's mouth twitched as she saw Winnie look up and gave her a cold. She couldn't stop Eudora in time as she had already rushed over and kicked open the door to the private room.
In the private room, the lighting was dim. Leonard was drunk and excited as he pressed down on two women on the sofa with his shirt undone. He shamelessly enjoyed himself.
One of the women was reluctant and struggled to resist.
The other woman had an expression of enjoyment as she passionately hooked her arms around Leonard's neck and moved in for a kiss.
"You two sluts dare to seduce my brother! Winnie, get out of here! Wait, where's Winnie?"
Eudora rushed over in anger and flipped the faces of these two women toward her but then froze for a moment. "Lily? Ava, is this your friend? And Victoria... Isn't she that recently popular celebrity? This—"
Eudora's expression underwent a dramatic shift. She abruptly averted her face, looked at Ava with a dark and wrathful stare which reflected a feeling of being manipulated. "Aren't these people just opportunistic friends of yours? Now it makes sense. You aimed to set up Winnie, falsely implicating her in seducing my brother, only to discover that these two audacious friends of yours had slept with my brother!"
Eudora wanted to slap the two women who were on the bed with Leonard but before she could hit one of them, Victoria was the first to flee. She had originally been called over by Jason and thought that he couldn't resist having sex with her again but as soon as she went in, the door was locked.
She had no idea what was going on. It was completely unexpected.
"It wasn't me, I have no interest in Leonard, I was just passing by, and I have a boyfriend. Ava, please clarify to Eudora for me." Victoria's turned sour as she directed an intense gaze toward Ava, conveying her displeasure.
Meanwhile, Ava was still standing dumbfounded by the door. She didn't expect Lily and Victoria to be inside.
She suddenly felt that big trouble was coming her way. Originally, she wanted Eudora to catch Winnie and Leonard fooling around so that Eudora can give Winnie a good beating.
Unexpectedly, it turned out to be her own two friends.
Now she seemed to have trouble explaining herself to Eudora. She thought to herself, 'Winnie... Yes, that slut. She just laughed coldly earlier. It must be her who ruined everything I had planned.'
At this moment, Daniel walked over and asked in a deep voice, "What's going on?"
"Daniel, you have the audacity to ask what's going on?!" Eudora suddenly pointed at Ava angrily and continued her vent. "Your girlfriend wanted to frame Winnie with Leonard and I don't know what happened but somehow these two women were the ones in bed with Leonard. Even if Victoria is innocent, what about her best friend Lily? She's absolutely shameless, begging men to fuck her. She's just like Ava!"
Daniel's gaze darkened as he looked at Ava. "Is what Eudora said true? You wanted to frame Winnie?"
"No, Daniel, how could I frame Winnie?" Ava immediately pretended to be wronged and wanted to explain.
However, this time, Daniel didn't succumb to her manipulations. Reflecting on the past, whenever Winnie and Ava had conflicts, he consistently sided with Ava, perceiving her as fragile.
But this time, it was Eudora who exposed the truth, and Daniel had to believe what he saw.
Perhaps Ava wasn't as innocent and fragile as he had thought.
He left Ava to clean up the mess.
However, Eudora completely ignored Daniel. She dragged Lily and stripped her off of her clothes in the hallway. Eudora then began to scold her. "Everyone, come and see, this shameless whore. Were you sent by Ava? Daniel, what do you think? Do you think by sending someone to seduce my brother, you can inherit the Davis family? I will tell father about this! Your mother can't escape from this now."
Ava's face turned pale and she took a few steps back. She only wanted to mess with Winnie a little but was taken aback at how things took a turn against her.
She saw Daniel's cold face and immediately became speechless. She had finally left a good impression on Mrs. Davis, but now she had caused trouble again.
Lily was beaten badly by Eudora, publicly stripped of her clothes. Although she was vain, she also had a sense of shame. Her delicate skin was exposed to the many men around, who looked at her with greed and mockery.
Lily panicked and covered her face and pleaded with Ava while holding on to her leg. "Ava, I was wrong, I was confused for a moment… Please clarify the situation to Eudora for me, okay?"
Ava had long realized that she was trouble and couldn't even protect herself, let alone look after Lily.
Without hesitation, she kicked Lily away, adding insult to injury. "If you have evil intentions, how can I save you? I have never taught you to be so despicable. Don't embarrass me in front of Eudora, get lost."
"Eudora, I really don't know why she did this. Please don't misunderstand me." Lily begged.
Lily was ruthlessly trampled by Eudora and saw everyone who had gathered to watch the commotion unfold. Everyone was sneering at her with their phones out to record the scene.
She tightly clenched her fists and felt like her face had been trampled into the ground.
Ava... That woman. Tonight, the humiliation of being deserted by her would remain etched in her memory. If she didn't retaliate, she wouldn't be true to herself.
Winnie was seated in the booth quietly as she watched the entire absurdity that has taken place in front of her. She then calmly stood up as she clapped her hands.
Ava was so eager to get back at Winnie that even the result of the competition the other day was not enough to satisfy her.
Winnie wouldn't hesitate to seek retaliation on behalf of Olivia, turning the tables and allowing her to face the consequences once again. However, the uncertainty remained as to whether Mrs. Davis would become aware of this small incident.
Nonetheless, Lily and Ava's friendship was ruined. This matter would sow seeds of hatred in Lily's heart, and in the future, she could become Winnie's tool.
Victoria would also be affected by this and Winnie would give her a cold, piercing gaze in return if Victoria ever came running back to her.
Ava was the one who disturbed her and her best friend's peace. Now, she returned the gesture.
The next day, Winnie had just finished lunch with Madam Rodriguez in the villa.
The landline rang, and it was a call from Mr. L.
Taylor answered and said to Winnie, "Ms. Winnie, Mr. L has sent a driver to pick you up and take you to his office."
…
"Come on up," Madam Rodriguez said to Winnie.
"Huh? Why?" Winnie replied, slightly clueless.
Madam Rodriguez smiled and went upstairs to pick a Chanel suit. "No matter what he wants to do, Winnie, dress up nicely, go to his company and outshine the other women. You are already beautiful, and you will look even better in this pink outfit."
However, Winnie pondered whether she would truly go to his company and if she could uncover Mr. L's identity.
She suddenly felt a little excited, and when the assistant came with the car, she immediately got in.
The black Bentley drove into a nondescript office building in the city.
The assistant took her to the 28th floor where there were many other companies in the same building after getting off the elevator. Winnie took a look and realized that it was a rented office building.
Soon, she arrived at a very ordinary office.
Behind the glass door, a man in a tailored suit sat at the desk with a solemn expression under his mask.
There was a document placed on the desk, which seemed completely staged.
Winnie stared at his crossed legs in disbelief and asked, "Mr. L, is this your office?"
